Moreno's wife just had baby boy last night: Alberto Junior

Congratulations to Alberto and his family and the way dad is playing this season Alberto Junior will be a proud lad.

18 Nov 2017 22:13:43
Second that credit where its due I am really happy to see a player want to stay and fight forhis club career npt about money or contracts just about wanting to do his bestdinner for liverpool #respect alberto.

18 Nov 2017 23:39:30
he won me over weeks ago, good to have a quick, intelligent, left footed left back and another to boot. Congrats all round moreno.

19 Nov 2017 00:37:57
Well said. Moreno has not let the abuse or distractions get to him and he fully merits his place in the team. Congratulations to him for becoming a father, and the boy did not even let that get in the way of being a true professional. Great lad!

19 Nov 2017 04:20:56
Moreno's form doesn't really come into any discussion about him having a child, are we only going to start congratulating players who are playing well now? 😂

Nah i've been his biggest critic but whether he is playing amazingly or woefully he is still a member of Liverpool Football Club, it is only a game. Important to remember that no matter what happens on the pitch all of our players are still human beings.

Congratulations Alberto Snr.

18 Nov 2017 20:51:00

Eds25 you ok.

{Ed025's Note - yeah fine thanks ace, got a lot of stuff on the moment mate but i will be back to tell you lot the truth very shortly..but thanks for asking..

19 Nov 2017 06:48:52
That's good take care.

{Ed025's Note - you too mate..

18 Nov 2017 20:03:43
Good evening ed001, how are you mate?

Dud you watch the game? I see Pipco playred and scored, was you surprised he started? Seems Klopp bottled it in dropping him.

Wanted your feedback please mate. i've read the Sharkopod over and over but do YOU think we will return for VVD in January or more likely De vrij or Howedes.

I remember in thr summer you was in contact with people within the club who suggested we would go for him. Are those noises still there mate?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - I saw the game, it was a surprise but it worked out well and he did actually play well and try, so we can have no complaints.

We have moved on from VVD unless Saints indicate they have decided to sell.}

18 nov 2017 20:29:10
people were queuing up to hammer pipco on here.
as i said irrespective of whether or not he’s staying he will still prove to be a pivotal player for the rest of the season.

{Ed0333's Note - how can he be a pivotal player if he leaves?

18 Nov 2017 20:36:25
If he leaves it will be at end of season.

18 Nov 2017 21:04:33
"as i said irrespective of whether or not he’s staying he will still prove to be a pivotal player for the rest of the season. "

Until he has a fanny wobble again. He has to show Barcelona why they need him every once in a while.

{Ed0333's Note - Do you know what irrespective means mate? If he moves on January 1st 2018 how can he be a pivotal player for us until the end of the season which ends in May 2018?

18 Nov 2017 21:04:34
As long as he is performing then play him.

18 Nov 2017 21:26:25
Ok ed cheers for reply mate. De Vrij will do for me.

18 Nov 2017 21:31:37
Max you said yesterday he should go. Make your mind up.

18 Nov 2017 21:34:47
Thats good news ed001,much rather see us try gimenez or de vrij before going through the humiliation of paying £70 million for van dijk.

18 Nov 2017 22:12:24
I’ve never seen Gimenez or De Vrij play but I have seen VVD play, if Klopp still wants him that’s good enough for me, regardless of how much he costs.

18 Nov 2017 22:15:01
"Max you said yesterday he should go. Make your mind up. "

You need to go read my post again.

18 Nov 2017 23:44:16
i'm worried he may leave in January. I think if Liverpool were in a realistic title chase he would stay til the summer. I still think we can win it but I'm probably the only one. Champions league progress may decide pc leaving in January or june.

18 Nov 2017 21:40:30
Ed33
Everyone else knows what I meant
I clarified what I meant.

{Ed0333's Note - ok mate no worries. Have a super weekend

19 Nov 2017 04:01:45
The club have colossaly ballsed up on the defensive side of transfers, but i genuinly do believe we are a centre back and a defensive mid away from a potential title challenge.

