Eds fellow reds, just looked at the next 6 games, if we can get 3points tomorrow the confidence should be that high we could get max points out of first 9 games . But let's take it one at a time, one quick question is kolo toure fit for tomorrow's game . {Ed001's Note - should be, it is whether or not we choose to risk him that matters now.}

Hey Eds,

I was just wondering something after seeing the injury update over at the Gunners.

Does anyone reckon there is something up with Arsenal's training regime/style or their physio team because their players always seems to pick up knocks on and off the pitch - or is it just the same dumb luck that strikes over and over?

Cheers,
Jolly Red

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Arsenal do seem to get quite a lot of injuries but they have to be 1 of the unluckiest teams around If I remember right they have lost quite a lot of players whilst there playing for country

Agree0 Disagree0

My buddy is a Gooner and he's been wondering about this for a few years. He seems to think there must be something up as they are always picking up knocks.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have worked with physios involved in top level football and one in particular said gary lewin was a very good physio but his brother colin was not up to scratch. I believe that arsenals physio set up is nowadays headed by colin lewin so this might explain a bit.

I'm led to believe it was a pretty huge cock-up over fabregas when he 'fractured his leg taking a penalty in europe'. This could not have happened unless there was already a stress fracture or it was already fractured pre match. With the fibula being a non weight bearing bone he could have tolerated so much but when he blasted the pen he exposed the injury.

Somehow doubt it is all bad luck!

Cheers

Anybody else been following wanyama this season? He looks top class. Think we missed out on him! Assuming we ever showed interest.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Eds fellow reds, TJ Red .i watched him this season, got him in my dream team but he looks a long way off the pace of prem .gets cought out on the ball a lot especially when he is facing his own goal .need another six months before we judge him I think .

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate it when people say that.

We didn't miss out on him
He missed out on us

Eds one question for you. I was really impressed by the work Baldini done at Spurs in his role as some sort of director. Would the club look into someone like that or is that Ian Ayre role? I think I read somewhere that Rodgers like to have total control over his transfers which would mean we wouldn't see someone like Baldini come in. {Ed002's Note - They are different roles and the club was looking. You are correct that Rodgers is against the idea but the club has already made significant additions to the scouting system. Certainly LFC don't want another Comolli scenario.}

Wow Mark Halsey wrote in his book that the referees where on texting terms with Fergie and they sought his advice on things like whether to go on strike or not. Don't won't to sound like a conspiracy theorist but surely this has to be looked into.

The BBC tried to find out if ''Fergie time'' actually exists or is it just a football myth, the article link is very interesting and Graeme Poll gives his opinions and experience within as well.

Quite interesting is that the birth of the ''Fergie time'' myth was in the first ever Premier League (92/93) season where United and Sheff Wed were drawing 1-1 after ninety minutes and the referee added on 7 minutes in which Steve Bruce scored a header and United won.

''Fergie time is not a myth, i've seen it.'' :) shared link in good faith and spirit, some sites are simply venomous about this but I hope this is seen as genuine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does it surprise you? Everyone knows English football is rigged around Fergie

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll bet it also wasn't allowed to be released until fergie left the hotseat.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie has mates in the fa. Well 'mates' that he is not afraid to intimidate. you scratch my back and I won't stab you in the back
also the other managers who he passed on players to. All in his pocket.

I suspect the extent of it will only become clear over time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some peoples world revolves around their hatred for fergie and utd, ffs get over it and get a life

Agree0 Disagree0

Some peoples world revolves around their hatred for Liverpool, ffs get over and get a life. See the word I could say the same thing about you. {Ed001's Note - Fergie admitted using manipulation to combat the hold the Old Firm had up in Scotland, while managing Aberdeen. Plenty of his players have told how he would have them intimidate officials etc as a tactic. Only a complete imbecile would think he would stop using a tactic that worked so successfully behind when he moved down south.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol at word. Not being able to dispute anything tangeable, or debate against it, so resorts to just cheap insults.
No mate, our lives don't revolve around any "hatred" for United. This is simply pointing out the facts.
I see you had more then a little help from the officials again this weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do people really think the he ruled the EPL I don't think so somehow people need to stop trying to find things to stick!!

ok let's stop talking about something important as ref manipulation. the word isn't happy about it.
although I remember arsenal players used to surround and intimidate the ref a bit aswell. probably doesn't want that mentioned

Agree0 Disagree0

AndykopLiverpool your getting off your high horse now I am sure u told me I was dumb for saying refs r scared to give decisions against utd they don't want fergie on there case slagging them off in the media so utd always get the rub of the green eg sendings off off side goals etc

hi eds and reds

seen on motd last night a banner in evertons ground which read everton fans are born not manufactured, is that a dig at us r just all clubs who have a more worldwide support and if it is a dig at clubs with a lot of support outside Liverpool it dosent say much for their few fans from further a field.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would guess it's a dig at Chelsea, as they were playing Chelsea at the time and their fan base has only grown since the oil money appeared. Just a guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it is then the fan who made it is oblivious to the fact that all clubs need as many fans as possible, but then again small minded fits well with a small club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you're looking far to much into it lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Because we're the People's Club and we know those sort of statements just rile you lot IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

AvitURS your trophy winning skills is what really gets to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

That banner is aimed directly at Liverpool fans, I can guarantee you all that!

