If people used their footballing brain and watched higuain play they would know that he has been abysmal this season and hasn't played well at all, really don't want him in a deal.

Stop using fifa overalls and crude assumptions about players to judge them.

You don't become a bad player over one season AW. He is a natural finisher only 25 and has a wealth of experience. His record stands for itself and to be fair he was mainly a sub all year. Personally i'd take all day long.

Bulmer

Agree0 Disagree0

Woo! He scored 19 goals and was abysmal. I wonder what he'd be like if he had a good season!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't watch a ton of Real games, but does anyone know if Higuain ever plays to the left of central? If so, does he defend well and have a good work rate?

From what I've seen I wouldn't mind having him by any means as he's a class finisher, but not sure how well he plays in a non-central role and I would hate for us to push Sturridge wide.

Hi Eds, if I'm reading these rumours correctly (here and elsewhere, and if there's some truth in the rumours?) then surely its a no-brainer - sell Suarez for £25M + Shaqiri to Bayern (or £25M + Walcott to Arsenal) and use the £25M to buy Eriksen & Toby Alderweireld. Call me old fashioned but that looks like a great deal to me. We should take the bull by the horns and be proactive regards Suarez and not reactive, he's off, let's get over it, now how can we maximize his sale?
Thanks for your work with this site.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Arsenal will not be letting go of Walcott.

Hi Eds, do You see us puting a bid in for Shaqiri? Seems like a player BR would look at, young, very skillful with something to prove and we are in need of a quality winger. Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't see it happening, he would be expensive, he is on an extremely high salary and seems to be injured all the time.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What would you class as extremely high? I thought he would be on 50-60k a week. If he was bought I'm sure Downing would make way who would probably be on higher. {Ed002's Note - That is an easy one - "extremely high" was 1972 to 1978.}

why even consider letting arsenal buy saurez? arsenal rare our biggest rivals for the fourth spot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And your point is? Arsenal are going to buy someone and whoever it is is likely to score a lot of goals and probably with less shots than Suarez. Oh, and they would be available to play day 1, Suarez won't.

The game changed maybe 10, maybe 15 years ago. As soon as the silly money came along and the influence of the agents increased, loyalty (for the most part) went out of the window. This, coupled with the influx of cheaper (albeit technically better) foreign players meant that the concept of most players staying at one club for more than 5 years became uncommon. Of course, we have two recent and brilliant exceptions. Agents will encourage their 'meal tickets' to chase the dollar, it lines their pockets and takes into consideration a short playing career vs most employment. Most full-time footballers are not rolling in it, so a move or two does help.

That being said, players come and go, in my memory, Keegan, Kenny, Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres all came, were loved and then went. We move on, we adapt, we will find new idols, they may already be here. One thing is for sure, we will support all those that don that famous red shirt. I like the team building that is work in progress. Logically, the approach of buying young talent is what we can afford to do. We have to be pragmatic and work within the financial constraints we currently have.

I believe that in time (maybe not this year) we will have the strength in depth, the competition for places, the desire and the quality to be up there. It's not always about having the best 11 players in the world on the pitch, it's about having the teamwork, the philosophy and the pride in the badge. It's about the team. I like what I see, our footy is increasingly, 'easy on the eye'.

Bottom line, let's not worry too much about Suarez, we adapt we move on. today's newspapers. tomorrows chip wrappers.

Hello guys,

People are saying that we won't be buying another striker and that Aspas is Luis replacement, however i'm slightly confused about this. Luis will more than likely leave, leaving us with Borini, Aspas and Sturrige, who is Andy Carroll's replacement? Most of the top teams have four strikers, whereas we will have three. Will Suarez actually be replaced or do you think BR sees three strikers as adequate? Sturridge and Suarez both seemed to get enough games when both were fit and Luis wasn't suspended. Plus this makes me worry a little as Borini and Sturridge have had terrible luck with injuries. Is it to do with us not being in Europe and so we are not burdened with strikers burning out?

Also feel like we could do with some more experience in our attacking options. Sturridge and Borini are quite young, as well as Sterling, Ibe and Assaidi. Aspas has no prem experience and Downing could be on his way out.

I'm a little confused, am I being thick and missing something? I thought, whilst we adopted our 4-3-3 formation for most of the season, a 4-4-2 worked well at times.

Thanks guys

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Aspas is Suarez replacement then it's time to give up on Rodgers and FSG. Ambition is what this club needs more than anything right now and hopefully that's what we will in terms of investment should Luis be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bear in mind that after the initial attempts of 4-3-3 didn't work as well as expected (as well as the squad trying to get used to the new style) in the latter part of the season we actually tended to play 4-2-3-1, the switch to this also coincided with the arrival of Coutinho and Sturridge. If BR is to keep with that formation then we have 3 players fighting for 1 slot in the team, squads that have 4 forwards generally play 2 in a match, but due to tge fact we are eeffectively playing 2 CDMs and 3 ACMs it makes sense that we're not "replacing" like for like.

Agree0 Disagree0

The way I see it is BR wants a more fluid attack where you have 3 creative and goal getting midfielders with 1 striker, then a deep lying mid and a ball playing mid almost like a front four with pace and technically good. A bit like barca used to play when Samuel eto was there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sturridge was Carrols replacement. We are up a few million, all good.

Agree0 Disagree0

442 is for chumps

We play a 4213 and require 1 striker, therefore instead of 4 strikers like the 442 United or 4222 City we can get away with 3.

Spurs only had 2 last season if you remember.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've also got Yesil and Morgan (for the moment) on the books. So that's 5. In the unlikely event that Sturridge, Borini, and Aspas are all unavailable, then maybe Yesil gets a game. If they're all out of the loop somehow, I'm pretty sure Coutinho and Alberto could play there in a pinch as well. How much depth do you think we need for 1 position?