18 Nov 2017 19:46:21
One goal conceded at home in the league so far this season in the league, dodgy defence, just a confidence issue away from home, supporters criticism on social media effecting the players? Discuss.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 20:22:07
Definitely a dodgy defence. The batterings at Spurs and City support that.

18 Nov 2017 20:24:52
Our defense is dodgy, Klopp is terrible, Firmino is a terrible striker, and Salah is overrated.

18 Nov 2017 20:37:23
Most of the defence and keepers have been here for a couple of seasons at least. If it was confidence it would suggest a small window. However this has been our weakness for a number of years.

18 Nov 2017 23:51:03
is George t joking? top goal scorer over rated? stats can lie but not that one. Our defence have proved time and time again that they can keep teams out at home. confidence away? defo. Klopp is far from terrible, people purr over city but we're playing some beautiful football too. Klopp has won way more than he has lost against the top 6 sides. way more. Liverpool have had our blip and we are coming strong, I think we are slowly and quietly building up to a dramatic chace down of city. Will we make it? doubt it but anything is possible.

{Ed0333's Note - Oh I hope my friend we are “quietly building up to a dramatic chase down of City”. Can you imagine if we won the league from 12 points behind? I would perform favors for Klopp his wife refuses to.

19 Nov 2017 06:06:28
I second what Jayden said, to say it's a confidence issue is just delusional. This has been going on for many years now so it's a lot deeper than that. Get in the right defensive reinforcements and we're title challengers 100%, and that for me only means 1 or 2 players.

19 Nov 2017 11:04:17
Whilst the goals conceded is a very good start, it's not the full picture. Some games we get a clean sheet because the opponent is very wasteful. It's more than a confidence issue, it's part organisation, part confidence and part quality.

18 Nov 2017 18:50:36
Great game from the lads today. 3 goals scored, clean sheet, Salah starting to look like Fowler with pace etc.

What is Salah's ceiling? He has 14 Goals in 18 games! He started the season scoring about a goal every other game, and then in the last 2 games he has scored 4! If he carries on at this rate, we could be looking at a record breaking Premier League goals tally. He is easily looking like a 40 goal a season player in al competitions. That is terrifying!

What an absolute monster. Thank god he's a Liverpool fan. Sign him to a 9 year contract and give him the key to the City. Build a god damn statue if that's what it takes; DO NOT LOSE THIS MAN! I am not exagerrating when i say, he may actually become the best player we've had in my lifetime.

Wow. I'm going to get a drink to calm myself down. Pinch me.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

{Ed0333's Note - Post of the day so far. I love it when people make me laugh.

18 Nov 2017 18:58:48
Yet some are begging for an out and out striker. HA HA.

Salah putting most out and out stirkers to bed.

18 Nov 2017 19:04:47
MK mate I know what you mean I love him just love him. You know what excites/ scares me is that with no exagerration he could have easily had close to 10 more goals to his current tally so far. He hits the 40 goal barrier this season I would happily carry him around Anfield, actually to hell with it around Liverpool like some sort of royal prince.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m with you Alonso Salah’s goal tally would have been unbelievable had he even scored 50% of the glorious chances he’s missed. But I’m not complaining mind, he is incredible and he’s ours.

18 Nov 2017 19:17:35
Salah has been immense this season and the guy always plays with a smile on his face. Mane has also been a top top signing for us. But people are kidding themselves if they say they wouldn't want a world class goal scorer in between them. Did Luis playing up top effect Messi or Neymars tally, has Aguero effected Sane, Sterling, Jesus or De Bruynes. What about costa last season with Hazard and Pedro. No they just added more goals and complimented them and won them leagues. But yeah we are 5th so why would we need a top striker.

18 Nov 2017 19:29:33
Not saying a top striker is the priority though as it's clearly not. However I wouldn't turn one down. I think we average something like 20+ shots a game. Games like today are great but it's the games where we fail to score or capatilise on our chances which are the ones that result in us not challenging for titles and is where a top striker could be the difference.