They have been pushing this you are born a blue but become a red crap for years, they will never match our trophy winning accomplishments so look for crumbs of comfort in other areas and will use any sad myth to make themselves feel better!

We are there OBSESSION!

They would have won the European Cup if it wasn't for US don't you know ( another myth! ) {Ed001's Note - they turned the Fowler family red with vile abuse, so maybe they have a point? After all, who would choose to be blue once they are old enough to think for themselves? ;o)

Agree0 Disagree0

i see barkley is the next player to be once a blue always a red utd r sniffing round again once their feeder club has a decent player.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'll tell you at 7pm tomo night

I think he will start he's okay just didn't want to risk it for England needed to rest it

One thing that as really impressed me this season is our team spirit. All the players seem to be pulling in the same direction. A tough team selection tomorrow over whether he starts Skrtel or Toure. I suppose Skrtel is in possession and its up to others to earn his spot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Toure may well start at right-back .

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been impressed by Henderson, has started with a real determination and a lot of quality. Does the simple things consistently well and is a real team player. Has the physique not to be out muscled in midfield and is a real dynamo in the centre of the pitch.
Sturridge looks like he is the real deal, a genuine bargain if ever there was one!

I see utd getting there usual helping hand from the ref yesterday a pen when it was a free kick and a player send off when young dives! then the ref bottled it to send off young for two yellows I have lost count of the games utd play that r tight and the refs r fast send people off and give pens to them but then when the shoe is on the other foot they move the goal posts! that's why utd don't do so good in Europe refs don't fear fergie r the manc media I just thought with wiskey nose gone things would change but it seems webb clatenburg and all there puppets will keep them in the mix even when they don't play good! I think we have had berger, owen, mascerano, gerrard, and shelvey sent off againt utd in last 15years I can only think of vidic for them against us!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That fellow Brown did get sent off as well but I see your point. No doubts that United got lucky yesterday and they got the benefit of the doubt more often than not but to go on a bit of a rant like that makes you look bitter. There are lots of positives to focus on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously mate enough with the dumb conspiracy theories yes they have had a fair few decisions go their way but that doesn't mean its cause the refs are biased or afraid. Its just coincidence they got lucky whatever move on! In case you didn't notice when they played against us at Anfield they didn't get a penalty and none of our players got sent off as well you're quite deluded to think that they have the refs in their pocket. Seriously grow up!

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was a close match, my conspiracy radar would have been twitchier, but I watched it up until they scored, and they were all over them. Can't say they didn't deserve the win I'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

If your talking about welback going down it was never a pen the ref had a good game in the last game v utd! all I am saying a lot of utd games get ruined because the refs don't want to upset fergie and co! sure were fergie and rio ferd not speaking out againt hawk eye for goalline wonder why!

I wouldn't worry about Manchester United this season. They are in For a very tough season. Bauer Leverkusen followed by man city away this week. They have looked a shadow of their former selves and players body language doesn't seem the same. They will have a battle for a top 4 place as will all the other top 5 teams. It's so wide open.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you need to factor in that most of the "big" teams seen to have more of the calls go their way. Unfortunately, utd have been the biggest presence in the league for awhile now. No conspiracy, just the way it goes.

Just me Lukaku in Manchester airport. Seems a nice fella, asked him why didn't he sign for the best team on merseyside, his reply was we never put an offer in or he would have taken it. Shame, think he is a cracking player!

Kosovo Joe

Ps I got a photo with him but don't know how to upload it

I expect we would have, if we had not already got Moses in on loan.
Having said that, Chelsea won't wish to let him go permenantly, whereas Moses might well have been sold had a cash bid come in.
If Moses does well, I expect us to try and make the deal permenant, I doubt we would have had that option with Lukaku.

Hello Ed's, do you think if Emmanuel adebayor were to become a free agent that Liverpool would be interested in signing him? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool could not sign him until January and I don't see that there is any chance of that right now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is one player we need to keep well away from!

Agree0 Disagree0

Does he really have the 'hunger' Rodgers is always referring to?
