Looks like the FA are going to go for abuse/insulting behaviour as a way out of the situation.
Don't know whether that's a good thing as FA would be avoiding taking the issue full on. Whether that is good or bad for Suarez I don't know, but at least all foreign players will know where they stand in the PL.

I only hope that this situation doesn't lead to Suarez leaving as there aren't many superstars in the mould of Messi and Ronaldo in the PL. If he ups sticks and goes to Spain the PL will be badly damaged.

Those that say that not taking action where racism is alleged is condoning racist behaviour are right. But the consequences of the FA being perceived as being excessive will hardly need to be spelt out to the FA.
SKY pay premium prices for premium players and they are aware that money increasingly comes from emerging countries who want to see big name players.

Sepp Blatter may actually be trying to do the PL a favour with his statement, or ratcheting up the pressure if you believe in conspiracies.

Regarding Suarez, you need to read the FA statement to understand what it really means. They refer to an 'alleged' breach of FA rules...NOT 'the FA believe that Suarez has broken the rules'.

I fully support Suarez and believe that Evra was humiliated by Suarez throughout the game, and I mean in footballing terms. He was ripped apart by Luis all day on the pitch. Evra clearly lost in near the end, but NEVER mentioned anything to the ref about racism until Fergie took him by the neck to the ref after the game....what does that tell me....? fergie up to his old tricks again

Tel 1949

As a nuetral have to say don't believe suarez made racial remarks I do believe he probably gales him some insulting names to wind him up as he was well known in Holland for winding players up & intaganising them but never anything racial. Evra has form when it comes to making accusations my quess is suarez will get warning about behaviour but if its unproven surely evra should be held accountable for misleading fa but u know hel get away with it & why hasn't terry faced charges he got away with it b4 against ledley king {Ed001's Note - Evra does not have form! There have been two previous cases surrounding him, in both he stated that he never heard any kind of racial abuse at all.}

Answer me this Tel. Why would Fergie want Suarez suspended? Without him yous have no chance of beating City or Chelsea and I doubt Fergie has anything to do with this. In your current state you aren't a threat to us. Suarez has admitted saying something, Evra took offense. I think it could have been lost in translation.

Mumbles

This is the most innapproriate post I have ever read, and saddens me.

Your opinions are based on what, supporting Liverpool?

16 Nov 2011 22:26:00
I think people on here are making a storm in a tea cup over this Suarez race thing. People want to disown our best playing er because he MAY have said something which could be construed as racist? Only a couple of days ago people on here were saying how quick fans are to criticise after poor performances and now you want him out because of words? Very hypocritical of some on here.

That shankly quote about supporting the club through whatever has done the rounds on here last couple of days, posted by some of the people saying they want Suarez out if found guilty. He plays for this club which makes him part of it. Pay heed to the quote you've all been posting for it has never been more apt.

For the record i heavily dislike racism when its used to oppress people but if Suarez did say something which evra took to be racist he wasn't oppressing anyone with it. The words mean nothing if you choose to let it mean nothing. Crying racism at every opportunity simply draws attention to it and feeds it. Let it go

16 Nov 2011 21:51:48
Am I misunderstanding this Suarez race row? The FA have charged him so that means that he has a case to answer.
They have done their investigation after they spoke to Evra & Suarez and feel that Suarez has done something wrong, so I think people are wrong when they say the FA has got no evidence when clearly they must have.
If it was just about one word against another then they obviously couldn't charge anyone and would of probably asked both of them to "kiss and make up" or agree to disagree but warn them about future dealings with eachother.
I am worried that they will make an example of Suarez (especially after what Blatter said today).
I will back Suarez regardless of the outcome as we backed Molby when he got jail for drink/driving, and before anyone says anything I'm not racist
Finisher

I totally agree we should all back Suarez whatever the outcome.

mighty reds

Whatever the outcome ?? So you think its ok to be racist ? dw

Agree with DW, if he is found guilty of racism he deserves his punishment and before people start saying I'm using bias, please read my post on the Man Utd page.... HERBIE(MUFC)

HERBIE - I read your post on the United page and can I just say it is a view that does you credit, well done.

All the banter we have on the United page I have always considered you to be the most sensible and fair minded.

16 Nov 2011 20:54:57
Just a question 4 the EDS is there any sort of time scale on the whole Suarez situation by that I mean how long till he and we find out what punishment he will get ( if any ) or he clears his name?

Mat.lfc {Ed002's Note - No, but I am sure the club will wish to expedite matters once a response has been prepared.}

And Gerrard has had one major injury in his career that resulted in a long absence.

When he comes back from that injury and he will he won't be injury prone and he won't need replacing.

Lighten up prohets of doom on Gerrard, its boring, wait till your out of work sick and you hear the stories of being replaced, tell me how good it feels?

Remember Karma?

RE: Gerrard will need replacing sooner or later regardless of injury you muppet

He's also had 2 different injuries in the last 2 months :/

Under 19s abysmal tactically inept - no shape some vastly overrated players and some very poor - the defence is shocking - well done NGOo tireless

This is the exact reason why ed's are suggesting its early to blood them in the first team.

There are some moronic fans like u who think when they beat southend for 8-0, they are going to be world beaters in 2-3 years and then something like this happen they are goin to be worth less youngsters. I can't imagine the negativity towards LFC from its own fans these days. I never saw this kind of attitude from our own fans. I feel astonished and sad for this kind of behavior. Especially when u all bad mouth our youngsters, its really sad. An 18 year old can't take abuse like that. Pls all u fans who bash every one associated to LFC, Do u people deserve to mock on them. Are u all that perfect in every sense.

Not only players and managers need to follow liverpool way, even fans need to know what is liverpool way.

If bill shankly was still here today, he would feel absolute disgusted. I remember he said its the fans who made him to decide to manage LFC. We are all making him ashamed.

I come to this site every day to see who we are linked with, but i wish i see some other club's site since the disgusting negativity and abuse here is beyond unreal.

ask urselves guys, if some of ur kids or people who are playing for LFC and getting this kind of abuse, would u feel happy and proud about ur boy.

I bet most of u r not perfect in many aspects, but do u get this kind of abuse from anyone. Being a footballer is not that easy.

Abhi

A goal from a set piece, 2 goals from 20/25 yard crosses (with 2 defenders v 1 forward in the penalty area), centre half turned halfway up the pitch for another goal and that's 4 out of the 5 goals Lisbon scored. If you want to compete you start off with a water tight defence, they might as well have been Crosby shore statues.

Has anyone come to think that maybe Sportings u19's are in a different class to ours.
No doubt the people moaning about them getting beat are the same morons that think they should play every week.

KT!

Nice point KT!

Not too long ago we only have an academy where we produce players of championship standard. Since the last 2 years the progress we achieved in that department is outstanding. IMO we are the top of cream in the entire England regarding our academy. 2 years ago we are like nothing against manu and asrenal academies. I remember somewhere arounsd last season we beat mancs 6-0 or 5-0.

The sad thing is some morons forget all the progress and keep on blaming these tender youngsters.

It took 2 years to be one of the best in england from nothing. It will take some morhend and more time(years) to be one of the best in europe.

