Hi Ed , whats the chance of Liverpool signing any decent player in the summer ? Okay , I know before you even answer it , no chance at all !!
Davo

As much chance as Arry, Modric and Bale staying at Spurs.

16 Feb 2012 18:58:46
hi ed,
who would be your choice of a playmaker if we were to buy one in the summer?
cheers
josh {Ed001's Note - if we could get him Javi Martinez, failing that maybe Moussa Sissoko.}

Dream on ed001 lol although I did dream we signed munian.....

Square tomato

Been saying it all along, Javi Martinez for me. Beautiful passer if the ball, a younger fitter version of Alonso.

In fact we shud raid Bilbao full stop and get Martinez, Llorente and Munian...pretty much takes care of what we need, cost a bomb mind but be worth it

Sinner21

I thought moussa sissoko was much more of a box to box player than a playmaker
josh

My choice would be Diego Ribas if he becomes available in summer, something which i doubt. No better playmaker out there at the moment. Back to his spectacular best now at Atletico.

Hey everybody. Does anyone remember which foreign player it was that landed at Manchester Airport and asked a taxi-driver to take him to the best team in England? The tax-driver (of course) drove him to Anfield!
Dutchmal

What ??

And then you woke up.

Several seasons ago a player arrived at Manchester Airport on his way to Old Trafford (for talks,I think). He asked a taxi-driver to take him to the ground of the best team in England. The taxi-driver was a Liverpool supporter so he drove the player to Anfield. Id that now clear to you?

Ajax crowd were chanting Suarez...if Evra played he definitely would have been booed thats why Sir Alex left him out of the squad.

GuvTOB

It doesn't mean a thing - it's just a wind-up like all the Heysel,Munich,Hillsborough chants. Chants by ignorant people who have no knowledge (or wish to have) about the truth of these events.
Dutchmal

Disagree???
Dutchmal

16 Feb 2012 21:48:44
I wonder how Lille fans feel about Hazard whoring himself out to almost every big club.

GuvTOB

He should be whoring himself about because the lad is just an overhype average player that would probably fail to deliver at a top club.

just me or did Erikson earlier and Rodriguez now both look like serious talent.

NorthWestBest

I think Erikson has always been a serious talent

Didn't see Eriksen's "serious" talent yesterday as his team got whooped by the mancs.

BooDaBooze

They got beat BooDaBooze yeah but hav'nt we been beat when we had proven talent on the pitch! you car'nt take it away from the lad he is serious talent! and young!

Eriksen is a future ballon'd'or winner. Pure class. He may have played poorly yesterday, but then he is playing for a poor team.

Anyone else been impressed by young Colombian lad James Rodriguez for Porto. Looks a great young player!
kidmillions

Unlike Hulk who spent the whole game either play acting or whining, or both simultaneously! And people have suggested he would be a good buy for us - don't think so.
ND

James rodriguez wud be a dream signing. Plus we wudnt have to break the bank for him.

Hi Eds, did you ever find out what the Tottenham reserves NextGEN problem was?

BthekingB {Ed002's Note - They played an underage player if I recall.}

Did you find who it was ed?

BthekingB {Ed002's Note - I did not enquire. It would not be difficult for you to figure out if you are interested.}

Under or overage player?

SUAREZ isn't a striker he is a playmaker and can be used as a winger or he plays off someone

Plays as a striker for his country, though. And he scores truckloads for them too.

i'm watching the man city and porto game HULK doesn't look as good as everyone makes him out to be. richards is doing a good job of taming him

anyone watch the ajax vs man utd game, did eriksen and vertonghen look goos or average. please reply ya true scousers

Ahoy - I really rate Vertonghen, quality player.

He used wear inflatable footwear - BUT HE POPPED HIS CLOGS.

(Thats a hat-trick I think you'll find)

BOILED ONIONS

Thought Ajax were hard done by not getting a penalty in the first half. Moments like that change games.