Agree0 Disagree0

Also i'd try raheem sterling up top, if push came to shove, think he'd make a great striker

If suarez leaves (which is bound to happen) who can we realistically expect to get as a replacement? I am happy for him to go to a club on the continent, but the important thing is to get as much as we can for him and use a large portion of that to buy a quality replacement. I just fear we no longer have the gravitas to attract a quality striker. Sad sad times.!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If he was really leaving, Don't you think we would have made an offer for Mkitaryan. Think about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we sell him to Chelsea and get Lukaku on loan. If he can score 17 for West Brom seems like a low risk move or us and one that could be attractive to Chelsea. Buys us another season to bring Borini and Yesil on and allow Aspas and Alberto to settle. Wouldn't be averse to Bertrand as part of any deal with Chelsea seemingly wanting Luke Shaw as Coles long term replacement. I think we need players with PL experience as well as talented imports.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should spend the Suarez money on Eriksen Shakiri and Bernard. But we won't. There's still top quality players out there who would jump at a chance to play for Liverpool we just need to show some balls and attempt to sign one or two

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sell Suarez and replace him with Bernard and Lukaku, I'd be made up

Not really related to Liverpool since he won't be joining but many people are saying wages are a stumbling block for higuain, they are not. He is not a top earner at Madrid and has never been too focused on money when negotiating new contracts, playing time has been his focus and to my knowledge still is.

Secondly he's a Everton through and through, which adding he hates our club and thirdly, he's not even that good! I can carry on giving reasons why we wouldn't/shouldn't go for him but I don't have the time.

To cut it down a bit all this talk of losing Suarez on 120k a month so let's give it to higaun, that contradicts what we've been doing for last few years in cutting wage bill and also think bringing someone in whose unproven in premier league and making them one of our highest paid players is hypocritical, everyone complaining about Suarez and loyalty, that shows no loyalty to the players who have been loyal servants to the club, Agger, Lucas, Reina to a degree, even Sterling had plenty of good options before signing his first adult contract with us, we can't afford to put everyone we sign on stupid wages, we're getting away from that now, so like everyone else, prove yourself first and earn a better deal, I'm not saying we will even be interested in him but anyone we look to sign now has to be our way or why, as a loyal player would you want to stay in twelve months when you've proven yourself and unproven players are coming in oboe money than you, that is when we start losing not just the mercenaries but our loyal contingency too

United will not accept bids from us (and other teams will bid, so they won't have to) and Rooney himself almost certainly wouldn't be interested. So it's a non-starter.

I question Rooney's consistency, his fitness & think he's never reached the level that was expected of him. That being said, anyone who thinks he wouldn't start most games for us if by some miracle he arrived is kidding themselves - because he probably would. But I'm not losing sleep over the fact that he won't come here either. {Ed001's Note - why would anyone want a piece of turd that deliberately sold his life story to the S*n in order to upset people in the city of Liverpool? I seriously worry about anyone stupid and pathetic enough to want that fat lump of dog muck anywhere near this club!}

Agree0 Disagree0

The most overrated player ever. Has a massively inflated idea of his own worth and ability, thinks he has it all so makes little effort. Let arsenal or Chelsea spunk their money on him, we definitely don't need, or want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather sign Taarabt

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice foot comments lads!

And Rooney is an absolute non-runner he'd be expensive both in fees and wages (wages actually are about double our highest earners!), Utd wouldn't sell us their 2nd best LB who wasn't even that great, he hates us, apart from you we all hate him, he has serious attitude problems and seems to lose interest in soccer every now and again (he hasn't reached his potential and he's like 27 now), he done well at times last season but really over the last 2-3 season's his form and weight have both fluctuated. Is that enough reasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney, I'd rather Bentner. and before him I'd prefer Carroll back

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney's a top player, still fairly young and I for one would love to see him in a Liverpool shirt. The only thing''overrated''with regards to Rooney are certain individuals opinions on him! Uglygeordiegenius {Ed001's Note - what is top about him? He has lost his pace, he is overweight, he is rash, poor touch, his passing is poor, he has no positional sense at all and is a piece of *censored*. You have no morals if you would want someone in who deliberately disrespected the 96 as an attempt to hit back at people when he left Everton.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney is overpaid overweight and he is a manc blue, improve our squad in what way is what i'm thinking, I hope he stays at utd and causes moyes a load of grief and drains them of 1 million a month and after two years of that leaves for nothing . I would never want to see that player in a Liverpool shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you play for a team you hated for half the wages you're currently getting paid?

Agree0 Disagree0

No positional sense, poor touch? Ed001 your either 8 years old or, and I think is more likely the case, have recently had a lobotomy! Uglygeordiegenius {Ed001's Note - nope, I just watch him play and am not stupid enough to listen to the media masturbating into a frenzy over every dross England player. Obviously genius doesn't extend to your knowledge of football, because running around like a headless chicken leads to a player being out of position constantly. I am sure you would notice that if you weren't too busy lapping up the bull about the fat tit being a 'world class' player. As for lobotomy, I would rather have that than the lack of morals that would be needed to want Shrek in a Liverpool shirt. So please grow up and don't jump to insults because you clearly have not got any evidence to back up your opposing opinion.}

Agree0 Disagree0

200k a week wages and no CL that's why LFC can't even think about signing Rooney I'm sure they would if they had Champions League football and a very very rich owner!

Just a though Chelsea have spent over £94m on Torres (Transfer, Agent Fees and Wages) so IMO they are the only English team that will and can afford Rooney who will cost over £80m in fees and wages!

Mental this premier league of ours!

Eds,

I know a lot of people in here mentions "cheeky bid". How much really is "cheeky bid"?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ask comolli, his tactics where to place a cheeky low bid followed by a stupidly large one, usually for the wrong type of player.

MIKEY

Agree0 Disagree0

My favourite 'cheeky bid' was 'Arry at Spurs bidding £1.5m for Phil Neville on transfer deadline day a few years ago. Moyes was so p*ssed off, and I love seeing him throw a hissy fit in interviews.

A "cheeky bid" is offering 3 million less than what Everton offers and a signed picture of Ian Ayre on his Harley.

16 Jul 2013 22:07:58
IIRC, Tomkins interviewed Rafa in 2009 and Rafa mentioned that a couple of youth players had bad agents/advisors around them who were ruining them. It was suggested by people "itk" that Pacheco was one of the players Rafa was talking about.

Either way, he's been here for years, under 4 different managers, had three (or four?) loan spells at clubs, and only impressed in one of them. And he has how many competitive starts at Liverpool to show for all that? One?