I hope some idiots will realize that world is bigger than soutend and liverpool. Just because LFC is bigger than Sporting regarding first team doesn't mean their academy is useless and pointless.

And also our academy can beat the s**t out of chelsea and mancity anyday.

Again how many games did mancity lost in nexgen.

I hope some so called knowledgable LFC fans realise this.

I was at the Liverpool ManU game and my take on the Suarez/Evra situation was this. Evra was trying to wind
up Suarez all game (in my opinion to try to cover for his
ineptness as a defender which Suarez clearly was exploiting).
In the end, Suarez ended up winding up Evra. Lets face it these things happen in professional football and I think Suarez
can be a professional wind up merchant. But I don't believe he
racially abused Evra and I'd be extremely disappointed if he did. I don't think Suarez needed to resort to such disgraceful behavior. I think the story is that Evra is a hot head and he lost it completely during the game.

Totally agree with you mate, Evra has a tendency to do stunts like this and I fully back Luis on this one.

There's a interesting peice on suarez in the independant regarding the case in question

Didn't evra do the same thing against chelsea not too long ago? Evra is theboy who cried race

rewflo {Ed001's Note - actually Evra is the one who said he never heard any racist remarks in the Chelsea case. It was Mickey Phelan who made the accusations, while Evra completely denied hearing anything.}

I stand corrected, thanks for that ed. I don't like to be mis-informed.

Rewflo {Ed001's Note - no worries, Evra has been tarred with the boy who cried wolf brush, when he has never done so.}

16 Nov 2011 21:12:09
Hey Ed i was wondering what you thought of liverpool going for Bannan of Villa? is there any truth and more importantly is he worthy? I think we should be concentrating on centre backs and a striker our midfield is packed already. {Ed009's Note - I could certainly see it. He is a very good young player in my opinion, and fits our criteria; another (predominantly) centre midfielder though?}

16 Nov 2011 21:19:01
Any body watching Liverpool vs sporting (Next Gen). There are really some great moments of embarrasment, ther. We are just no good against them.

Tooooooo easy. 5-1
Very very bad defeat on the day when we were completely dominated by the opposition. Too bad to call it a performance. Disappointing.

SL are a different class

I am agree with who said suarez not say that. not becouse suarez is our player. I think FA dont have strong proof and thats why they wait until 1 month to make a charge.

Seems LFC made the right decision :)

FA will not do anything with John Terry until it has been investigated and dealt with by the police. JT is in far more trouble than Suarez as the police are involved.

I think there should be a complaint put forward by every player that Rooney has a pop at with his foul mouthed rants! And to be fair, how many other players could be named!

16 Nov 2011 20:45:20
guys not to worry about suarez. There is no evidence at all. They have just gone with there feeling on the matter and gone with the wrong one. Once suarez appeals they will then have no choice to drop the charges through lack of evidence if any at all.

Ahoy - lets not get too hot under the collar chaps.

Suarez has been charged by the Football Association for alleged racism which as the counterparty (Mr Evra) wishes to pursue they are obliged to do.

Lets support our own - because the negativity on here at the moment has reached new levels.

Lets look at another case a proven money taking, family crime connected, serial philandering, England Captain is being investigated by the METROPOLITAN POLICE for an alleged similar incident - and not only do his club fans support him but 50000 national team fans turn up to cheer him on at Wembley.

Luis is no angel, as proven by biting in Holland and his antics at the World Cup, however Evra has lots of form in this area, remember the fight with a Chelsea groundsman, and he accused Steve Finnan of similar remarks to Luis - and I think Finnan was one of the better educated and least offensive footballers of recent times.

Please support the club which therefore means do not pre-judge Suarez. Whatever the outcome and end result decisions will need to be made internally but without OUR support for OUR club and OUR player we are all in danger of letting everybody down.

Support the club - and lay off the negative comments - The Chelsea fans have backed their own and currently are setting an example to us.

BOILED ONIONS

Boiled onions

The Chelsea fan have set an "example" as you put it,by singing songs about Anton Ferdinand.

I think this is a conspirancy by whiskey nose to destableise lfc,cos he knows he cant do it against kk,lets support luis,ynwa jimmybosun,

Sorry for the delay - was watching PAN-AM I like Christina Ricci

I also like aeroplanes - and often point at them.

The chanting by Chelsea fans shows their lack of class - and lack of understanding of the whole situation.

I would imagine that the chanting about Anton is by the the thousands of triple ripples (three rolls of fat on their necks before the earings on the shaved heads) who don't know any better - we do and need to display our knowledge and support.

Hey eds,
What do expect the fallout from the Suarez racism charge? The club seems to be fully behind him but this seems to be a case of protecting a prized asset. Hopefully he will be found not guilty on appeal but if found guilty will seriously go down in the estimation of Liverpool supporters.
Cheers,matlock24. {Ed002's Note - We are not going to speculate. It is pointless.}

Ed, I was under the impression that he has been charged but not been proven innocent or guilty of that charge.... Just that he has a case to answer...
Is this true?
In my opinion and it is only my opinion.... This case if it were a criminal court case would be laughed out of court due to a lack of evidence.... No complaints made to police.... absoultely no evidence either on camera or on any microphones which I found astounding as the incident occured on the goal line.... No complaints made by any other utd player and none made by the player to the referee at the time.
Just Evra's word against Suarez's word.
And the FA have decided to charge him.... LAUGHABLE... BUT understandable considering the FA has to be seen to be investigating the matter to its fullest conclusion.
Innocent until proven guilty in my opinion.
jonnybarnes89-90 {Ed009's Note - You are right. He has been charged like the police will charge a suspect with a crime, before then taking them to court. It means there will be a full hearing, to which they clearly believe there is a chance of a prosecution.}

ED009...what on earth are you saying ? Im sorry but you are completely wrong. Why do you presume that the FA have charged him as they clearly believe there is a chance of winning a prosecution ? this is absolute rubbish. The FA have no option but to charge him wether they think he is innocent or guilty. Evra will not drop the accusation, therefore it must go to a full hearing. They really have no option even if they know they cant win it. In my opinion Evra is going down a very dangerous path. If Suarez is found innocent due to lack of or indeed no evidence whatsoever, (which may well be the case), under british law Suarez would win a case for defamation of character because Evra has made accusations in public via the French press, without any EVIDENCE to prove his case. It is an open and shut case of defamation of character that Suarez would win, and the FA would then have to charge Evra.

That would be the best scenario, I would like to see happen.

Well said Tel.

16 Nov 2011 19:56:32
Hi eds not a rumour just wanted to know what your view is on the whole Suarez (alleged) comments towards Evra. I dont understand fully how Suarez can be charged when there is no evidence (In the most watched football match in the world) that Suarez said anything just Evra's word. Just look how quickly the John Terry video was posted up. I really dont think this charge is in any way founded and has basically made him look guilty. Do you think the English FA are doing it to draw away attention from (The English National player) Terry because it looks bad on English players if Terry was in fact being Racist? Thanks for any Reply
p.s Please post in rumours as I want to know every one elses view on the matter

YNWA,
RAH {Ed002's Note - Firstly it is not a rumor. You have come to a conclusion without knowledge of the evidence - do you still hang witches where you live. You view is that they have charged him to draw attention away from Terry is of course nonsense and clearly paranoia is setting in.}

16 Nov 2011 19:56:12
If our man has been charged by the FA, why are the police not looking in to it? (J Terry)
Ps can we have extra matchballs at Anfield please?
Jack the Groove {Ed002's Note - The police are looking at Terry because a complaint was made to the police by a member of the public.}

16 Nov 2011 19:48:45
The FA's statement, published on its official website on Wednesday evening, said: "It is alleged that Suárez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United's Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules. It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patr?ice Evra."