18 Nov 2017 19:32:56
Jayden. add a stirker and you might take Slaha's presence away.

Salah is basically our striker. Who is this striker that is going to be scoring 14 in 18 matches for us. HA HA.

18 Nov 2017 19:44:28
Let's be honest, Salah pretty much is our striker. What is the difference between Salah who starts out wide and drifts centrally, or Lukaku who starts centrally and drifts out wide? People care too much about theoretical positions and where the dots are on a magnetic tactics board.

All i care about is that we now have 4 players on the Premier league top scorers list. Salah (9), Mane (3), Coutinho (3) and Firmino (3). Only City with 5 players have more individuals in the top 20. Mane and Coutinho have been missing as well so would probably have double under normal circumstances and Lallana would probably be there too had he been fit.

We have more than enough goal scorers. I couldn't care less what numbers or positions they play if I'm honest. It's all in peoples minds. We're like a swarm of locusts going forward since signing that Egyptian God. Can Amy locals tell me if The Mersey is running red?

Speaking of Salah though, who's up for an E-petition to get him to knight the Queen? I'd love to see Queen Lizzy down on one knee as he gave her his blessing.

What a man. We love you Mohamed Fowlah!

18 Nov 2017 19:44:50
A lot of Salah’s goals are caused by Firmino vacating the centre forward area allowing Salah to take that space and get in a position to score goals. If you had a traditional forward instead of Firmino that space would be occupied by that forward and a lot of the space in which Salah currently operates would vanish. Instead of complaining about what we don’t have maybe we should be praising Klopp for creating the circumstances where Salah can be this affective.

18 Nov 2017 19:52:22
I don't get why people are so obsessed with getting a striker. It's firmino that creates the goals with his movement, his touch and his ability. I wouldn't want yo see him replaced up there. When he's on form we r great. He's the perfect foil for mane and salah.

18 Nov 2017 19:53:56
Max so do you think only 1 player can score in a match 🤦🏻‍♂. Another goalscorer will just add more threat to a team. Or should we just sell Mane as well because he is getting some of Salah's chances too 🤦🏻‍♂.

18 Nov 2017 20:06:43
Jayden, Salah is scoring plenty. Why exactly would you want to take that away from him? If we do add an out and out striker (who ever that may be), let's hope he will score as many as Salah while trying to provide the out and out strker with chances.

Some people will never be pleased.

18 Nov 2017 20:22:50
Who cares
Let klopp get on with it. none of us are experts.
If it works then why question it.
Its the defence that we can all question.

18 Nov 2017 20:26:14
Salah and Mane are proving that maybe we don’t need an out and out striker. Salah is a quality player and looks an absolute steal. He was every bit as good as Dybala last season and he’s carrying that on. Was dead happy when we got him and he just keeps getting better.

18 Nov 2017 20:39:19
Last time we had an out and out top class striker was the last time we competed for a league title. But like I said we are 5th so that's just as good these days. A striker would compliment Mane and Salah not hinder them.

18 Nov 2017 20:39:46
"Its the defence that we can all question. "

5 cleans sheets in 8 matches all competitions since start of October.

That is an improvement, surely?

18 Nov 2017 20:43:22
Sandon if you think we shouldn't debate then why come onto a forum yourself.

18 Nov 2017 20:54:26
I think you're missing my point lads. With a top class striker in between them not only would Mane and Salah still score the same amount but their assists would go through the roof and so would our goals for. Look at the games Salah and Mane haven't been effective this season. We lost or drew them. Striker is not a priority position but we are here to debate and if a top striker came In I would be over the moon. After all looking at Klopps signings there is probably more chance of a top class striker coming in than a keeper or centre half.

18 Nov 2017 21:01:20
"A striker would compliment Mane and Salah not hinder them. "

So you want 3 players scoring 14 goals in 18 matches each?

Come on mate. This is not fantasy football.