Glad the ref didn't have your sight problems - u really can't see past all things anti Utd - maybe u should seek help over this fixation

What are you talking about BOILED ONIONS? You make no sense lol.

BthekingB

Boiled that last joke was class mate, pure class
huddz red

Dose it means anything they are not British so Kenny will not buy them. Saquiri did very well in man utd match and B.Munich buy him in £8m so surprise we not go for him.

Boiled Onions, its the Dutch that traditionally wear clogs. Verthongen is Belgian. Come on now, if you insist on quoting Tim Vine jokes then atleast be geographically correct.

Just watched the Manchester United, and iv'e got to say you have to give credit to old whisky nose when he bought Ashley Young who was a very good player at Villa, and has now turned him into a sensational Diver.

Also Erickson looks a decent player however DON'T think De-Yong is worth looking at from our point of view

Streaming football:

www.firstrowsports.eu

www.wiziwig.tv/index.php?part=sports

1. Install the browser Google Chrome.

2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.

3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.

4. Click on extensions

5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.

6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.

7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install. (it may download to a holding file in the bottom left as you look at it, in which case as soon as it's finished click there, but mostly it will install itself)

8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that, select 'live stream' and reset the clock to GMT and it will list all the live games available all over europe and other places.

You may occasionally need to install other programmes or the link you pick will only work on Explorer (in which case cut and paste the URL into Explorer), but you will always get every EPL match (or any other). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English. You'll get about thirty links and you may have to look through a lot of them to get what you want. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches and French matches as well as top matches from South America.

Someone also asked about viruses etc. Google Chrome is actually far more secure than Internet Explorer so the risks are considerably less, but you should have decent virus/spyware programmes and run sweeps regularly as a matter of course.

The quality will also depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have super-speed and have a modern HD TV, consider connecting your PC to the TV via the PC socket on the side/ back.

Cut and paste the above into a document and save it for future reference.

RED LENIN

Thanks guys : )

Frank Rijkaard should be the next manager. after all Suarez Saga and Kenny's Huge money Sign of Carroll , Downing not working I didn't see the team will be good if Kenny sty. Frank Rijkaard have good idea about young talent and he is one of the master who create today's Barca. I know people will come to bully me but Liverpool have a mess up under Kenny.

KK was a great manager back then during the late 80s. But times have changed. After Blackburn he had past his best in management. With players like Downing,Carroll and the other average players he has bought, we will never win the premier title under his management.

Eds with silva out on loan and the first team staff attending more reverse fixtures do you think some youngster will be promoted to first team duties for a cameo or two?

If so who you expect? IMO likes of Morgan, suso nd sterling are too immature and a little frail but I think coady, wisdom and maybe silva if he returns before the end of the season

Cheers

So Beckham, Scholes, Giggs and all the Mancs were at training a few years back when Becks says' sod this, i'm nipping off home', after slipping out he gets home and hears moans from the bedroom, he edges closer to the bedroom and the moans are getting louder, he quietly opens the door to find Fergie giplaying scrabble with Victoria, so he just closes the door, sneaks out and drives off. The next day they are all at training again when Giggs and Scholes shout over ' Hey Becks, are you gonna nip off early from training again today?', Becks shakes his head and says 'No hkin way boys, i nearly got caught yesterday!'

A Competition!

DO YOU COME FROM MANCHESTER ?
DO YOU HAVE RELATIVES IN MANCHESTER ?

DO YOU LIVE NEAR MANCHESTER ?

If you say NO to these three questions, you are an ideal person to become a fan of MANCHESTER UNITED

Yes, this is your big chance to join the ever-growing army of glory hunters who can be seen around the country in the colours of The Spam. To join the newly-formed club, simply send in a map with a cross marking where you think the city of Manchester is. In the unlikely event of there being two correct entries and thus a tie, fill in the tie-break question at the bottom of the page.

* YOU COULD WIN *

FIRST PRIZE: Brand new, 'S' registration Ford Bandwagon for you and the others to jump on. This prestige vehicle comes with many features, including stereo radio ( pre-set to come on at 4:45pm every Saturday as you, of course, won't be at the game ).