ALLEGED? So why has he been charged please help clear this for me eds {Ed002's Note - What is there to understand - it is alleged until proven.}

16 Nov 2011 19:18:54
Suarez charged by the f.a. What a joke its a month since the alleged incident. It is very clear they have a total lack of evidence. Why would suarez fight the charge if there was a small chance he was guilty. Whats going on eds ?(rdred) {Ed002's Note - How is it clear that they have a "total lack of evidence"?}

It actually suggests that the FA do have significant evidence. No organisation would accuse someone of such an alleged serious offence without being very secure of their position. That's not to say Suarez is guilty, as he has the right to reply.
I would imagine language experts would have been consulted in this case.

Luis has already requested a personal hearing, and is determind to clear his name.

None of us have seen evidence suggest guilt or otherwise, so i will be with holding my judgement. But if found guilty it should be dealt with very harshly, if found not guilty then what of Evra? Surely this would be viewed as defermation of charactor?

Interesting to see, what punishment( if any ) is giving to Suarez, compared to Terry who some how with the help of certain cockney press seems to be portrayed as the victim! All the best.

KNEE JERK

^^ You know this do you poster? If he played for any other team he would be guilty in your eyes. Unbelievable!

Do we know which F.A. rule/s exactly Suarez is alleged to have contravened ?
The 'abusive words' charge seems to be a cover-all.
If it's racism, they should just say that.
Cos that's what everyone's assumed. There's even some pr*** on the U8d pages going on about prison.
The charge / s should have clarity.
The Real KB

Edoo2 it is clear they have no evidence but they have gone with there feeling on what had happened, but when suarez appeals against there decision they have no choice but to drop charges because of lack of evidence if any at all. {Ed002's Note - How is it clear they have no evidence?}

If they had any evidence there would of been a clip from the game or at least a photo but there aint either of these. Unless evra had a recorder strapped on him somewhere lol.

Twisted what i said there! And didnt sign off either suprise! And i hav'nt seen any evidence Re Suarez but have in the case of Terry and thats my personal opinion! As stated if Suarez is guilty he should dealt with accordingly. Maybe read the post properly! Anyway all the best.

KNEE JERK

@unnamed poster who said "^^ You know this do you poster? If he played for any other team he would be guilty in your eyes. Unbelievable!"

Been looking into your crystal ball then recently? If you follow your own logic then surely you would be the same? Hypocrite.

16 Nov 2011 19:12:27
One definite side-effect of this Suarez situation will be to turn the heat up even further on Liverpool / Man Utd hatred. LFC have already stated that he / they intend to plead 'not guilty'.
So that'll do for me.
Whatever the club does in this, I will be behind.
If Suarez goes, fair enough he's done something to warrant it.
If he stays, and the club backs him, Evra can go and...
That's it in a nutshell for me.
The Real KB

He has been charged and will be found guilty, the sad fact is he could rob a bank and you would still be behind him purely cos he's your best player, football fans are sad and fickle.

Read what I said will you.
If he's guilty and the club get rid, that's the right thing.
And let's have plain charges here. Racism is racism, not abusive words blah blah.
Put him on a charge of racism if that's what he's done.
If not, don't let's have this wooly abuse charge.
The Real KB

16 Nov 2011 18:27:08
IF Suarez is found guilty, and IF he gets a punishment, what should the punishment be? Blair has already said if Suarez is found guilty, he doesn't want him to play for Liverpool again, what do the rest of you lot think?

If you were working for a business, and you were charged with racism and found guilty, surely you would be sacked or at least heavily punished?

G.A.G.U.S

I for one wouldn't let a Man U player tarnish my view our our Luis... A certain brainy man said that he wouldn't want him at LFC if proven guilty.. I'll judge Luis when we 'hear/see' ALL the facts. Till that happens, Luis has all my support. Lee YNWA

I dont think anybody cares what Blair thinks because personally i dont believe he did it plus there is not the slightest piece of evidence to even give Suarez a smack on the back of his hand, Suarez has never had any racist issue's in his career, I know he has had trouble with biting etc but i think he'd rather hit out than say something...I'd keep him in the team because he is world class and firing or benching him would be just stupid

MJ

Where's the proof?? There is no evidence so how can he be charged... Suarez: "I only called him what his Manchester United team-mates call him every day, they were as surprised by his reaction!" Both players have given their side of the story and its obvious now that they have taken Evra's side of the story... Isn't David Gill (Manchester United Chief Executive) on the FA board?? I rest my case

G.A.G.U.S - I said from the beginning that IF Suarez is found guilty then he deserves whatever punishment he receives; personnaly I would expect a very long suspension. However, he will not be sacked by the club - it is true that you and I would be sacked if we done the same thing but I am not a £40m asset to my employers (unfortunately).

I think we need to let the investigation run its course before we start handing out punishments.

JRG

The point is none of you or myself know if there is evidence. dont comment on what you dont know. just cos it isnt out there, and that nobody has seen any video footage. do not assume there is completely no evidence, surely they must have evidence to have charge him

At least JRG can have an unbiased opinion. MJ and Mr No Name you clowns, how can you say there is not the slightest piece of evidence? Why would they charge him unless they've found something?

G.A.G.U.S

I don't believe he did it either MJ. But the question was, what IF he is found guilty? I don't want a racist playing for the club I love.

You didn't answer GAGUS'S question, so i'll ask again. What should you think should happen to Luis, IF found guilty? And please don't answer like a politician, avoiding the truth and acting dumb. Just be honest mate, IF Luis is found guilty would you still want a racist at our club? If so mate, do you also think we should make a move for John Terry in January or the summer?

Thanks

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Ps. I still don't think he did it.

Just to be clear I am still backing Suarez as he is innocent until proven guilty. People are charged with offences by the the police every day and are found not guilty, just because they're charged does not make them guilty.

If Suarez is fiund guilty then he deserves a long suspension but There is far too much wild speculation and guess work on here.

JRG

Blair Mayne. You need to have a word with yourself mate. You are saying that we should sack our star striker based on some rubbish that horrible little nut sack Evra has thrown at him?

As Ed001 pointed out earlier, Evra sticking to his guns is enough for the FA to charge Suarez. Not the abundence of evindence. In this day and age, a little whiff of a racism claim is enough for nuggets to start talking poo doo ray. You should be ashamed of yourself pal.

Support is the word of the day. I think Suarez should be given a fine if found guilty. not sacked from the club. Have a word with yourself.

Scott78

Lets all back Suarez. Lets stick together. All hail King Luis.

mighty reds

I always back our players no matter what Scott. But if there is evidence proving Luis is a racist, then how can I support him then? Of course Luis isn't going to get sacked, but you too have avoided the question, what will you do IF Luis is found guilty?