18 Nov 2017 21:32:58
Max 🤦🏻‍♂.

19 Nov 2017 00:55:31
i am impressed with salah, he is scoring goals from right left and centre, long range headers tap ins you name it.

19 Nov 2017 02:17:55
The best thing about Salah is we did not buy him for goal scoring. More like attacking outlet on either flank. So there is no pressure on him to score which can only be good thing when a player has goal scoring opportunity.

19 Nov 2017 03:08:13
Hallo Mr Baytay, "I don't get why people are so obsessed with getting a striker. It's firmino that creates the goals with his movement, his touch and his ability. "

You are wrong. We need a striker who can do what Firmino doing albeit not as well but can rack up 25 goals. There are strikers who can still do it. Like Auba, Lewandowski, Suarez, aguero, Jesus, Griezmann even Sturridge when fit can do it.

But Firmino is not in that class. We need players of that class yet cost us at most 40mil. I believe there are players out there just that Klopp and team not thinking laterally.

19 Nov 2017 08:42:36
What we are saying is if a top striker plays then Salah does not score as many goals. So that means if Firminho scored his chances yesterday then Salah wouldn't have scored his. How does that even work out they are all separate chances. Unless the striker is stood on both Mane and Salahs toes for the whole game he is not going to be in the same place to steal their chances. A top striker could and I use the word could have stopped us dropping important points in the games that Salah and Mane didn't score in like Utd, Burnley and Newcastle etc this season.

18 Nov 2017 18:50:15
Great win today and seems like the team is finally learning some defensive solidity. 5 clean sheets in 8, all competitions since beginning of October.

Salah, signing of the season. This guy just wants to play football, gives everything and is scoring at a sublime rate. Have not seen a player who is as humble as Salah on a pitch in a very, very long time.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 20:28:22
Salah has the lot, pace, skill, goal threat and work rate. Both him and Mane are always looking at being in the right place as well. Really positive performance and result.

18 Nov 2017 18:47:08
good result from the lads today and salah is turning out to be a bargin let's hope we can turn Chelsea over next week and go level on points with them.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 19:12:28
Was gutted when signed for Chelsea instead of us now looks to be a blessing.

18 Nov 2017 20:29:31
He’ll be extra motivated against Chelsea as he’ll want to show them what they missed out.

18 Nov 2017 18:30:30
Good victory today and Salah what a signing, absolutely love the little fella. Top 4 finish and a trophy and good run in the Champions League and that would be good base to push on for next season. Really good defensive midfielder to player with Naby Kieta and a solid defender or two and I think we are set, oh and an attacking midfielder to replace Coutinho. Btw Mr Alberto Moreno, I thought the guy had to go in the summer window just gone but wow, credit when credit is due he is playing well in every single game. The fact Ed1 said he a hard worker, kept his head down and seems to be a nice guy means I now have a soft spot for him. Play like how we did today and without jinxing it we should beat Chelsea next week!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 17:53:07
Shelvey playing a blinder. Benitez cooking up bus breaker. Nice.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

18 Nov 2017 18:17:53
Yeah how's that working for them now? Shocking defending.

18 Nov 2017 19:44:13
You went and jinxed it : (.

18 Nov 2017 17:27:28
Great win today. I know the attacking boys will get all the headlines and rightly so but special mention for moreno. Thought he was excellent again today. Offering great width and energy down the left. Don't wanna jinx things but keep this up Alberto and there is no need for a new lb.

Believable12 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 18:16:58
Moreno is really playing well.

18 Nov 2017 17:18:45
Agree great result. Very tight now between 2nd and 6th with Spurs dropping points today. Think this will be the tightest battle for top 4 ever so we will need to maintain this form and most importantly keep picking up the wins.

{Ed0333's Note - very true but if is wasn’t for that pesky Man City I’d be getting excited about a title charge.

18 Nov 2017 17:27:44
I thought Coutinho played well.

18 Nov 2017 17:29:16
I’ll be honest Ed0333, at this point getting some good form, a top four finish and a trophy would be good. How good is Salah by the way? Fancy him getting 20+.