SECOND PRIZE: One years supply of new design Manchester United shirts. These will be despatched to you weekly.

THIRD PRIZE: A complete supply of Manchester United programmes from the games that you have attended. Both will be sent in the same envelope.

Tie Breaker ( in no more than 12 words )

I feel it necessary to follow a football team that I have absolutely no connection with because: ...................................................................... ......................................................................

Name: ...........................

Address: ........................ ........................ ........................

Age:....... Mental Age:.......

As this page is about Manchester United and their supporters who are incredibly stupid I would like to point out that the above competition is a joke and should not be taken seriously!
***************************************

I posted this and others on the utd page and i personally dont think it is poor humour but it did not get posted on the UTD page...Biased Ed's but like i said Ed001-002-16 are the best Ed's on the pages

Ed why is that certain Mancs can post jokes about Lfc and our fans and they get posted no problem yet i post a few jokes and a joke competition on the manc page and Low and Behold...Witness if you will they get erased from all existance AS PER USUAL!!!! i thought this was a NON BIASED site, it is Banter after all

MJ {Ed002's Note - If they are clean and don't mention any forbidden subjects then I am sure they will get posted.}

Sorry Ed but certain Ed's obviously follow the rules like when Ed007 was slagging off Lfc players and i called him an person and he banned me so im guessing as he dislikes Lfc he deletes any united joke which in my opinion is just bad sportsman ship but you Ed001 and Ed16 are the best so thanks for taking time to explain

Luis Suarez receives 'support and solidarity' from Uruguayan president Jose Mujica.
"It is vital for Suarez to feel from so far away the love that Uruguay has for him. That is why we show solidarity with Suarez," the head of state insisted in a speech broadcast on M24. He is a brilliant example on the pitch, a humble kid who escaped from poverty.
Mujica finished by criticizing the outrage caused by Suarez's actions on Saturday. He dubbed the scandal "exaggerated", underlined that Suarez "did not have a single racist bone" and pointed out that a "footballer does not study diplomatic protocol".
King Willie

At least sum1 can back luis properly.

Hope he starts banging in the goals so everyone will stop saying he will be sold yes he has made a few mistakes in his footballing career but UTD has milked all they can out of the last problem so its all lookin good for the future... Start smashing the goals in Luis we all know you can do it

Just talking about the "old days" below there. That day when both Liverpool teams played in the FA Cup, there was over 100,000 football fans around Stanley Park.
Liverpool back then used to regularly get 50,000-55,000 crowds too.
Nobody had heard about 'transport infra-structure' then !

The son asked "is he worth it, Dad?", to which the father, surprised at his son's interest in fine art, replied "I suppose so, son. Why do you ask?"

I think that all mancs look like scawny little rats. I saw a bloke in the chip shop the other day, wearing a white AIG Utd shirt from a few years back. Honestly, he looked like a rat. And watching Premier league years they showed some of the Utd fans looking their usual glum and brain dead selves, and they all looked exactly the same as the bloke in the chip shop.

Hardly a shock but Liverpool won't be renewing Sicknote Aurelio's contract when it runs out in the Summer. The Brazillian, who last played 3 consecutive games when he was at junior school, will be sorely missed by the Club's medical team who regard him as more than a close friend ...they'll also have to lay off some staff!

To the one liner bandits, mainly residing in Manchester if you are going to come on the Liverpool section remember to at least make an effort to bring some decent banter because the standard of your wit seems to of been misplaced, most probably on your own banter section. Let me give you guys a riddle, we weren't impressed the first or for that matter the repeated times you have all tried, tell me why? if you guys do manage to find the answer please do feel free to come back and try again. I'll leave you with a little clue because I'm feeling in a generous mood, it will not be and I repeat, it will not be found on your banter page.

Uruguay captain Diego Lugano is the man! have a read of his interview and his staunch defence of our Luis. Love it, especially this quote -

"It's a football argument, and many false moralists and hypocrites have profited, and Luis is the only innocent party in this situation."