For whatever reason, it's safe to assume he's not reached the level that was expected of him. It's a pity, because he looked like he had so much potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 19:45:22
Hmm reading various sites and news papers, I believe these to be the options people are talking about.

Suarez to Bayern for 20m + Shaqiri
No thanks

Suarez to Real for Higuain and 15m
No thanks

Suarez to Arsenal for 35m
No thanks

Suarez to stay at Liverpool
No thanks

Damn this guy has become an annoyance. And what is with all the piss poor offers?! Arsenal are the only club bidding near to what most Liverpool fans want for him and I would rather see him go to Everton than them.

I know we're not exactly the best club at haggling over prices but come on. Might aswell swap him for a tic tac and some pocket lint and be done with it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would give my left ear if we got Shaqiri and 20 mil for Suarez. Sory Eds ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

How about Ibrahimovic leaves PSG after getting p*ssy over Cavani arriving, we play hardball with them and:

Suarez to PSG for 55m

Just be patient, someone will jump in and overpay.

Ed002 has repeatedly cast doubt on our ability to extract anywhere near the value most people on here place on Suarez. He is damaged goods. Ask a fan of another club if they think we will get 45-50m and they'll laugh. It'll be 35m down tops and hopefully people will blame LS rather than Ian Ayre for that price. I'd remind people that 35m is actually a lot of money.

Ahoy - the question regarding Mr X Alonso is would he have three and a half awful seasons, play great for 12 months (miss a penalty in the CL final) and then insist on shooting from the half way line in every game?

Very good player, but a huge step backwards with hazy memories clouding many peoples judgement.

BOILED ONIONS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think mister boiled onions is the one with a clouded memory Alonso is still one of the best passers of the ball and scored a lot of important goals from midfield as for the champions league final he did not miss a penalty he scored it

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, why would we want a world class footballer who's a regular for both Spain and real Madrid.

Agree0 Disagree0

What juice you drink pal? Can I have some please?

Even at his age and surrounded by superstars, Xabi is the one that makes Real tick. Even Mourinho understood that. You plank! LOL!

Red till I die

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of important goals? You may want to check that statistic. A couple of important goals yes. He's scored about 3 goals for RM and I think 14 for Liverpool? Quality passer but too slow and too long ball minded for what we're trying to impose upon the team in my unprofessional opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

He did miss it but he scored the rebound

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he had 3 and a half awful seasons. He gradually improved every season into the player that we eventually sold to Real. IMO he's even better than before and matured a bit. Hardly anyone notices how vital he is to Real. He wouldn't be a huge step back if we did get him (which I doubt) because we need quality cover around that area of the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahoy - not denying he is world class, a Spanish regular etc etc, just didn't rate him I'm afraid and wouldn't welcome his return money can be spent elsewhere for long term gains not short term fixes, however I can't fault his attitude as he regularly attends Anfield games and has never said one derogatory word about the club.

Still missed a penalty in the CL final though.

BOILED ONIONS

Agree0 Disagree0

I seem to remember he scored the rebound from that penalty in the champs league final.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't listen to a word anyone says who's called boiled onions. Gerrard aside he's light years better than our entire midfield. Oh he missed a penalty, I admire the tremoundous amount of cool and composure with the follow up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fools. the fella could play a pass to gerard whilst gerard was on a run and torres, none of this stationary passes. he's tight control and passing was excellent . u see how hard it is for henderson allen and lucas to play early incisive passing (forward)
5 gold stars

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahoy - SG is 5 years older, Torres is at Chelsea and we don't have Didi or Mascherano to do the anchoring job and all of Alonso's tackling.

He is a very very good footballer, but not what we need.

BOILED ONIONS

Can't believe I just read this tosh!
Boiled onions?
When you had your herbal tea this afternoon, did you forget the tea part?
Even when Alonso played poorly he still played better than Allen or Lucas on a good day.
And I like those two.
I'll never forget the derby when Gerrard was sent off after 18 minutes.
Alonso and Sissoko were incredible in that game.
Especially Xabi, he covered every blade of grass on the pitch.
Boiled onions?

With Suarez at first I was annoyed, if he wanted to leave that's fine but we have put up with a lot of his rubbish and been loyal to him so with him mouthing off on t.v and radio really made me hate him.

But now i'm just bored, every day its some story, some offer, some Suarez interview. If I never hear of Suarez after this is done i'll be happy and i'm sure the ed's and Ian Ayre won't complain either.

Then who are the two or three marquee signings BR was talking about?
I still can't quite believe we (apparently) haven't moved heaven and hell to get Papadopolus. Yes I have seen him play. He's an absolute monster!

Killingholme_Clay

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's quite simple. We have a list of players that unit our style for EVERY position. Crucially, and this may be hard to understand, we also have a valuation or each. If someone wants silly money we walk away and move to another footballer we think would suit our style. This way we don't get sucked in to overpaying. With Papa there are fitness issues. Would be crazy to pay more than we think he's worth with doubts to boot.

Kidder

Agree0 Disagree0

He's had a bad injury and they are asking too much for him. Sturridge would have been overpriced at 18 million considering his injury record.12 million for Pap that's all I would pay mate. Monster or not

Agree0 Disagree0

A monster with an injury is still just a bench warmer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kidder: Not so 'difficult to understand' when you consider Agger's injury problems and the class defender he has become.
I also understand the word 'budget' and 'target' as well as the slightly longer word, 'alternative'.
None of us have any idea of the severity of the injury nor indeed more importantly, of the short and long term prognosis.
You say "It's quite simple". Maybe for you. But these situations are never as cut & dried for those who don't think they know better and are able to look beyond a headline.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the sale of a player in a position affects the sales price of another player in the same position. Ex- if Falcao and Cavani are sold for 50+m does that than help the case for Suarez to be 50+m?

Do clubs consider this, or do they pay what they think he is worth, period?

Sorry to ask a basic question. Thanks {Ed002's Note - It makes no difference.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

he would be a really good upgrade on shelvey and would therefor improve competition in the middle.

he would also be a good backup to coutinho.

if our lw in injured then coutinho switch out wide with eriksen stepping in. meaning we wouldn't have sacrifice our creative influence by playing henderson or allen in advanced roles.