{Ed0333's Note - You fancy Salah Mr Dennis?

18 Nov 2017 17:33:49
I'd be really happy with a trophy, but tbh, top 4 for the 2nd year running would do us good! We have the squad to do well in the FA Cup, so who knows, we could get lucky.

18 Nov 2017 18:17:43
Fancy him getting 20+ goals. The missus might have something to say about that.

18 Nov 2017 18:49:53
Since Luis Suarez left, no Liverpool player has scored more than 14 goals in a season.
Mo Salah now has 14 and it's only November. 😶.

18 Nov 2017 16:56:54
I haven’t really watched VVD this season. Is this how he’s been start of the season.
He doesn’t look arsed. I could be wrong, but that’s the impression.
If so, is he the right person we should be buying, we hate what Couts is doing to us, but condone it from another player who wants to join us¿

I could be completely wrong. But I thought I’d ask. Don’t want to argue with anyone.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed0333's Note - Your opinion is appreciated Kopette. And your post is far from argumentative. In fact Im feel the zen from your words.

18 Nov 2017 17:19:50
I think it's a good point kopette. I've hardly seen him play this season to answer the question though.

18 Nov 2017 17:29:30
I don’t think Van Dijk did anything wrong today, in fact I think he saved Southampton a couple of times, I’d take him in a heartbeat.

{Ed0333's Note - I’d have De Vrij over VVD any day of the week.

18 Nov 2017 17:49:50
Yeah think people are being a bit harsh on vvd. I thought he did well today and would take him in Jan. Able to play in champions league too which is a big plus. Would love to see Gomez and vvd at the back from Jan onwards.

18 Nov 2017 17:51:20
sell couts and just take em both ed033 :D.

{Ed0333's Note - you might be on to something there mate. But I’d definitely keep the receipt for VVD.

18 Nov 2017 18:33:45
I'm not convinced either ed0333 but I've been wrong before.

19 Nov 2017 01:01:26
He had a good game, I’d have VVD.
I didn’t see any faults in his play either, it was just his expressions and body movement. If that’s just who he is then I just hope we go for him because he’ll improve us so much.
But if his behaviors today was because he didn’t want to play for saints, then that’s not cool.

Appreciate Ed. I’ve actually been trying to bring calm to my life recently, I’m glad you picked that zen up and not reading this site for a few weeks helps as well 😂
I’m joking, it’s all love.

18 Nov 2017 16:53:55
I just want to say s big sorry to Couthino. I asked a genuine question yesterday about weather he should play because I just felt he wasn't bothered about the team but I have to say he played well today and scored a good goal. So sorry about the post PC.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed0333's Note - Maybe Couts read your post yesterday Barry and that’s why he wasn’t smiling today. I’m sure your apology will change his demeanour.

18 Nov 2017 17:03:04
we need to get behind couts until he leaves. he is a liverpool player and is very important for us.

18 Nov 2017 17:14:46
I'm sure my post give him the kick up the ass he needed Ed😁.

18 Nov 2017 18:35:10
lads just looking back at the game today. have to give a special mention to A. moreno the boy has a great attitude and obviously wants to stay and play for us. he really has improved and according to the eds its down to his own hard work. he could have easily looked. to leave after falling behind milly last yr and went backto spain bit he chose to work hard and that's the attitude we need in our players. what a signing Mo Salah has been. top drawer. and he frightens defenders with his raw pace but he scores all types of goals. long may it continue. YNWA.

18 Nov 2017 18:37:28
Really trying to avoid the appearance of a hater, but I genuinely didn't think he was that great today. He scored but I thought firmino and salah were outstanding. I think him scoring and still being average is testament to his ability. it just makes me wonder where we could be if his heart was in it.