Sums up quite succinctly the likes of Gordon Taylor, bandwagon jumping journalists like Holt and Barclay, and anti-racism campaigners like Piara Powar. False moralists and hypocrites to a man.

Sean

If you have not heard the fiery interview by John Barnes on Talksport....make sure you hear it where he just tears the host, Barclay and the other journalist (Ashton may be) apart.....

After driving out Rafa and Capello no doubt the next target seems to be Suarez...

LiverBird

Yep, media band wagon milked it for all it was worth... names kept making statements and I'd be thinking... Who are you? and you? and you? and you?

Shows what a big name Liverpool FC actually is... would not have been half the media coverage if it was 2nd division team...

All the media attention stem's from one man's influence! MURDOCH!

Hi Ed's
after watching Arsenals collapse last night I am wondering.....If we finish above Arsenal and Chelsea it is likely we will finish 4th, if we did finish 4th (big IF but you never know) would a bid for RVP be a bit too cheeky or do you see him Barca/Madrid bound?

surely he wont stay at Arsenal if it means no champions league!

If we had a player of he's class this season we would be challenging for the title!

Just a thought to be honest!

Neilos III {Ed001's Note - I would love us to sign him, but it is unlikely, Arsenal would rather he went abroad I am sure.}

I was just thinking, the other day when I thought that the Brighton match was on Saturday but it's been switched to Sunday cos Everton are at home as well.
There was an occasion in the late 70's (I think) when we went to a FA Cup day.
One of my younger brothers is a bluenose (I don't know what happened there). So we all jumped in the Austin Allegro, going along Queens Drive, with red scarves out of one side of the car and blue out of the other.
In them days you could drive straight in to the big car park in Stanley Park, first come-first in. Pay at the gate and give ten bob to the kids to watch your car.
I went into the Kop to see Liverpool v Bury, and my dad had to take our kid to Goodison to watch Everton v Wrexham, which he wasn't too happy about.
Both matches had 50,000 odd attendances. During a lull in play at Anfield, you could hear a roar from over the park from the Blues. Brilliant. No trouble, Police weren't bothered, all the pubs right round were bouncing, and both teams won as well.
Gordon Lee, the then Everton manager, was on radio after the match saying that as he was driving in to Goodison, how good it was to see Reds & Blues in the same cars, walking alongside each other.
Happy days eh ?
The Real KB

KB, you won't believe this, but that game was exactly 32 years ago today! (I had to check the date though!) FA Cup 5th round, David Fairclogh scored both goals. And I was there too :) And Gordon Lee once nearly ran me over in his brown Mini, the massive slaphead! Memories of the good old days.

Sean

That's a great story The Real KB, a time when things were much simpler - what has happened to the modern day football fan?

Everyone seems so full of anger at matches these days, spiteful and revolting things are shouted at the players and opposition fans. If you watch a game on the tele and there is an incident, you look at the fans in the background and you can lip-read what they are shouting and see them giving the finger etc. Football just seems so much more tribal these days.

It's the same with the modern fans need for instant success. People no longer have the patience to let a manager build a team or squad and gradually improve over a couple of seasons. Now, if you don't win every game the fans are calling for the manager to be sacked and the players sold. There is no respect any more.

JRG

No way Sean mate !
To this day, we all mention it when we have a family get-together. We were (still are!) convinced that Gordon Lee was talking about our car when he did the radio interview !
I tell you what, JRG too, I'd have only been 13 and my old fella had no qualms about letting me go in the Kop on my own back then.
Wrexham had a striker called Dixie Dean playing for them that day at Everton as well. Anyone remember him ?
What you say about respect is true. Mind you, someone robbed Everton Manager Gordon Lee of his wallet at a Merseyside derby. Lol.
The Real KB

I also remember that day well 'cos me and me dad and brother ended up at Everton for some reason. Can't remember why......just that we were gutted at the time.
ANFIELDPETE

Do you remember, Sean, that Bury got a tremendous reception at the end of that game ?
They were in the old 4th Div I think, and they played well that day. As you said, it only ended up 2-0.
The Kop was chanting their team name at the end, got a great clap off, and their players came over to clap us too.
And they're half mancs. Lol.
The Real KB

But hey.....forgot to mention it....