It's like the houses of parliment in here. No one wants to give straight answers, to sensible questions. You tell me to have a word with myself Scott, why? Because I said IF Luis is guilty, I don't want a racist at our club, is this a crime?

Some of you should have a f*cking word with yourselves. Because it could turnout that Luis is guilty after all. But hey, as long as he's scoring goals for us, he can say what ever he wants. Just like IF John Terry is found guilty, he's the England captain so he's allowed to do or say whatever he wants.

This is all hearsay of course, but think. Would the FA not have charged him, if there was nothing to charge him with?

Racism is a f*cking no, no in my book, but probably ok in others books.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Ps. Disgusted with some of the comments on here tonight, ignorant f*cking idiots.

Even if he is found guilty how do we know he is TRULY guilty? I don't think he is guilty at all.

But in the case if he is TRULY guilty I don't think there should be measures so drastic that he leaves the club, a player like him doesn't come around too often, who loves the club and gives 100% every game coupled with exceptional ability. A serious talking to with the managment team and a ban would be enough to teach him a lesson.

But I stress that I am fully behind him and the club on this one and think he is certainly NOT GUILTY.

maka
YNWA JFT96

Some of you on here are an absolute disgrace. You are taking your red tinted glasses to another level. If he is found guilty of racially abusing another player, he can f++k off. Best player or not. I fully (for once) agree with Blair.

Ash {Ed001's Note - IF he is guilty, then he has to go, it is a no-brainer for me.}

If Carragher, Stevie or even Kenny, were found guilty of these charges, i'd want them to go too.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

I pray he is found not guilty, but IF he is, there will be a huge burden placed upon Andy Carroll. And I do mean huge.

Ash

I'm praying too Ash mate, I love Luis and always have (even at Ajax).

Ed, do you know how long this could rumble on for, thanks.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96 {Ed001's Note - I believe they have a policy regarding dealing with things as quickly as possible. I have been trying to find the statute or law of the game dealing with it, but it is heavy going reading through them! Off the top of my head I seem to remember them putting out a statement undertaking to hear cases within a set number of days of charges being made, I think it was a week, but I haven't found the article yet sorry.}

Blair and Ash, I take my hat off to you both, well done for using common sense over bias.... As for some of the others who choose to avoid answering the question OR say they will stand by Saurez IF found guilty you should hang your heads in shame.... For now he is innocent until proved guilty.... HERBIE(MUFC)

All we can do is pray Blair mate. Just when we think we have a truly world class player, it would be gutting for him to have to leave because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. I'm still hopeful though. Cheers Herbie for the post.

I've already had to throw away a £150 Torres canvas, I don't want to have to throw away a £50 Suarez shirt now aswell!

Ash

Ash, Blair, full agree with both of you, as for the other political answers ranging from simply ignoring the question to debating levels of guilt i despair!
Ash though, i do love that in the hot topic of the day there was still a very slight dig at Carroll? Sometime i wonder whether your his wife - your always 'on' him. I guess we will all wait with baited breath for the outcome of this debacle!

Andy C

And I'm starting to think you are actually not just Andy C, but Andy Carroll. The thing is, people say its the pressure of playing for LFC and that fans not rating him has led to him not playing so well. If Suarez goes, he will have a whole heap more of pressure on him as all of sudden, he will be the spearhead of LFC's attack. And that in itself is a huge responsibilty.

just seen a news article that the FA have charged suarez with racial abuse? is this right?

wildRED {Ed001's Note - why are you reading the Fail? Even more to the point, why are you trying to post up links from the rag that pays for that scumbag McKenzie to continue to promulgate his lies?}

It's also on the BBC website...

It's on the FA website ED and on LFC.tv.
Unless there is conclusive evidence i doubt it will wont be more than the FA telling us to deal with it.

KT! {Ed001's Note - I know it is everywhere, which is why I was questioning his decision to try and post up a link from that rag, or even look at it in the first place.}

Oh thought you just thought it was the scum spouting lies ED.
My bad.

How unusual that united get their way, F***in Evra wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw him...No proof from Cameras or microphones so how the hell can they charge him

MJ

If there was no proof than they wouldn't charge him, so clearly they must have found some kind of proof. {Ed001's Note - not true, the charge is made because Evra has made a formal complaint and stuck to his guns. A lack of proof is of no relevance, the FA have no choice but to act whether the evidence is plentiful or non-existent.}

I have a funny feeling Suarez may have incriminated himself with what he has said recently. But criticising Evra is harsh.

Been thinking about this for a while and someone else just hit the nail on the head for me - the subject is why do so many "fans" take the time to post stuff on here like "Arghh, i am close to the edge!>! we spent £300450 million pounds on Carroll and he hasn't laid a single golden egg yet - he must be the worst footballer ever. I think i am about to kill KK" or some other nonsense.

Someone a few posts ago said "why do this when its supposed to be only Liverpool fans on here? Who are you writing this for?" and i have to agree; as a Liverpool fan i want to come on a site like this and get some good fun banter that's totally biased towards people who like/support Liverpool. Maybe get a bit of gossip, maybe get ridiculously excited (unrealistically of course) that we may sign Jimi Hendrix in guitar attack [its a new position, a bit like the sweepers of yester-year]. Instead all i seem to read is "this players rubbish" or "this players rubbish" or even "Luis Suarez is rubbish" following a weekend of eating other defenders but sadly not getting a goal.

why?

Why bother doing it.

Who is it for?

I hate a defeat and hate a home draw as much as any fan, especially when we could (and i say 'could', not 'should'. Very important word 'could') have won - but have to try to point out we have been playing some pretty attractive football this season, ok admittedly not perfect for every single minute of every single game but it is much, much better than last year at this time. So why are we getting so unpleasantly cross all the time? Its even getting to the point where people are 'blaming' Gerrard for his injury. Does anyone in their right mind think Gerrard has got himself injured on purpose? [a bit off piste that, i'll go back to my main point].

The great Shanks said this:
Talking to a reporter about Roger Hunt - 'Yes Roger Hunt misses a few, but he gets in the right place to miss them.'

If the thing that makes Liverpool the best club in the world is the support the fans give then some of the posters on here need to take a bit of a step back and have a think. We are getting in the right places and the goals will start happening. It wont be over night but we need to keep being positive otherwise what are we? Glory hunters?

I for one am very happy, i like the drama of it.
Cheers
Joff
PS Eds in percent how likely is it we will sign Jimi Hendrix?
{Ed001's Note - I think a deal could well be close for January, though he is joining to play as a 'fender, not in attack.}

Great post! But i would have thought that John Lennon would be a more realistic signing.Local lad, that would work " like a dog" and would be a great influance in the dressing room, he would bring some peace and love. And just think of a Stevie G, Suarez and Lennon front line ahhhh "imagine" that...All the best.

KNEE JERK

Nice one Ed001 - whitty fella!

Just seen on Sky Sports That Saurez has been charged by FA over the Evra incident. Ed's can you shed light on how this will have implications for Liverpool FC.... for example will he be banned?

LFC4LIFE {Ed001's Note - he has not been judged, just charged.}

Abusive words and behaviour.
WTF !
Every match I've ever seen / played has had abuse. It's what footballers and the crowd do. Getting silly now.
The Real KB

Okay thanks Ed. Also wanted to say is it me or does anyone else find it funny how the Saurez issue has moved quicker than John Terry's situation, although there is plain video footage that shows what Terry said and none for Saurez??