Squad that has gone on the LFC Tour 2013 (28 players in total, only 25 can be registered as EPL players + home grown players.

Reina (likely to leave)
Mignolet
Jones
Johnson
Enrique
Toure
Agger (possible to leave)
Alberto
Gerrard
Aspas
Coutinho
Assaidi (likely to leave)
Pacheco (likely to leave)
Henderson
Downing
Spearing (likely to leave)
Lucas
Allen
Borini
Sterling
Kelly
Skrtel
Flanagan (possible loan)
Wisdom
Robinson
Ibe
Suarez (possible to leave)
Coates (likely to leave)

So 5 players still likely to leave and 3 possible to leave. Meaning we will have 20 players in the squad.

IMO if these players leave we will sign 3 more players a defender (Ilori), an attacking midfielder and a striker / attacker (if Suarez leaves).

23 players in the squad is about ok.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pacheco hasn't travelled mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

You also don't have sturridge who should be fit to start the season

Agree0 Disagree0

All player 23 or under at the start of the season don't have to be registered on the squad list so Kelly, Wisdom, Ibe, Sterling, Robinson, Allen, Borini, Luis Alberto, and Coutinho don't have to be put on the squad list.
If a player turns 24 in November say, then at the end of January he must be included in the squad list.
But premier league rules dictate that each club must have at least 6 home grown players in their squads, these can be English, Welsh or player from abroad living here for 5 years, coming through the academy system. this is why the likes of Henderson, Allen and
(as an example) Pacheco get included while Coutinho wouldn't.
So removing the younger players and some of the more obvious players leaving(Flanagan, Spearing, Coates, Assaidi and Suarez)we should see a smaller squad than originally thought beefed up by young players.

Kieran

Agree0 Disagree0

Kieran, just about everything you have said is wrong . The rules are on the Premier League website, please read them .

Agree0 Disagree0

These are the position that needs to be filled currently without anyone being sold

- lb(competition for enrique). cm/am(to replace shelvey)
Aly Cissokho & Eriksen will do

- spearing might be replaced internally by Coady (short term) so not sure if he will be replaced
- and pacheco has basically been replaced by Alberto already and there is also Ibe.

- if reina, agger or skrtel, coates, assaidi leave they all will be replaced, otherwise we would be weakening the squad.
gk, cb(1st choice), cb(squad), winger(squad)
Rui Patricio, Sakho or Alderweireld, Tiago Ilori, Nacer Chadli.

- if suarez leaves then he will likely be replaced by 2 players.
st. Alessandro Marti seems to be the latest striker linked. would be a good move as he offers something different to Sturridge. and will provide a good 13-15 goals a season as will Aspas.
lw. Bernard would really make up for missing out on Mkhitaryan (our star signing if you will)

and if downing leaves which seems unlikely as he is sticking his heals in the ground.
rw. Shaqiri would do nicely!

if you think it is impossible price wise then think again. basically it all hangs on the sale of Suarez.

£85m from player sales
and the players coming in would cost £95.5m-£100m

overall net spending would be not more than £20m if you include the sales and purchases that has already taken place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kieran the age is 21 and I think the date is September 1st

so sterling, alberto, wisdom, flanagan, ward, ibe etc.does not have to be included in the squad list.

Coutinho 21, henderson 23, kelly 23, borini 22 all have to be included in the squad list.

Higuain not an option for LFC due to wage demands a player such as yilmaz would not command massive wages which would suit lfc.

from former player.

The viking

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If they're replacing suarez then don't see why wage would be a problem sarez is on like 120 k a week

Agree0 Disagree0

Losing Suarez would open up a £120K/week-sized hole in the wage budget. I'm sure with that we could negotiate Higuain's wages. The bigger problem would likely be Higuain not wanting to come to Liverpool, or Liverpool not wanting Higuain

Agree0 Disagree0

Tancredi said wages would not be a problem and given that we saved a lot of wages already it shouldn't like I said. I still think Liverpool want cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Juicer posted a while back that Tony Evans, of The Times had said that FSG wanted to get abut 1/2 a million a week off the wage bill, (understandable if it's true we're losing £1m a week), so I can't see them replacing Suarez with another really high earner if he goes, (Higuain etc.), but equally I would imagine the profile Yilmaz is carrying at the moment he wouldn't exactly be asking to be paid in peanuts either. One of the reasons we're looking at mostly younger lower profile players at present I imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Top 4 wages but nowhere near top 4. That's our problem. Perhaps some high earners need to be moved on.

No ways they are going to win any title this season . probably a CUP which is a possiblity for any side.

Arsenal would only play Group stage and would be doing that for years, with fellaini and suarez, they won't even pass the group stages.

I just think a midfield of Alonso, Lucas and Gerrard would give all the attributes we need in the middle of the park, and give us the strongest midfield in the league. Remember, games are won (and lost) in midfield}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 15:47:52
Our problem last season wasn't the midfield, it was converting chances.
Suarez may have scored a hatful of goals, but it was from a few bucketloads of shots
shelvey and sterling were responsible for a few missed sitters at the beginning of last season too (more shelvey, but still)
Borini seems to have a thing for hitting woodwork at this stage of his career
Add this to the fact that we only ever seem to play against decent keepers when on their very best form, and you have the reason for a fair few of our dropped points last season
The times we struggled in midfield were usually when Lucas was missing, which tells me that instead of concentrating on a player that, whilst we all love, we. don't really need, we either need to find back-up, or my preferred option,, begin to convert Henderson into that type of player.
Don't know what anyone else thinks of that?