A LOVELY POST by the Real KB.....

We would surely welcome more posts like these instead of routine "never happening" transfer rumours...

LiverBird

Absolutely KB. The good old days of teams saluting the Kop, and the Kop responding in kind. Brighton in the FA Cup when Jimmy Case scored against us to knock us out was another one I remember vividly for the same thing.

hello everyone & eds

just like to put the following question out there , would you rather have 2 cups and a europa league place at the end of the season ! or 0 cups and a top 4 spot?
believeable- yes (2 cups , no top 4)
un-believeable- no (0 cups , top 4)

Persoanally i would take the 2 cups now and take a europa league place becuase we exists to win trophies ! but we cant tempt fate because cardiff we will difficult and the match will be decided who performs the better on the day & obviously the F.A cup is allways hard to win: so come on the liverpool ! we can do all 3 ! we can king kenny back where he belongs and here to stay ! and we we got magnificent owers who are here to stay! just look at the progress we have m,ade under kenny & FSG : YNWA : DALGLISH! {Ed001's Note - I would always choose trophies, we exist to win things, not finish 4th!}

Totally agree with you Ed , i feel if we win a trophy this season , it will go down as a success : because our last trophy was in 2006 at the end of the day: DALGLISH!

I would take 4th, so we can get CL: Extra money for better players, and CL to attract these better players so we can win trophies in the future. Short term...a trophy would be nice but in the long term 4th is more important.

redkenyan

You know being in europa is not that bad in my opinion, still in europe, still attractive. id say 2 cups n europa would be fine, even 1 cup and europa is fine. but if we could make top 4, its better i guess?

Kaizer

I would compromise with 1 Cup and a Top 4 finish.

Whilst we want to win trophies, consistently finishing in the top 4 is crucial to our long term future. If we want to attract the best players (and keep our best players), we need to be playing in the top club competition. The money CL brings is important, especially with the FFP rules coming in in the near future.

RedSG

Top 4 all day long. More trophies eventually. Nothing beats a Champions League game at Anfield and I have missed them so much in recent years.

Ash

I'd take the two cups, but it would be hard to stomach not being in the CL. Well, see what happens. Still going for two cups AND 4th though!

2012/13 season

Suarez - Carroll
Tadic - Lucas - Gerrard - Afellay
Enrique - Agger - Skrtel - Kelly
Reina
-
De Jong
Bellamy - Downing
Adam - Henderson
Spearing
Robinson - Carragher - Coates - Isla
Gulacsi

16 Feb 2012 12:53:48
Ed, do you think Downing will still be at Liverpool next season?

ToonRed {Ed001's Note - yes. I think he will be given another season.}

Downing has done nothing wrong, he just needs a confidence like Carroll did(know look at Carroll no ones saying lets get rid now are they?) he will come good.

Another great buy from kenny that has helped the team 0 goals 0 assists. and to think kenny said no to signing mata {Ed001's Note - no he didn't. You really should learn not to tell lies.}

Blaming downing for no assists makes me laugh he,s set up a few good chances but no 1 has converted them thats hardly his fault no one is on the end to finish the move he can hardly cross the ball and be there to finish it as well im not defending him he has been dissapointing but the 0 assists has no bearing on it if the chances were converted he could have 5 to 10 assists would you then say he,d been having a good season course you wouldnt he can be a good player bugger knows what happened to him

Least he could do is chip in with a goal or two then if the above poster can't see anything wrong with his game and its other players faults. Remember City, clean through but never looked like scoring.

Y does every1 go on about downing o assists 0 goals remeber that 1 goal in the 5-1 thrashing of oldham. Yeah carragher wouldve neteed that 1.