Hope, he isn't found guilty, then. I was afraid as i just looked at it written on the official website. Please, God save our Suarez.

Same here mate, I have heard Saurez's side of it and by his own omission what he said. cultural differences and common sense need to be taken into play here, if he is called that by his own team mates and is an affectionate term used in his homeland then the F.A need to take this into consideration. Whereas Terry now, well there is no excuse for what he said. How they have advanced on the Saurez's case before Terry's is beyond me and if they do ban him etc then I wait with eagerness to see what Terry's punishment is before cementing my opinions on the F.A

Suarez charged by the FA with no real evidence!! England stand by John Terry and keep him as captain with video evidence of him racially abusing Anton Ferdinand!! Something tells me John Terry will get away with this because he is English... Luis Suarez: "I only called him what his own team-mates call him every day"...

How do you know there is no evidence?! Liverfool fans crack me up at times...

#ags 19

#ags 19....so LFC supporters crack you up and you think there actually is proof ?? If this was the case, surely the evidence would be in all the daily rags, as trust me they never miss a story. The only reason the FA are having to make the charges is because Patrice Evra will not drop his allegations, even though there is no proof. They have to act for this reason, even if they know there is no evidence.

Evra is a numpty, and needs to grow a pair

Tel 1949

#ags 19... Just like there was proof against Steve Finnan and the Chelsea groundsmen... Evra is the problem, the boy who cried wolf, he's a disgrace to every "professional" footballer... The truth will come out eventually cos Liverpool wont let this go either

@ Tel 1949

what do you mean Evra needs to grow a pair? Surely "a pair" of balls are quite sensitive? Have you ever been kicked in the balls? It bloody well hurts!! What evra needs to do is grow a vagina, they can take a proper pounding!!

16 Nov 2011 17:34:59
Luis has been charged by the F A ........ Lee YNWA

What, diving again?

So what happens now
Suarez is branded with the racism brush by evra as are so many people
Ban or fine?
Bean

But there is no confirmation that it's racial assault that he has been charged with. You need very good evidence to charge someone for that.

So what happens now will he be banned?

Red Raj

To the poster above who mentioned the racial element. The Sky Sports presenter said, "It is alleged that Suarez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United's Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules".

"It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra.

I have no idea what the severity of a ban/fine would be, IF OF COURSE, he is found guilty...Ed - any idea??

On the Liverpool site, it mentions that he will plead not guilty and appeal the decision.

We're all behind you Luis.

Lee YNWA(Ed, is this all standard procedure or have they got something to back this charge up, thoughts welcome?) {Ed001's Note - I really don't want to get into this at all, I can't really say much, but this is a case forced on the FA. They have to act, or at least be seen to be acting when a complaint is made.}

He hasn't been found guilty and I personally think he won't be.... the FA have to be seen to be doing something
And I am a UTD fan I think it will be unproven
Whereas Terry does have something to answer for as seen on film

Pardoe

Cheers Ed. Understood. Going for a few tonight, just wanted a clear understanding before the mouthy gobs**tes, that are my mates, start with the inevitable.."He's going to be banned, Barca will take him etc etc .. haha Lee YNWA

Ed, the only way that the FA can have charged Suarez is if there is someone else to corroborate what he is alleged to have said. I'm not aware that this was the case. Otherwise it's one person's word against another's.
Or there is something in Suarez's own evidence that they have taken offence to. As Sydney said on the U8d page, when they charge a player a guilty verdict usually follows.
The Real KB {Ed001's Note - only because this issue has never arisen, it usually gets swept under the carpet. Being such a high profile case at a time of a new Respect Campaign, the FA have no choice but to issue a charge. The question is now what will they do with Terry?}

What the hell is wrong with some fans on this site, they bitch and moan about our players Downing's crap,Henderson's crap,Coates is crap i mean C'Mon guys are main man Gerrard is injured and the rest of the guys are trying to Gel, Carrol has had to become part of the team instead of being the spearhead like he was for newcastle and has been injured but is getting better, even if we dont get 4th this season it wont be the end of the world...Have some faith guys for our team to be perfection it's gonna take some time and lay off the players slagging them off wont help their confidence come any quicker

Hello to you's all rangers fan here I was reading with interest that charlie adam was getting a bit of stick in our papers from some of your fans, this my friends does not surprise me in the least I was on your site a while ago telling you's the guy was a dud who when he comes up against a mobile centre mid is found wanting all the time & he plays world cup willie passes when the simple ball will do, I am not one 2 gloat but the reason I say this is because some1 on this page was trying 2 slaughter RANGERS for letting him go well the reason we let him go is he could not get anywhere near our first team in centre mid, this may surprise you's but at the time the boy kevin thompson at middlesbro was playing that position & is ten times the player charlie adam will ever be & we also have a player called jamie ness who will surpass anything adam will ever do, I am just gald king kenny payed 9million for fat boy as we had a 20% sell on clause, but anyway hope Gerrard back soon & you's pump the manks

Anyone else thinking CASTROL FOOTBALL RANKING is kind of crap, Was going through it when I found Luis Suraez ranked 400 something. Suarez has been doing brilliantly not only for LFC but on International stage for Uruguay. He was the most valuable player of last Coper America, scoring many goals for the national team. Why the hell he is not even in the top 20. Not only Suarez t the Sergio Aguero guy in top ten whereas Carlos Tevez one of the best players of EPL last season not even making it. On what basis do they arrange the players. I haven't got a clue of it. Either way some players are being left out by them only concentrated on certain players.

16 Nov 2011 15:11:17
Ed can u just answer this question as a neutral.
Who do u think is better?Kelly or Walker?
I see Kelly every week he plays and he is brilliant but Cappello seems to think Walker is amazing of whom i haven't seen much. Thanks {Ed002's Note - It is entirely subjective and in the eye of the beholder. As such, I cannot make such comparisons.}

Walker is the better attacking threat out wide, Kelly is a better defender. The media seem to think that right-back is the new problem position for England, but with the likes of Glen Johnson, Micah Richards, Kyle Walker and Martin Kelly who are playing at right back for their clubs and the versatile Phil Jones and Smalling, I really dont see where the problem is.

Attacking Walker - defending Kelly.
I prefer Kelly in the whole but Walker does added some pace which was lacking from the england side -McMenemy

Kelly is also fast and he scores

Richards is a better RB, than Kelly and Walker IMO. But Kelly is a better all round defender. He's even played LB for us on a few occasions. I've yet to see Richards or Walker play there.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

As a spurs fan I have to say you need to watch walker week in week out and not judge from motd highlights! his last ditch tackles and positional sense are excellent, his reading of play its getting better and better, less than 18 months ago he was with the england under 19's! I can't comment on kelly apart from motd highlights and
thats unfair to do so! but the villa and qpr fans consider
walker the best, as do we, as we stand id probably have him (kelly) as third best behind walker and richards

Kelly still needs to learn a few more tricks of the game. Walker needs to work on his defensive work. But i would rather have Walker as defensively we have strong CB's and if Baines is playing he is never caught too far forward, and if he is he has tracked back within 5seconds.