Hey eds,
just read that real Madrid could come back with a 10m offer plus higuain for suarez, but then read that if this offer was made, Liverpool would probably reject and hold out for 40m in cash? I doubted higuain would want a move to Liverpool, especially with the likes of arsenal, in the champions league, holding a serious interest, but if he did have an interest in joining Liverpool, would it be wise for us to reject this offer? surely Liverpool should take the assurance of suarez being replaced by a well known quality striker, instead of hoping that the likes of benteke/Muriel would want to join? I know BR might have other players he wants to buy with the money, but surely if suarez leaves, another quality striker will be brought in as replacement?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally, although I rate the player (who doesn't?) I can't see him wanting the move. On top of that, I don't think he's the right man for the system we want to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's because we want a strong squad not 2 good strikers there's no need. Sturridge is better than hig, (when fit) Liverpool are in a great position right now if we don't get 40m then Suarez will stay an hopefully score another 30 goals! If he goes then we'll have 40m+ to spend a some good players we already know we have 25m to spend without selling him. It's a win win for us

1. It cost 4.99 for a months subscription to get all 6 games, money that will go to the club. Its not much but every little helps (so tesco say)

2. I would spend more than that in the pub in a couple of hours just to watch 1 game never mind having to go there for all 6 games

3. I don't subscribe to ESPN, would cost me a tenner for the month to see the games so again more than I paid lfctv

Although I would personally prefer full amount of cash for suarez (or possibly alonso plus cash) i'm curious that so many people keep saying that we shouldn't take higuain as part of a deal because he wouldn't fit in the system yet I hardly see anyone complaining about us being linked to benteke (I don't really see benteke being able to play too many other positions than CF just like Higuain). Don't get me wrong i'm not saying I want either player or even that we shouldn't be interested in Benteke, at the end of the day the decision is down to BR what players he wants and positions he wants to fill but if he were considering either of these payers I think I would be happier with a proven player who has scored 107 goals in 187 games at one of the best clubs in the world over someone who has had one good season at a mid table team, remind anyone of andy carroll? It didn't show passion, or commitment, it showed someone who lost his cool and actually sunk his teeth into another fellow professional. Another professional who was just doing his job, and in the process was attacked. It's uncalled for. Suarez IS a hard working player, but his work ethic does not filter into that particular act of violence (which is what it was).

Have Liverpool made any inquiries recently on players discussed regularly or not mentioned much or at all so far? I've got a feeling we are working on 1 or 2 targets that will be very pleasing and possibly be close to the "marquee" signing some people pipe on about. If so if any of the eds have some detail on it would be very much appreciated. Again though I know if there is updates you let us know but I'm just keen to see a player sign that will give us another boost going into what looks like a very interesting season with so many changes.

Hi Eds
After reading some of the rumours today of Real Madrid & Bayern Munich wanting to do player us cash deals for Suarez, if these reports are true, why would we not be jumping at this?, I'd rather have proven players in than money to be honest, Bayern are offering £25million plus Shaqiri, if rumours are to believed, I'd rather have just £10-15million plus Shaqiri & Robben, if Real Madrid are thinking about throwing Higiuan in the deal then add Alonso or Di Maria us £10-15million & that would be great business. The player doesn't want to be here, surely its best to get in replacements & boost the squad than to have money sitting in the bank, its a big window for us this summer let's use Suarez situation to our advantage to sign some top names. {Ed002's Note - Are you involved in some fantasy football game?}

Few bits of info ed's.

First is purely from twitter that we have bid for Alberto Moreno. 21 yr old right back from Seville.

ok, now the latest I've been told. Spearing as we know has turned down Blackburn. Bolton looking most likely but don't rule out Wigan.especially if James McCarthy leaves for Everton. Sunderland as I've said before don't seem to be pushing after early interest.

Ince is still a definite no from what I'm told despite pulling the plug on his Cardiff move.

And my north east contact still maintains that downing is still interesting Sunderland although West Ham are also tracking him.

Also, Adam Morgan looks highly likely to be playing championship football next season in a loan deal although permanent deal not out of the question of an acceptable offer was made. Up to 3 clubs have enquired as to the players availability thus far

With Cavani off to PSG would Liverpool now be seriously looking at Kevin Gamerio. I know we have looked at him before and that clubs from Russia and Spain are interested, but "when" Suarez leaves surely spending £6-7m on him would be better than spending £22-28m on Benteke, especially seeing as Gamerio is more clinical in front of goal and has better assist rates, passing rates and a better work ethic than Benteke and he is looking to leave PSG.

Right time to get serious boys and girls, my mighty LFC do not have to buy mr XYZ to win the world cup. Yes we need good players, hold on we already have! Why not trust the Manager to gel the team he has with maybe one or 2 additions who fit in not some hooray Henry big time charlie who believes he is better than what he!

We can finish I believe top 4 with or without the small parasite (Suarez), it is ok having a 40 million pound clause in your contract but that is worthless when we value him at 50M, so either offer us 50M or look elsewhere for a world class player. He is contracted to us and may sulk for a while but tough the club and heritage is more important than cashing in low on a clown with no loyalty.

We are LFC I am excited with the future (always) am and believe we are on our way back, let's forget about the hooray Henry's and look at people who want to play for the shirt (Gerrard) and sweat blood for the cause.

"Its not the size of the dog in a fight but the size of the fight in the dog"

If you don't believe and want to waste billions support Man City or Chelsea! If we fail trying I am on board and still wear the same colours

Believable0 Unbelievable0

‘We can finish top four’ - are you having a laugh? You need to buy top class players to finish in the top four, we have bought average players.

You talk off hooray henrys yet we have players who love the club being sold, Shelvey, Spearing, Skyrtel etc. Where's the fans loyalty then, its all one way.

Fans are acting pathetic over Luis saying he isn't loyal blah blah, then I see the same people saying sell Skyrtel or whoever they are rubbish. Hypocrisy at its worst.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you Steve lad, and to the first unnamed poster.

United won the league last year with very average players. Arsenal always qualify for top 4 and they are very average players.

Quality management, Stability, Longevity and a team ethic are the key ingredients. We have some great players at Liverpool now. Top 4 is never a given but very achievable. I think this season if our experienced players perform to the level they can we have no worries.

If he does get sold to a rival PL club then we should not be unhappy. Let's face it - we'll be getting a substantial amount of money for a player that can't play the first 6 games of the season. Plus he will undoubtedly get another ban and will probably sit out at least another 3 games. Furthermore, he will damage that teams reputation and will leave them the moment RM come knocking - probably at far less money than we get for him.
Don't misunderstand me - I think he is an astonishing player with real hunger (sadly for other players too) but life will go on.

hai Ed. great work. and Big thumps Up.