The only problem i always see is both downing and carroll are not playing together on the pitch, If one starts, other stays on the bench. But when downing do start, he did put in a lot of crosses though they are not pin point with quality in them, n one seems to attack the box in the first place. only one striker or other will be in the box with rest of them staying behind the line. So that one person will be marked out and defenders heads away and some one shoots wildly from out of the box like Adam, gerrard, hendo and jay. I blame some of our midfielders not to attack the box very often, Even if carroll plays he can't do the all. Atleast he will attract defenders attention which leaves space and gaps iin the box and midfielders needs to make the runs in to the box and try to score or make assists. I personally ehink it is down to tactics and lack of confidence which something management thing need to deal with. I really expect Hendo to attack these kinds of balls in the box since he have very good game intelligence and adam to stay just of box to shoot them if they are spilled out.

We need more players to attack the cross in the box. This is borderline reason for our woes in front of the goal this season.

AJ

I'm still sayin sell Carroll! no name Warrior

16 Feb 2012 12:15:07
eds what was the name of the player that looked certain to sign for liverpool in the summer but the opted to join newcastle.... is he dead lol {Ed001's Note - Marveaux, he is injured, again.}

He never started did he Ed? {Ed001's Note - I think he has started 2 first team games for Newcastle and went off injured just after half time in the second one.}

16 Feb 2012 12:05:30
Where do you think we need improving ed's ?
I would like to us bring in another central defender but none of the one's a lot talk about on here i would love a defender who has prem experience someone like Samba or Hangeland or if Everton are skint again in the summer put a bid in for Jagieka, all of these have prem experience and are internationals, better than a foreign player with no experience of the level of football in england.

Also i think we are desperate for a player in the Silva/Modric/Mata mould. It kills me to think we could of got Mata for 18 million but spent 40 on Henederson and Downing !

Would defo like to see us get De Jong though, him and Suarez as our main strikers would be lethal, with Carroll as back-up for something different if we need a big man on the pitch, this season we are not using his attributes correctly in my opinion.

3 additions next season like these ones and i think we will defo challenge the Manchester clubs for the title

Rob Redman
{Ed001's Note - for me it is a right winger and striker we need. I would have loved Honda too, he could play pretty much every position and play them well. I will never understand why we have not bought him.}

Agree with ed Honda is a snip at £14m and as ed said can play pretty much anywhere and also has an eye for goal. {Ed001's Note - he is the modern day Steve Nicol, well left footed Stevie Nick.}

16 Feb 2012 11:56:05
Ok Ed I'm starting to get a bit worried about the weekend there is talk of a lot of reserve team players coming in for the Brighton game.. I hope Kenny puts his strongest team out i think we have a great chance of both FA and League cup.

I'd like to see us use a few youth players but have better players on the bench incase. I hope we don't do that for the final though

Really is to much of a banana skin to play the kid's!

Everton at home.

Are Arsenal still in it? They would be easy at the moment :)

I've said all season to my mates, for some reason, probably King Kenny being back, I'd love a Merseyside derby in the final. Romance and nostalgia right there, and who better to leave crying on the way home from Wembley.

I am just wandering whats the eds and peoples opinion on the state of the quality of the prem. I mean english clubs have been poor in europe apart from stoke who have performed brilliant.

Do you feel the quality of the prem has dropped considerably?

City had a tough group, uniteds performance in europe was one of the worst i have ever seen but to be expected by an unsucessful manager in europe and arsenal were just totally outclassed last night and were given the run around. Spurs also failed to qualify from there group and chelsea have no chance of winning the Cl.

But then again there is only one english club that do well in europe and thats Liverpool.

Cheers
mighty reds

Morning
I actually think that the prem as a whole is stronger than it was, even though the top teams are not.
During the 'Big Four' years, the prem was very polarised. The four teams at the top would hardly lose any games and the teams at the bottom were usually adrift by this stage of the season.
Now, teams are turning each other over on a regular basis.
But definitely the 4 x English CL sides are not as strong as they were IMO.
The Real KB

Think a factor in Europe is some of the Major teams AC,INTER,REAL,BARCA,BAYERN,BENFICA OH! HAD BETTER INCLUDE BASEL :-) or our manc friends won't forgive me; Have improved.