Kelly is a centre back and will be used in that position in the future

Though I'm a Liverpool fan, I think Walker is a better full-back

As spurs fan for England Richards should be rb with walker rm far better option than walcott iv watched a lot of games on lfc tv & origanally didnt think much of kelly but he's grown on me and can see theres potential there but he's nowhere near as.good as walker.but could b good cb relly like the look of Robinson could b worth a shot on left wong with downing on right. Think. Coady will be really good don't see it with wisdom or that kid on left wing that there all raving about bit of a sunshine boy Cruz looks good tho

Since somebody has mentioned Ola John at Twente I was wondering if the eds have heard any rumours about this guy. Having watched some Twente games to take a look at Luuk De Jong, Ola John has been the player in that team who caught my eye, a fast, tricky little winger with bags of energy. Anyone else seen him?

Pity the England squad wasn't put in a burning pot rather than pot 2. I for one will not be watching next summer's dreary show.

Just wish Steven Gerrard would hang up his International boots, which would allow him to extend his club career a little longer.

Pity i wasn't him because if i'd have been asked to play everywhere but my proper position for years to allow and accommodate blue, plastic flag waving, most over-rated footballer Lampard, who hasn't deserved a place for at least 3 years, i'd have told Capello & Co to shove it right up where the sun don't shine.

Gerrard and Scholes have been England's stand out midfield players for many a year. But have they ever played together? Nope both players have had to slot in somewhere else just so Fat Frank can play in his position.

My God, wouldn't pay him in washers. But long may Lampard continue to play and drag down Chelski for many a year to come. And Terry for that matter and Cole and Cech and Anelka and Drogba and Torres. So many fading lights. It cheers the soul.

At least Lampard and Terry will create a little bit of history for Chelsea. They need some. what that actually is i really don't know. Trying to think what Chelsea achieved before 2005...............i'll get back to you on that one.

Bob the scouse not english Red

You can have your opinion but I for one sont want to hear it Lampard was fantasic for England vs spain and scholes retired and had been asked on more then one occasion if he would come out of retirement but said no the last being the 2010 world cup England golden generation is now over but the boys coming through now look alot more promising

It's unbelievable that a Spain-Germany/England/Italy-Portugal-France group is actually possible... there is something seriously wrong with the seeding process at UEFA. Though having said that, pot 2 is probably right for England.

DP

The worse post i have ever read from bob the scouse,

Say what's on your mind pal, let it out!
I got bored half way through your post to be honest, just slagging Lampard off, what's the point? You obviously do care about the england team because you have very strong views about how they should operate. I reckon you will watch next year, but just sit in your pit, shouting pointlessly at the telly whilst eating doughnuts or crisps.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, there's mine.

Myk

Trust me BtS, you will be watching, as you're a football supporter at the end of the day!

Keith

Bob the Scouse, Great Post, Agree with you 100%. I watched my last England match years ago - I won't be watching
any olympic 'football' either.
RedAce

Possibly the worse poster i have ever seen, Lampard was one of the greatest players of this generation and maybe many to come, i don't understand people who called him 'fat frank' when obviously you werent fit enough and good enough to play football. Lampard has scored way more goals than Gerrard. Finally while Chelsea are making History, Liverpool are living in the past.

PR!

Your criticism of Lampard in my opinion is a little unfair. He is still a very good player who offers something the Liverpool midfield lack at the moment, a genuine goal threat. His goals record at all levels speaks for itself, and should not be sniffed at. He may not be as complete a player as Gerrard, but he is still a very good one.

It's not his fault that a succession of England managers hadn't got the balls to cut one of Scholes, Gerrard or Lampard out of the team or find a system which could incorporate them all.

I don't really care much for the England team, but will be watching theirs and all the other matches as a fan of football.

TO ALL FELLOW REDS.

And already seb coates isnt good enough according to some......why does our great club bother, really......the lads not even had half a season and hes too week and the manager knows it.......what load of B.S.

I dont wanna be funny to anyone on here but some people really need to get a grip, yes I get frustrated like most but you have to back the club as a whole now that its back on the level which includes big andy, coates, downing and the rest of the squad.

The old owners didnt care, Rafa was tryin his best but with two bosse's like that how would any of us fair in top flight football management.....not well, thats how. The guy made mistakes, but who doesnt, the players made mistakes but they all did there best (most of the players anyways) for us and the club and there manager back 09 season, 2nd in the league was no mean feat and i thought we did well. We should of built on that but didnt due to the onwers bein the weasles they are. Before anyone says i know rafa has some blame in it but anyone can see the love he has for the city and our club so no one can say he ment it to go the way it did.

As i was sayin, now we have good onwers who want to build and win silverware, an excellent manager who knows the club and what the fans want and need. A very good squad which needs a few tweaks here and there and we are gonna be awesome once again.

Come on lads lets get all this slagging players and negativity out the way and get behind our great club because in truth we need to play our part in all this for it to succeed.

matty b

Completely agree with the your post regarding Rafa, he really meant well and I love your optimism but in all honestly it needs more than a few tweaks. We're definately on a level with Carroll and Hendo but its not the level we need to compete where we should be. At the moment we do not have a squad that can contest for a top 2 spot and probably not a forceful squad for the group stages of CL. Spending as much as we have on Hendo, Carroll and Adam means they are going to be played whether we like it or not and that will be for the next couple of seasons at least. I love Kenny and Comolli but it will take quite a few dropped points by teams above us for us to climb up.

It has to be said that it's likely we aren't going anywhere higher than fourth in the next few years with the direction we are taking in signing mediocre talent just because they are british. City have announced themselves as a genuine force and spurs are certainly on par with us and maybe even a level above in terms of talent. I cant see Utd, chelsea or arsenal going anywhere and these clubs have a much greater appeal to talent.
So that leaves little old us fighting for the scraps when it comes to european places. We have to start realistically looking at funds we have recklessly splashed on utterly useless players just because they are home grown. Spending that much on Carroll was a waste, we all know it. 35 million buys a world class striker and we got Carroll. The mistake was made again with Henderson. Im not saying there is no quality in british talent but we just haven't been smart in the decisions to splash cash.
I dont see good times ahead for us to be honest and if any interest comes in for Suarez from spain then we are in big trouble. We need to fork out again for a world class striker to truly partner Suarez, in addition to a world class winger and CM to propel us right back up there because the slow route is going to last a lot longer than any of us want.
If we went for Honda when we should have and picked up Nasri or Young we wouldnt be looking so bad. Downing was a terrific signing, he has pace which is what we have lacked but our midfield is not looking too good without Stevie.
We might as well stop with all the Hazard talk because it is not going to happen, mark my words. Rafa really nailed us to turf in terms of lowering our colours and Hodgson hammered the nail in because now we are in a catch 22. We need a higher standard to get into Europe but we need Europe competition to attract a higher standard and without smart cash we wont be going anywhere.

OzRed

I stopped reading the rubbish at the point when it said "utterly useless squad"

You are a useless negative poster who needs to look up the word support. Liverpool FC doesn't need fans like you. We our known for being some of the best supporters in the world but fans like you let the club down.

TIZER RED.