Most people here are screaming for Alonso and Higuain in the deal.

But how and where does Higuain fit in our system?.
we will be playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation with only one target man and rest as suppliers.
BR sees Sturridge as the CF.
Higuain won't come to us to compete against sturridge, which he is being doing since years at Madrid.
we don't need a 20 mill superstar in our bench, reality, we can't afford.

What we need is either a LW/RW attacker like shakiri, or mertens, tello, pedro or an ACM (like Mickey (obviously gone)
One of the front three would be occuppied by Asaps and Borini and the other would be either countinho and another attacker.

What happens If alonoso come to us.
Alonso would sit with lucas in the middle, releasing gerrard up further and countinho on the wings. which would be deadly if gerrard finds his form.
But that would see the end of 18 mil Allen in our team, because Alonso would play 3 years easily like Pirlo.

henderson would survive because he might compete with gerarrd for the ACM.
I don't think Hendo would play as CM for Liverpool FC for the time being, since its a very important position which dictates the game, and either gerrard or someone with his calibre need to sit in the middle to get those killer passes.

Joe allen would warm the bench if Alonso comes to us.

What we need.
straight cash 40 mill.
A CB in Papa 18 mill
An ACM or an Attacking Winger 20 mill.
Llori would come anyways of coates departure.
If skertel is sold, we would bring a LB, because Enrique sometimes is awful

Done that's our transfer window shuts {Ed052's Note - I don't see where the Hig would fit, but think Alonso would fit in very well}

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 12:55:31
I don't often say this to Harry, but here goes; g-g-g-good p-p-p-post. That was harder than I thought!

You make a few good points. Higuain is not the right player for us as it will force Sturridge out, and I beleive Sturridge offers more due to his pace a power. Higuain is a great poacher, and would be a better back-up/impact sub than Borini, but would he really move to do that? People are very quick to rule out Yesil and Morgan. I personally don't rate Morgan, although others do, and I highly regard Yesil as the best U20's striker in England. Sturridge, Borini and Yesil are more than enough options, especially when you consider that Aspas can cover there if needed and Alberto can play as a false 9.

Whilst, I think a midfield with Alonso and Lucas would be great with a player like Hendo or Allen doing the pressing and most of the running, I cannot see Gerrard doing that anymore. Alonso would be a rotational player in my opinion with 2 of; Lucas, Gerrard and Alonso sitting in midfield and either Henderson/Allen (against teams we need to dominate) in front to press the opposition, or Coutinho against lesser opposition we can take apart more easily. This could be great as it will allow Gerrard and Alonso to prolong their careers, give us two massively experienced players in the midfield, and prevent Hendo, Allen and Coutinho burning out. Allen and Hendo can both also play the sitting roles if needed, as Gerrard and Lucas have suspect injury records.

Aspas for me will compete with Downing for the right wing spot. Sterling/Ibe will compete with a new signing for the left wing spot. I think this new signing could be either Ince or Dzuduszak as we were after them in January, but of course, Shaquiri would be a dream signing. Alberto will likely be a utility player who will fill holes in the match day squad, due to his ability to play anywhere except a defensive role.

In short, I'd love to see us sign Alonso, Shaquiri/Ince and Ilori. As an added bonus, if we could land a young left back (eg Moreno) I'd be pleased, although Johnson can cover if needed. I hope we hold on to Skrtel and Agger, but should either leave, they will need replacing (Skrtel with a brute eg Papadopoulos, or Agger with a technical defender eg Alderweireld).

I expect we'll see Spearing, Pacheco, Assasidi, Coates, Suarez and Reina move on regardless. Reina in my opinion, will nor settle for a Friedel/Lloris partnership where he shares game time with Mingolet. Expect more loans for younger prosepects. Ngoo and Suso have already gone out for the season, and I would not be suprised to see Morgan, Robinson, Coady and Flanagan join them, maybe Sama as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 13:07:54
Sturridge would not be moving to RW, I suspect,
BR sees him as the perfect Finisher.
BR needs player like countinho and suarez who have pretty good dribbling skills and pace to link up and provide him with the assist.
And that's where ability of players like suarez comes to pic.
Higuain is typical Cf, like huntelar, falcao, cavani, lewondaski, torres, aguero, Benzema etc.
what he needs is player like rooney, who can score 15 goals and assist another 10-15 goals,
Micky was the best choice. an absolute choice which we missed.
Gotze, reus, silva, Mata.

I am still guessing whose that mystry ACM or Winger BR is looking at.

Ynwa Adam.

Thanks mate. good point. But I still suspect the role of Allen in our team. Alonso never had any serious Injury and he would be regular started like Pirlo at Juventus, such is his quality, he would dominate the oppostion and would relsease gerrard up front to link up with countinho and asapas and sturridge upfront.

Henderson would be the one to watch for. I have criticized him personally, But He would remain in my team due to the energy he puts in.

If I could get 8-10 mill, I would personally sell Borini and buy kevin Germio from PSG, As I rate him miles better than Borini. and he would comepete with Asapas on the right had side.

When Sturridge was signed, he was promised by Rodgers that he would play in the middle of the front 3. He left Chelsea because he hated being put out wide. He will not accept being second fiddle to Higuain, or being messed around again, like he was at Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good points Harry. I have said before that what we need is a wing forward, who is comfortable both out wide and up top; some similar to the likes of Aubameyang, Son, Jovetic, Kokorin, who are all gone to other clubs btw.

Please stay away from pointing out transfer fee as you clearly don't know them.

Also, we can definitely afford £20 million players.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 14:25:18
To the real AG.
Thanks mate, I got your point.
I believe higuain is vlaued at 25 mill by Madrid and we simply cannot buy someone to compete with sturridge with that amount.
This was the sole reason we have failed in trasnfer previous years.most of the player we bring in doesn't fit right in our system.
we should bring a 20 mill player who could walk away in our team.
we imply cannot give players years time to settle in when CL is a must for us coming seaosn.

To the last poster.
You simply can't assume the future and spend the money. If sturridge gets Injured?. If not, then either one of them would sit in the bench whole seaosn.
If sturridge gets injured Borini or Asaps should lead the line. if they cant, that's our problem in brining them.