Morning all, as a spurs fan I doubt think we took the composition seriously enough especially by the way harry picked his teams, apart from the final home game! a few under 18's were used in the group stages, which harry did say he would be doing.

Sadly for arsenal, like heatber mills, the second leg will only be for show!

Sir billy nick

"Sadly for arsenal, like heatber mills, the second leg will only be for show!"

That's comedy!

JRG

Nothing like not taking a composition seriously

Its because when we were Europe, we dominated the other teams so badly it looked like England was doing very well.

I did'nt like that tune either!

Guess what fellow Liverpool supporters... I know we are going to sign Hazard Erikson (spelling) and maybe 2 more world class players.... You know how I know... Well its because we will finish 4th win a cup or 2 and will attract every player under the sun...
Believe it and it might just happen... Keep being negative doesnt work.... It just makes you more bitter and drags the team down as well as your family.... I am looking forward to a cracking end of season...

Positive Red :)

Have you never heard of the power of negative thinking?

Havent you ever heard of being serious , or is craking jokes all you do up here ! The best you can hope for is Emile Heskey

Suarez, depending on his football performances this season, will stay at Liverpool at least for next season. He certainly will not be sold on by Liverpool because he has apologized for his not shaking Evra's hand. (Although, my take on the not shaking hands was not entirely his fault). IF you watch the video, Evra's hand is outstretched for everyone, and then when Suarez comes along, he pulls lit back to his side and invites Suarez to reach for him. Plus, he also looks at Suarez quiet invitingly, as if to say, you come to me, because I won. No wonder Luis decided to say: "All right then, next".

Anyway, Lavezzi's agent always wants to get him a new contract, more money and seems to always be using LFC as an interested party to get Napoli to the table. Don't think thereis much in it myself, although I think he would be an outstanding addition for an in the hole striker behind Suarez. Very clever player, and great goal scorer, creative, loads of excellent off the ball movement and craft. Fantastic player.

On a serious note though, I don't hear anything coming out of Anfield with regard to summer targets, and no rumours have caught my eye to the point that I would say, now that has substance.

All quiet and as it should be.

Are you Right!! Yes he was in the wrong totally accept it and move on..

Agree with you, but regarding everyone saying that Evra didn't have his hand out streched when Suarez walked past is just us clutching at straws if you watch the video of that suarez doesn't even look at evra or down nearv his hand he just walks past and puts his hanmd out for Ferdinand

16 Feb 2012 08:39:43
Hi Eds
do you think the whole Suarez situation will have any effects on possible sponsors for the new stadium if thats the avenue the club decide to go down?
Doyley2005 {Ed002's Note - There is no doubt that the image of the club has been tarnished, but whether or not there will be a new stadium and who the sponsors are is something we don't yet know, so it makes little sense to speculate.}

Most common sensed individuals saw what really happened. So the image of the club is not tarnished by what has happened, but by the constant follow on driven by the media.

I genuinely don't think some people live in the real world. It's not like all the big companies we'd be looking at for sponsorship are bastions of virtue and morality. Look at one of the world's biggest companies this week for example, who shall remain nameless but combining fruit with music on the go will give you a clue, being investigated for Human Rights abuses and slave labour conditions in factories in China.

Big businesses who can afford the sizeable sponsorship we need wouldn't be put off by this; sadly, but fortunately enough for us, they're only interested in the $$s or ££s. One minor incident will have little or no effect. Look at the Kobe Bryant scandal for example. He managed to secure massive lucrative sponsorships with Nike and Coca Cola after settling out of court on a much more serious charge.

Sean.