{Ed0333's Note - and if he just friggin smiled

18 Nov 2017 19:04:16
He does have a beautiful smile ed 😂.

18 Nov 2017 16:50:08
We all dream of a team of Henderson's.

The guy has been everywhere tonight. Great team performance quite happy with taa and a shout out to dejan. But Henderson has been omnipotent.
Also just a thought, salah has equalled Fowlers starting record, I believe, Fowler was nicknamed god, so is salah now going to be called Allah?

The future is bright my red friends.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

{Ed0333's Note - Omnipotent ark at you. 😀

18 Nov 2017 17:04:22
Lol those years of bible studies, I knew they would pay off one day.
Glad to have you btw. Welcome.

{Ed0333's Note - thanks mate

18 Nov 2017 17:08:54
I am glad the crowd snap at Henderson for backpassing when opportunity to attack is going on. He kindahold his hands up in acknowledgement. He has poor touch and cannot dribble, he can hardly turn with the ball, not sure if it's due to his injury.

18 Nov 2017 17:43:25
My opinion was that one time he didn't have the courage to turn not knowing what was around him, rest of the game impeccable.
He knew he potentially missed an opportunity, but if he got caught out and we conceded then fans would call for his head.
Think it was magnified because we were playing so well. My opinion only.

18 Nov 2017 18:02:55
Viagra. You have missed the fun the fans had with him. passing backwards. He even akcknowledged it. He looks good when the team dominates.

18 Nov 2017 15:55:47
Is the stat that Salah has more goals in his first nine games than Fowler got? Great company to be in. What a start to his Liverpool career, two great goals.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 16:18:57
At time of writing he's the top scorer in the PL too. More than Kane. More than Aguero.

But I'm sure we still need a natural no.9 to base our forward play around and have him hog all the chances.

18 Nov 2017 16:33:46
How can someone hog all the chances. Chances fall to players. One player can't demand them all. 🤦🏻‍♂.

18 Nov 2017 16:40:50
Salah is the best player in the league. I said it 🤗.

18 Nov 2017 16:52:58
salahs a bargain. I wonder how long we can keep hold of him.

{Ed0333's Note - life without Salah would be meaningless

18 Nov 2017 17:02:50
Actually he has 9 goals in 12 league games, Fowler got 8, some scoring feat there.

18 Nov 2017 17:15:10
We already have solanke, sturridge, ings, and origi impressing on loan too, all of who won't be complaining at not starting every game, anybody who believes a number 9 is the priority is just wrong.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m not sure I’d have any of the above in my match day squad apart from Solanke.

18 Nov 2017 17:39:31
A no 9 is not the priority but from the players you named above you can't be saying you would have them ahead of a world class goalscoring striker. After all the last time Sturridge had his best season it was when he was being complimented by a world class 9.

18 nov 2017 18:44:14
lads, i'm delighted with salah but less of the blasphemy. god was only a kid when he scored first-until he grew up to be something special whilst mo is already the complete player. that said, maybe a few more years with this form and he'll become a legend.

18 Nov 2017 15:51:07
Our boy Mo is unreal. You can only see the goal return getting better! 🇪🇬.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed0333's Note - I agree mate, I’m seriously doubting he’s human.

Fellow Reds, know it is highly unlikely but can never say never in football. Coutinho likely to leave in January how about offering high wages and going in for Alexis Sanchez. Class player, would fit in alongside Mane and Salah with Firmino player just behind or vice versa.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed0333's Note - Alonso you do realize that Sanchez has the final say in where he plays football? Nothing suggests he wants to play for us and he’s already turned us down before he went to Arsenal. If Sanchez signs for us I will be Ed’s 001 man slave for the next 10 years

18 Nov 2017 14:47:47
Hey Ed0333, could be me but haven't seen you on our page before, if so welcome mate. Yeah I know just throwing it out there, sure he will have his choice of PSG, Man City etc. If by some miracle it were to happen I will be sure to let Ed001 of this post!

{Ed0333's Note - I could adapt to the role of man slave pretty well mate.

18 Nov 2017 14:51:28
We don't need another wide forward we need a defensive midfielder and arguably a playmaker in the mould of brandt or lemar, as well as the obvious 2 centre backs. We don't need to be spunking the coutinho money on positions that are already covered.