But we do need a player in case Sturridge gets injured again.
It seems he's very injury prone so I for one don't want to be left short upfront.

Higuian wants both first team and champions league football.Arsenal season ticket renewal was in June. There is Also a massive waiting list plus extensive silver and red membership, hence no need to make up stories to encourage sales.Arsenal had a 123m cash surplus mid last year before they Negotiated the new sponsership deal for stadium and kit logo.Thats around 21m more per season. There is also a new kit supplier due in 2014 which is much more than the current deal.Taking that all into account, Wenger will never pay the 40m to get your main man.The Higuain deal was almost done and dusted before Madrid raised the asking price by around 8-10m euros. just a few facts from an Arsenal supporter . Like my club, Liverpool have tradition and class. Unlike he Mancs.I still think he will leave, but not to Arsenal.

Agree totally, i'm actually ashamed of Lpool fans atm, if everyone would stop listening to the media bs they would realise Luis hasn't once insulted the club, he states he actually loves the club, city and people.

He states that YNWA makes him feel emotion he hasn't felt anywhere else. If he really was that desperate to go then he would have handed in a transfer request weakening Lpool's stance, he hasn't. Have you all thought he may be feeling the same as Gerrard was when courted by Chelsea?

No you all just believe what is getting twisted and printed.

Just read a post on here about Real using Arsenal to get LS cheaply. Arsenal are indeed a club like Lpool, always respected Arsenal as a club, think Lpool would be stupid to sell to a rival so can't see it happening.

People keep banging on about Eriksen. As an expat in Denmark, most football fans over here (Liverpool or otherwise) are pretty nonplussed about him. Often disappears in the big games and hasn’t lived up to the hype or potential that many over here thought he would, say a couple of years back. Whenever I’ve seen him for the national side, I’d tend to agree with that view. Appreciate there are many on this site that would like to see him in a red shirt. There have to be better options. Whatever happens, I think there’s a bit more business to be done and looking forward to the next few weeks.

Hai Ed. mng and great work.

so as per now. we are in negotiations with only llori.
rest are speculations and rumours. {Ed052's Note - At present, Ilori yes}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In negotiations. that we know about. In all due respect to the Eds, I doubt they're that knowledgeable on the workings of the club as to know absolutely everything. It wouldn't surprise if Liverpool were in negotiations with various parties, but they aren't going to air this out to many people. So unless some of the Eds have high, powerful positions in Liverpool I doubt they'll have every answer on every player that LFC are talking to.

I very much doubt, at this juncture in the transfer window and with LFC about to embark on the tour, that there isn't massive amounts of work going on behind the scenes.

If you believe the rags then we're interested in a hundred players and have bid on probably twenty in the last few weeks alone. The Eds have proved that they do get really good info and they pass it on as they get it, e.g. Arsenal's first offer for Suarez on the Thursday afternoon and they knew about this say Monday after and told us. The rags got that one right by guessing 20 players over the past few weeks. I know who I'll listen to anyway

Those of you who read the Spanish press and the Times this morning will know there is a story saying Real will offer Higuain plus cash for Suarez. Something like £10 million over 2-3 years.

An update from Spain is that Higuain's agent has indicated that Higuain will not agree because he wants CL football. Higuain isn't even convinced about moving to any English club because he wants to stay on the continent.

At the moment, Arsenal have the edge for Suarez with a bid of £35 million but even so, this is not likely to be accepted. First club to reach £40 million will have a deal.

out of the lads going on the pre-season tour who do reckon needs to be moved on for - either not being good enough or wanting out?
I personally am praying BR does all he can to move on the likes of Assaidi, Spearing, Coates, Flanagan, Suarez and possibly Downing.
Replace them with 2-3 first team players and a couple of squad players ( Ilori-CB and Alberto Monero-LB) and we are good to go.

Also anybody else reckon we should have give Joao Texeira a go this year from the acadamy?

Currently the market price of LS. Will decide a lot of what goes on in the next 2 weeks. Depends on who we buy, or if LS is convinced to Stay, Which is not out of the question, Liverpool have many options. They have a list of top 4 at positions they would like to fill.

There are a ton of other available strikers for that price who are twice as good as Benteke.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know why people ever got upset by the way Torres left - the only bad thing I could say about it is he left us with very little time, I don't know if he was aware of interest from Chelsea much earlier.

Torres was promised so much by H&G and we made no progress he (along with everyone else at the time) was lied to over and over again. He was fantastic for us then he lost form and we sold him for a huge amount of money so best of luck to him it's not his fault we paid a crazy fee for an injured striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea had interest in Torres for almost two years, when he was at LFC before they signed him. Torres was well aware of this and when he didn't get his move after the World Cup, he sulked and refused to put in the effort.

The real AG

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant interest as in knowing that they were actually looking to do a deal - did Chelsea instigate the move or did Torres get his agent to get them moving that's what I mean? If Chelsea then he couldn't do much about timing, if he started that move then I suppose he had hit breaking point but he should have given more time if that's the case.

In terms of his sulking ya I agree he didn't look interested a lot of the time the half season before leaving but I would put this down to him being promised so much and the owners were just braking promises. I see what you mean though as other players would still have shown a better attitude. {Ed002's Note - The interest was there from the previous summer.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Eriksen - Pimping himself out so what stops him from doing it in two years? Plus he isn't good enough for our system - Very lazy defensive player which won't fit our press system.

Alderwerld(sp) - Overhyped after the success of Vertonghen as he isn't good enough, weak and poor in the air isn't what we need.

So this transfer window has gone from exciting with some fast signing and interest shown in marquee names to incredably depressing.

After Liverpool showed genuin interest in Mkhitaryan and lost out you would expect them to have som other equaly, or close to, big names in the pipe. But no. It seems like Liverpool are only interested in players from below avarage leagues(Jorginho and Praet), or avarage players from semi-good leagues(Chadli). And then there are players like Illori. Big talent but light years away from being close to making any sort of impact at any PL club the next year.

Rodgers talked about wanting to sign players that can make an impact in the starting lineup(a few days ago on LFCTV). If he thinks those players mentioned above will have any impact in Liverpool whatsoever then he must think that he has one of the worst squads in the PL.