Even if you were right on every point you make, what do you have to gain by rubbishing LFC to every other Liverpool fan? Sure you have a right to air your opinion, but to do it in a way that suggests you have no respect for LFC or it's players quite frankly p*sses me off. We have done well in 12 months to return from a near disasterous scenario, isn't that worth bearing in mind? As the saying goes ... 'with friends like you, who needs enemies'. Now exscuse me, I'm off to buy you a Man City shirt.

dd

Its always carroll fee forget it if we get top 4 with carroll on the bench kenny has done his job thats all that matters if we field a team that cost 25 million and have a bench worth 150 million aslong as we get points who cares pretend we paid 15 million for carroll and 20 for gerrard and carragher

Sorry if it sounded defeatist but its the truth. I know we need to be optimistic and I have been a liverpool supporter all my life. It just really pains me to see the level that we are at right now.
We seem to be settling into our top 6 battlers position a little too easily.
All I was saying is that we arent going anywhere soon on current trends. 35 million on one player means hes going to be played, at least so he can try and find form but our squad still lacks depth in all positions despite the money we have spent. It's not good, we have a long way to go before we have the depth of quality of a top side again. We need 2 or 3 high quality players to come in for us to be able to say we are back on track. It's the truth

In reply to the 5th post down.

We are on track, things don't just happen over night. We have a lot of promising talent and have got rid of of the dead wood. Look were we was this time last year. It even took city a few years to win a trophy, even with the spending power they have. This isn't football manager, its real life football. Kenny has done a fantastic job and needs to be given till the end of next season atleast. Slaging players off isn't being a supporter. If you support someone or something, you should be there for them. Carrol, Henderson, Coates are all very young promising players who were bought for 5 years not 1.

Get behind the team mate and show your support. Trust in the king and remember these things take time. Carrol, Henderson, Coates will all come good, trust me.

I'm fed up with all this Carroll and Henderson are crap business now and yes, I'd love to see us in the top 3, but we're not! I remember a certain striker at Arsenal, Thierry Henry, who took a while to get going and then look what happened, he became an Arsenal legend! I hope the same happens to Carroll, Henderson, Adam and Downing! Support the team and maybe, yes maybe they might start performing to the best of their ability and become legends for us one day! Trouble is, there are a lot of 'supporters' who think that as we spent money in the last two windows, top 2 is a God given right, well it's not and only hard work will get us there! That hard work comes from the players, management team and us the supporters and only then will we get success again! Sorry, rant over with!

Alright Ed mate, i was just wondering if you know about any moves in the premiership that might already be nailed on? Like Maiga to Newcastle perhaps?

If we were to try and get any more players from the prem, i would love us to try get adam johnson, he's class and not getting much game time atm. i would also like to see cahill join. lastly if we could get him cheap it might be worth going for junior hoilett. any chance of any of these happening

I think Coates is already a much better player than Cahill mate, he just needs to adjust to the Premiership.

As for Adam Johnson, i'd really like him, but a lot of people say his attitude stinks so it'd be pretty risky!

Stu.

Lets be honest how can you say coates is better than anyone that has played a couple of hundred gmes in the pl. He is struggling to adjust physically and the management know it. I hope he will come good but kk and the coaches thought he was a lot stronger than he is and thats a fact.

Have we bought another dud?

Is that why coates was passed over by citeh?

I totally disagree with your comment about stoke its teams like them that make the prem. Football is all about different styles and how you play against them and break them down. We should give teams like stoke more credit.

I would rather watch us play stoke rather than villarreal any day. Also how are fans going to keep on affording to travel abroad more than what they are doing now.

If a super league happens it will kill football. I would rather take 5 thousand to Blackburn or Wigan rather than 2 thousand to Panathinakos.

Alright mate. No, I'm in agreement with you actually. Was just a bit of banter at our poor record against a supposed "smaller" team.
But you have to admit, the place is a bit of a dump. I've never been to Villareal but at least you'd get a suntan.
The Real KB

Beautiful place, a city in the provence of Castellon, always sunshine and they do a reasonably good paella!

Trust me, I live in Stoke, you see the best bits going to the Britannia. Move away from there and it gets even worse! Makes the boarded up houses round Anfield look positively palatial!

can u guys please leave carroll alone. if we pay £35m that not his mistake? he was a rush buy as we running out time. so we pay a bit more money then the price. tottenham big £25m for him that he deserve. now we pay £35m so we judge him that way? he still young and liverpool a big team he may take time to adjust with us.

Hate to say it, but it feels like you are wasting your breath . the knives are out.

Carroll is not a TV there is only so much adjusting that can be done before you lose the picture

Hi my mates were out in manchester on saturday and bumped in to Aaron Lennon in a bar called sugar buddha. he even had a pic with him on his facebook profile. I wonder what hes doing up the nw ? i cant see any of the Manchester teams signing him as they already have people in his position {Ed001's Note - you know he is from the north don't you?}

...but I think you fell into a coma alright and in fact woke up a hundred years ago when you might TRY to get away with calling a man from Limerick , Ireland... 'British'. Not advisable mate.

Dara D

Apologies to all. All night i wondered what the hell you were going on about. I thought Finnan was from Northern Ireland and he clearly isn't. No idea how that thought came into my head. I never research anything, just from memory. As you get older the pathways in the brain start crumbling!

Bob the Red {Ed001's Note - this is what happens after you get your telegram from Queen Lizzie mate.}

Bob, was Elisha Scott as good as Ray Clemence mate ?
The Real KB {Ed001's Note - is it true Bob was Elisha's primary school teacher?}

I heard Bob was the Headmaster back then!

Adzii

No worries Bob, (though you might have dug the hole deeper with a number of people from Northern Ireland!) Anyway my response was not posted in anger , just pointing it out, and like i said I thought your post was really good .. apart from that... 'blip' shall we say.

Dara D

Lol ed. Bob was a Koppite when there was no roof on it !
The Real KB {Ed001's Note - I believe he is one of the founder members of our great club, he had just retired from playing at the time......}

Ok, Ok, Ok you ageist lot. Just because i was born in 1869, doesn't give you lot the opportunity to extract the mickey!!

Dara, thanks for pointing the error out though mate.

PS i was in the year below Ed001 :)

Bob the Red {Ed001's Note - you were held back a few years though......}

Even if he was from Northern Ireland, he still woudn't be British I believe... UK national.

Hi eds have seen some comments by the Barca president to extend the champions league and decrease the premiership. Also to play champions league games of a weekend. Is this just a case of moving nearer to a super league and a breakaway from fifa/uefa?

Mighty reds {Ed001's Note - yes.}

No more getting turned over at sh***y Stoke...?
Wahheyy !
The Real KB

How do you know? Liverpool might not be in it!

morning Eds

Any of you heard anything regarding the stadium the grapevine, It seems to have faded away into oblivion or are we concentrating on more important matters?

REDFORLIFE
{Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything yet, but I do expect something to happen this month, one way or the other.}

By 'something' do you mean in terms of new vs development decision or naming partner, or both? Cheers {Ed002's Note - Just a statement from the club.}

Thanks - be nice to see something that shows we are making progress rather than still waiting, tired of hearing that other clubs are

RE: for the last time people, Henderson is not a right sideed midfielder, he is a central midfielder, have you not seen him play foe England recently, he is real quality when played in his natural position, and to be honest it looks like he mite be the one to replace Gerrard as he is to injury prone as of late...