18 Nov 2017 12:35:03
I know this will not happen, but I'll ask anyway. Mesut Ozil's contract expires in the summer, and let's pretend he would be interested in joining us, would you take him?

18 Nov 2017 13:13:46
No thanks he’s lazy.

18 Nov 2017 13:24:24
Watching the match and the difference in attitude between Sanchez and our want away player Sanchez no feigning injury and giving his all that's what the other player should have been doing and maybe he would have had some respect from fans
Sorry can't bear to mention his name but you all know who it is.

18 Nov 2017 13:26:57
No way. Were would he play? In the number 10 role if we switched formation? For me firmino would be a certainty for that position if we mixed things up and got a proper striker. Let him run up a huge wage bill somewhere else.

18 Nov 2017 13:47:31
I agree Longthing, I think he's talented but personally I wouldn't like him at the club.

18 Nov 2017 14:05:17
I'd take Sanchez any day of the week. Ozil is talented but we can't afford to have a passenger in the team. Coutinho has proven that this season a few times.

18 Nov 2017 10:41:17
Would anyone else take Tony Pulis for a short term assignment to work as a defensive coach and set piece defending coach for the first team, reserves and better younger players to try and improve defensive strategy throughout the clubs defenders?

{Ed002's Note - Zero chance.}

18 Nov 2017 11:42:52
Lay off the ale.

18 Nov 2017 11:03:30
Ok add but if the option was there would you take it up?

{Ed002's Note - I don’t really understand the question. Klopp has made it clear that he doesn’t want defensive help, regardless of his failings in the market and coaching the defence. Pills certainly would not be the answer.}

18 Nov 2017 12:37:24
Pulis would ruin our attack. We play out from the back, commit wing backs high up the pitch, play a high line, and have 3 midfielders all expected to press.

Pulis would demand we hoof it out, play sitting full backs, sit deep and have 2 dedicated midfield destroyers.

His teams are good defensively because of tactics. He sacrifices all attacking threat to keep it tight. He isn't any better at coaching defenders than anyone else. He just sets up his teams to protect them better. We need somebody to coach the mistakes out of them, not change the system to make us boring.

Hi Ed01, sorry if you've been asked already but is Suker on your very long list of legends? Loved him at the 1998 World Cup.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate he is.}

18 Nov 2017 11:22:37
Ed001, what about Gabriel Batistuta and Ortega?

{Ed001's Note - Batigol was and I have added Ortega.}

18 Nov 2017 14:10:54
Riquelme Ed?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, he is there.}

18 Nov 2017 07:44:23
Thank you for the Sharkopod Ed002.

Think it is better to let Coutinho hit the road now then it is one headache out of the way.

There is no point in hanging onto something which is going to hinder Liverpool.

Better off without him and will give the club sufficient time to negotiate for a replacement.

Keegan
Souness
Rush
McManaman
Fowler
Owen
Alonso
Torres
Gerrard
Suarez

All of the above players left us and, at one time, we would’ve classed all of them as integral to our team.

But the was team rebuilt.

The club continues to survive.

Coutinho, in terms of attitude alone, ranks well below all of them, IMO.
Why do we continually speak about him? His head’s elsewhere, soon he physically will be.

He DOES NOT want to play for Liverpool anymore!

Why do we care?

If your wife / husband let it be known they wanted to be with someone else, would you still be loving them the same way, wishing and hoping they’d just forget about their new partner?

Let’s move on, Coutinho: 2013-2017/ 18

Liverpool FC: Always!

To Ed001 if you’re around. I was thinking about players in the mould of Coutinho the other day and I remembered Teixeira. I thought he didn’t get enough chances while at the club. What do you think of him as a player and do you see any way back for him?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he has injury problems that will always hold him back.}

18 Nov 2017 06:35:30
Thank you Ed, true, he had problems with his back I believe. Whenever he played he looked like a good prospect though. Too bad.