JDH the spurs fan, are you know better than the people who went on your site? If there so sad leave it at that, don't then come onto our site and be even sader! **NEWSFLASH**

It has emerged that Police received a missing person's report for Luis Suarez on Saturday; reports say he went missing from around 12:45pm

The last sighting had witnessed Mr Suarez at 12:40pm refusing to shake hands with one of United's players, which it was thought at first may be related to his sudden disappearance. But when later asked about that incident he replied "no, no, to not shake someone's hand means 'Good Day Sir' where I come from"

It's OK though. Mr Suarez was finally tracked down at round 2.35pm loitering in the United 6 yard box, where he was witnessed scoring one of the luckiest goals this year; a small consolation to those who had been worried for his whereabouts for most of the afternoon

(sorry couldn't resist editing an old joke I stumbled across ;-)

Gav

He scored. Surely that's a worthy contribution to a game?

Wow , you really nailed us.

'Joke'? Surely it has to be at least mildly amusing to be classed as a 'joke'?

cozinoz

Nothing lucky about the goal Gav - it was all down to Ferdinand defending like a clown. Fair play to Rio though, he probably still had grass in his eyes froom that majestic face plant he had earlier in the day when Patrice tried to dry hump him for not shaking Suarez's hand.

Is Manc humour all as bad as yours? Poor attempt lad.

LIVERPRES

Oh my word I havent stopped lagging yet.
Can you please tell me where Wanye Roomey was in the summer of 2010 please?Rumour has it he went missing in south africa

It was probably the Manchester United Defence that reported it. Throughout the game they didnt have a clue were he was. It was like watching something from catch that pigeon when Evra (DICK Dastardly) tried to take Suarez out and ended up taking Rio (Clank) out instead. Funny.

Before i start my rant ive gotta say i respect LFC and all they have achieved in the game. But ive just been on the spurs site gotta say you guys are very funny , funny in that its obvious that some liverpool fans are in such self denial that they have go on the spurs site and take their fustrations out on us but you know what its all banter so thats cool. I bet that secretly you would love to be in our position, and you know what i can admit i would love to have won as many trophies as lfc have. Just admit it you would love to have bale, modric ,parker, van der vaart and others in your team and be in a champs league position. What about king kenny buying all these players in the summer and relying on a broken player in gerrard to save you, the title was yours wasnt it ,oh no wait hows that working out for you , maybe you should have given the money to someone else, £35m for a player that only played a quater of a season who cant pass ,has liittle pace ,crap tachnique, cant score and completely slows your game down great buy that is ,even your own fans r asking questions about the manager and his transfer deals. One thing spurs fans get accused of is living in the past but aren't you doing the same football is played in the present not on history and no team has a right to be winning titles and getting into europe because of there history you have to earn it . Lastly before the inevitable "typical spud" comments im not taking anything for granted i know we haven't won anything yet or qualified for champs league so i could still go tits up but the fact is we are where we deserve to be in the league and are a better team than lfc the table doesnt lie .maybe it wont last who knows but the future looks bright for spurs even if harry goes, i bet there would be a few top managers intersted in the job can u honestly say the same about lfc rant over.

JDH

What's your point?

Matt S - YNWA

If kenny walked or was pushed yeah they'd be load's of top manager's who would jump to the task of managin us!

No doubt you guys are better than we are right now.

But be careful, because what goes around, comes around.

You guys may qualify for champ league, etc, but you havent a hope in hell of winning anything, thats looking to the future!
JB

Haven't a hope of hell of winning anything?. we are in the Carling cup final. what are spurs going to achieve this season, top 4?. is that it?. the reason why us liverpool supporters don't like you guys is because ever since you taken our champions league place, you guys have become cocky and think your the best team in europe. liverpool are a work in progress and still we can attract the best players.

Who ever posted this....

Will be interesting to see how Spurs do once Harry's the England manager. You say you'll be able to attract a top class manager, but lets not forget the manager before Redknapp, Juande Ramos was at the time rated as one of the best managers in Europe and would have got Spurs relegated if he had stayed in charge. Very few managers around with the motivational skills of Delboy Redknapp, a manager with a proven track record is no guarantee of success.