Rumored interest in players like Eriksen, Papadopoulos, Shaqiri and Bernard seem to be complete horse rubbish.
What is going on over at Liverpool? Are they seriously trying to improve the squad or just focusing on beyond high risk signings and fringe players from here on(talking about the players rumored in, not the ones that have already been brought in).

They aren't exactly winning anyone over to their side by not going for any marquee players what so ever. Bringing in young players is good to a point but they won't win rubbish without some already developed players there to compete with and guide them.

Like I said the window started great with Toure, Mignolet and Aspas being brought in to fill gaps in the squad and also an exciting prospect in Luis Alberto. But after the Mkhi miss all seem to have gone to rubbish. They need to bring in at least one big name this window or they will lose more support now then the Dempsey ****up last year.
Liverpool have money, they are just not willing to spend.

Let me take you back to 3 weeks ago.

Mkitaryan had been heard of by about 1% of Liverpool fans, he played in a terrible league and after YT videos and his goal return were introduced everyone was disinterested.

Suddenly the overpricing of him to £25m and Liverpool fans fell in love with him, for seemingly little reason.

Cheaper, less money hungry options are evaluated and BAM Liverpool are signing crap.

I wouldn't want to make the step up from another league to Liverpool if this forum represented the entire fan base.

Thank god it's only a vocal minority and unfortunately the majority are silent. {Ed002's Note - His price was always what it was - that was told to you months and months ago, there was no sudden change.}

Being a world cup year many young talents will want to be playing regular football to ensure they book their place in Brazil for the World Cup 2014.

For this reason it would make sense for younger players to move to teams where they will play regularly in order to impress the international Management rather than warming the bench at clubs where the may not feature often.

Brendan Rodgers has shown he is willing to give every player a chance to prove themselves especially the youngsters. Therefore, Liverpool would be a great option for any young player who wishes to establish themselves in the footballing world.

If I were Brendan Rodgers I would be looking at Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea.
Although the player has said he would like to remain at chelsea I find it highly unlikely that this would be the case if another top class Striker was to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer. At 20 years old he is a powerhouse of a striker and was one of the most impressive young talents in the premier league last season. 17 goals and 4 assists in the league is impressive for any player, but even more so at a club like West Brom.
Lukaku fits the 'Liverpool Transfer Policy' and would be a fantastic piece of business for the club if [or when] Suarez leaves and with Rodgers having a good relationship with Mourinho, maybe he could convince the Chelsea Manager to part with the Belgium International.

We would then have four very good attacking options up front.
Number 7 - Lukaku
Number 9 - Aspas
Number 15 - Sturridge
Number 29 - Borini

I would be extremely satisfied going into the new season with these four Strikers. Would you?

Hope we start shifting some of our fringe players, the squad is fairly large and it will be hard to keep everyone happy, we fielded two teams against Preston with a lot of people out. Not to mention the likes of McLaughlin still with the U21s. The signings we make from now one either need to be top prospects, or players with enough quality to be improve the first team.

Happy with the dealings so far though, I just have a feeling about Aspas, but surely we can't be so lucky as to sign three great strikers in a row!;). Toure will be a good squad player for us, still got quality. All four signing have hunger,

Toure - to prove he's not past it
Aspas - natural winner
Mignolet - Belgium squad
Alberto - To emulate other foreign premier league players and prove he can be a success. Also to prove Barca was wrong to not follow it up.

I think all we need now is a TOP right winger, and I sincerely hope with rumours of Bernard are true as he is going to be a magnificent player! Imagine him and Coutinho together. And a big DM that can compete with Lucas, we still seem to get bullied at times.

Very excited for the upcoming season, we do have a brilliant run in until. Christmas,

If bayern do come in for suarez I would straight swap him for shaqiri and muller in my opinion they would both jump at the chance of first team footy with us especially muller as I cannot see him getting much playing time now with the players they have already signed. he is class and will go to waste if he stays there. also he scores goals for fun which would mean less impact on the team without suarez. I honestly think that we have a great chance this season of achieving more than top 4 based on our form in the second half of last season, the players we have bought and the fact that BR still wants to strengthen the 1st team. they are playing it down talking about challenging for top 4 but deep down I think the players and the manager believe that they can challenge for the title. I for one dnt think we are as far behind the mancs and chelsea as people think and the spuds are dreaming if they think they will ever be as big as Liverpool.

Muller would be a lot closer to a straight swap never mind with Shaqiri with him. If Muller was on the market no chance he'd go for any less than £30m. He'd also have his pick of clubs and Bayern are very strong but that includes him - they have plenty of players available surely he's not one of them though?

Know it's the Mirror reporting it, and that they spew a load of rubbish, but on what planet would we turn down a swap deal for Higuain? His stats are fantastic and he has a much better attitude than Luis, I'd accept a straight swap! If the offer was genuinely on the table and we didn't run with it and at least try and make something happen I'd be astounded.

coz. we don't play to that system of 4-4-2. and BR don't wanna push sturridge out wide.
we will not be buying any new striker.
we will be looking for players who can play in 2-3 different positions. especially in front 3. a LW or RW.
or an ACM

Dear ed(s) I was wondering if you could tell me if we have an interest in any big bruising midfielders that would brake up the play, in a Viera type mould. Thanks. Saadi {Ed002's Note - I can't help you there Saadi.}

I don't want us to sell Suarez. I simply don't believe Rodgers can replace him. Can anyone seriously see Eriksen, Bernard, Strootman, Sanchez, Shaqiri, Higuain ect signing for Liverpool? It isn't going to happen. Convince the little genius to stay and let's kick on with the season. Should be selling our poor players anyway and replacing them with better ones, not getting rid of our best players like Luis and Agger!

We've already replaced him, we just need to him leave in order to fill other positions in the squad

Reports out of Germany suggest that Bayern are to offer Shaqiri and Luis Gustavo in a straight exchange for Luiz Suarez your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would go for that
Cannot see it but you never know

That's about £25m! He'll no. If they added in another £15m then we would look at it.

Ed's, has there ever been interest in Gary Medel from the Mighty Reds?. I think we need the bite in middle of the park, which would let the creative lads do there business up front. {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}