BigD

And jesus fernandez is a striker not a right midfielder ;)

And Gerrard has had one major injury in his career that resulted in a long absence.

When he comes back from that injury and he will he won't be injury prone and he won't need replacing.

Lighten up prohets of doom on Gerrard, its boring, wait till your out of work sick and you hear the stories of being replaced, tell me how good it feels?

How can some of you disagree with the fact that suso is a striker?

Theres this amazing thing called the internet that lets you research stuff so that you can post things that actually make sense and are actually factual!

www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/first-team/player/jesus-fernandez-saez

First Name Jesus
Surname Fernandez Saez
Squad Number 30
Position Striker

Where can we find this thing called "the internet" and how many days must we travel to reach it?

That's just the way the teams where set out, use your imagination. suso is cut from the same cloth as iniesta, not a striker.

Come sunday,you deluded liverpool will lose heavily to chelsea,terry would stop saurez,ramires,lampard and mikel will dominate the mid field,cech would be a rock and the best striker in the league torres would tear your defense apart.
In villas boas we trust

Ha!! Seriously! Yet another deluded Chavski supporter, Torres hasn't a chance we know him better than any other team in the league, if he scores it would be his fist miracle on the way to plastic sainthood. Good luck you're boys will need it.

Off the computer & downstairs please. Mum has your breakfast ready... Hurry up, or you'll be late for School.

dd

Torres couldn't tear a piece of paper apart never mind our defence. Terry couldn't stop his ouw mouth certainly wont stop Suarez! Chechen a rock, your having a laugh the only rock he comes close with is of the class a you boys like dabbling in

What ever helps you sleep at night mate

Best striker!! ahem ahem!

At least sign your post and i think u r the deluded one if you think john terry will stop suarez and torres is the best striker in the league .

What a great dream!
Red&Bred

Really..i hope u remember..what happened last time out..u had all these bunch of blue players..and still was counted on loosing side...its obvious..we are not gonna loose at bridge..a draw..or a win...Terry against Suarez...u kidding me???..he will rip teryys asses...ramierz, mikel, lampard...against gerrard, lucas, and adam...we will kill u at ur hometown....

Hi there unsigned Chelsea poster,

I want to keep this brief.. But, i think your living in 2008 (with a Torres Liverpool top on). The best striker in the league, wow i cant apear to find his name on the Ballon D'or shortlist... There is somebody who sounds like him on there and he cost half the price.. Oh wait, its that Suarez guy who John "i love to fall over whilst watching van Persie take the p*ss out of us" Terry will have in his pocket. Totally Get you.

I do however agree that Cech will be like a "rock" in the goal. He will imitate a boulder come Sunday as he will stand still and watch the ball fly into his net. I'm glad you can see that mr Unsigned Chelsea Poster.

Good luck for Sunday my freind, and stay classy.

Adzii

Cech was a solid rock back at the defense...
he was so rocked by the 5 goals against arse*** that he cant even moved!

Eds - If Moussa Sissoko is considered a good replacement for Gerrard and has been for sale since last summer, why aren't any other teams trying to get him? {Ed002's Note - Other teams have been interested in him.}

Gerrard does not need replacing.

What type of supporter are you - a very shallow one perhaps?

It has been said multiple times that Comolli sees Moussa as a long term replacement for Gerrard. Read other posts before making stupid accusations.

Henderson, Shelvey, Suso, Coady. 4 top quality lads coming through. why do we need to buy another to replace Gerrard in the long term. We can easily use these players in the coming years, for sure.

No one made any acusations your comprehension is poor

BTW is Commoli a good judge of players, is that why there is so much acrimony here then?

16 Nov 2011 01:48:17
hi eds
do you see any prospects of signing a brazilian player in jan or summer
cheers
pragyan

{Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say what will happen in the summer; for January it may be possible, but I think most unlikely.}

16 Nov 2011 03:33:53
i'd love to know(with our current transfer policy) why we never showed any interest in kjaer, santon, pjanic, bojan etc..

Call Comolli and ask him.

Well kjaer is rubbish how's that for starters

Kjaer was quality at Palermo. Since, then he hasn't been good enough. Coates is always a better option. Hope, coates will reach his best for us. YNWA {Ed001's Note - when was Kjaer quality at Palermo? I must have missed that match, only the Kjaer I saw was average, at best, which is why he ended up at Wolfsburg in the first place. He was scouted by just about every scout in Europe, nobody was impressed, Wolfsburg took a punt on him and it failed.}

Santon suffered badly with injuries and lack of playing time hence the Newcastle move...

16 Nov 2011 02:07:48
what's the chances of us signing lucas rodrigues?

16 Nov 2011 02:04:20
Hey everyone, I've been busy recently, and can anyone tell me how G.Johnson, Kelly and Downing performed in the internationals? I only know that Kelly scored in each match, congratulations to the lad. Thanks a lot.

Keith YNWA

I saw the 2nd half of the England game and Downing looked dangerous. Looked a lot quicker and much more direct from what I saw, running and defenders at pace and putting in some good deliveries. He also put in the cross for the England goal, so has an assist to his name. Hope he can bring that sort of form into the game vs Chelsea on Sunday.

is it just me or is ed002 always saying no we won't sign him or him or him so can you tell me any rumours that you(ed002) think will go through in january

***************************************
I think this comment was bit of adig against ed002, just maybe. I woild like to point out that perhaps it seems like ed002 is saying no to every name suggested is because of a number of reasons:
a. the club are now very tight lipped about interest
b. It is the January transfer window coming up, a notoriously difficult time to make a move for anyone.
c. the names being put in the hat are stupid, for instance, Torres!

Ed002 tells it how it is, simple.
There are many people on here who simply think of a good player being mentioned at the moment and put his name on here. Some do genuinely look at players and see potential, others are hooked on fifa or football manager.

If I was any of the eds I would be a lot more aggressive with my stance, due to the fact that id be getting bombarded by the questions, most of them repetitions of earlier questions, on an infinite cycle.

From what iv heard Luuk De Jong is a possibility, and id be happy with just that.
Villa rumours im not sure about, he is a big name and a good striker but £20M, and hes 31, really does not seemsto fit in with NESV development plan, and I dont buy the Messi and him at war theory.
Weve got a better squad now than we did last season, lets move forward with that.
I also believe we have sufficient cover for Gerrard, Henderson can slot in CM (his natural role), then weve got Adam, Lucas, Spearing, Jonjo could be recalled or Suso given an opportunity, there is also Coady as a defensive option.

Anfield Andy {Ed002's Note - Post of the day. Your hamper is en route.}

Anfield Andy wouldn't happen to be a family member, would he Ed002?

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96 {Ed002's Note - My first born.}

Anfield andy I have to say I disagree with most of what you said. 20m for villa would be a bargain in my eyes. Considering we paid 35m for an unproven striker. 20m on a proven goalscorer at the highest level doesn't seem too bad

What I said in relation to Villa is that he does not fit NESV's transfer policy. Although I say this, I would like to see Villa, but there are more secure younger options out there.

Anfield Andy
