This afternoon in Dublin I went to see "YNWA The Official History Of Liverpool FC". My fantastic girlfriend got the tickets for my birthday, which is this Tuesday. I will be turning 36. The play from start to finish was exceptional, beginning from the very birth of LFC right through to today. When it got to the part about Hillsborough you could hear a mouse fart, it was done in such a moving way that the tears were filling up in my eyes & I'm sure along with the other 800+ people in the theatre. The finale of the show consisted of You'll Never Walk Alone & The Fields Of Anfield Road being sung to such a volume that I'm sure people walking about outside the theatre could hear us! I got the feeling right there & then that something special is happening with our beloved club, it just feels like it's our year! I want to say to the players & Brendan. You have already done us SO proud this season! & to all you lucky fans who will be in attendance tomorrow to SING, CHANT, CHEER, CLAP for as long & as hard you can! I will be watching at home in Dublin but my heart will be there, along with the beautiful 96 Liverpool FC fans who went to a match one day 25 years ago, but never returned. I'm sorry this post went on a bit, it's just been one hell of an emotional day. YNWA JFT96!!

All the best to the lads on Sunday, well done to Brendan and to all the people involved in getting the team so far, it's been a brilliant journey and the football has been sublime. The 96 will never be forgotten and at least the families may get some closure at last, we cannot imagine their pain but at least we can stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their grief, ynwa jft96

Mate, you must have had the worst 11th birthday ever.

Do you know what, for a second I felt a genuine sense of relief when I read that! I was talking to my other half earlier who is also an LFC supporter and I said 3-1. I rarely get it right, but let's hope our predictions come true! I've been so nervous all week!

Agree0 Disagree0

5-0 we're making a statement.

Just watched the second half of the Granada v Barcelona match and Ilori had a great game. I would love him to play a bigger role next season at Liverpool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think a loan out again will help him long term. If he comes back and is only 5th choice again BR might not be so inclined to move him up to a contender for a starting spot the following seasons.
Point is Ilori needs games, don't bring him back if he will get the same lack of opportunities as the likes of Moses, Aspas & Alberto. We have enough Senior CB's for next season although we might need a replacement for Agger to improve our defensive troubles ahead of a demanding season.

As we are being encouraged to dream. I actually did dream that both Chelsea and City lost on the day and we became aware slowly as a city that we where champions. In the dream people start to pour out of houses and head( I think) to Church Street as it became a huge blur of red and white.

Pool of life ref for Jungians

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Redwool - your dream may come to fruition BUT just in case I think you should be taking a bit more water with it

Agree0 Disagree0

Definately jung all the way!
Can't stand all that freud nonsense
He couldn't pass and move like jung!

Agree0 Disagree0

I had a dream that Newcastle at home was a carnival, it was all done and dusted

Good evening Eds 001, 002 and fellow Reds. I just want to pay my respects to those 96 Liverpool fans in the sky who lost their lives 25 years ago while going to watch their idols play a football match and I hope they are resting in peace. I was 16 on that fateful day and was preparing myself to watch Grandstand for regular updates on the game and listen to the commentary on Radio 2. I watched the macabre iconic scenes on TV and then perversely I went to play crazy golf at the local park but all I could think about was fans that had lost their lives and hoped it wast another Heysel because I didn't want my beloved Liverpool Football Club to suffer any more criticism. How wrong could I be? We all know what happened next and the proceeding years and the heartache and turmoil the respective families have endured in the name of Justice. It would be remiss of me not to mention Mr Dalglish at this juncture because well the mans efforts during Hillsborough doesn't need any explanations. There will be justice of that i'm sure and I hope there are severe punishments and my only regret is Thatcher isn't alive to receive hers. I commiserate with the families who lost loved ones but I also salute their strength and resolve they've shown to seek justice. Tomorrow is going to be the biggest game since the 2007 CL final against Milan and I really hope we win for the 96. Eds 001 if you don't post my post don't worry there's no ego here I just wanted to pay my respects. One more question eds 001 I asked you a while back the circumstances of Hodgson's appointment as Liverpool manager and you said words to the effect of he was the only decent available option at the time (sorry if I misquoted you) but I've read many times that the King and Cecil interviewed Pelligrini surely that was a no brainer? Did they offer Pelligrini the job or not? My apologies for the very long post. Enjoy the game tommorow.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - no one else was offered the job. The other options they spoke to couldn't speak English.}

Thankyou eds001 much obliged

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely they would have known that some managers don't speak English before they spoke to them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not about his English, but his lack of passion for LFC. Rafas English was bad, but had the passion, that's what it's all about. Coutinho can't even say Coutinho in English yet :))

Ed fellow reds, another day where I can't eat and even starting to lose sleep . I would love to win tomorrow but if the players are as nervous as I am at the moment .then they will have experienced squeaky bum time, if this carries on I feel I may lose complete control .so if anyone's got any bike clips .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was listening to a local radio station and they said kompany is a doubt for tomorrow due to a injury sustained in training today, that would be a plus for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool have nothing to lose tomorrow but everything to win. No fear said Brendan and I agree. No one would want to play us tomorrow. Forty odd thousand fans and a special 96 with the best seats in the house. The stage is set for the boys to do us all proud.

Ps You can post any time you are ready Red Lobster.

Can see kompany playing if not fit, conceding early and then coming off ;)

He's not even injured. it's a blag!

News coming that Kompany's got injured in training today and will miss th game tomorrow.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

great news if true as he is a rock for them. May be s smokescreen to lower us into a false sense of security, believe it when I see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

My mates just rang who's a city fan and he's nearly crying Lol. Lescot in kompany out is an advantage to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't be surprised if it city are playing a belated april fools.

Agree0 Disagree0

Komoany is said to have collided with Micah Richards in training and fell awkardly .

Anyways apart from being a Rock of Defender, Man City will moss his leadership as we Missed Gerrard's presence in ManCity and the Chelsea game. Always thought we could have nicked those games if Gerrarf was on the field.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see him missing the game

Agree0 Disagree0

My mates just called me to say he will travel with the squad as the doctor isn't overly concerned

Good morning eds,

Morning for me anyway I'm in Boston at the minute. Hope you're all well.

I'm off the opinion of two things firstly, if we stifle toure then we'll stifle city and so lucas should play as he literally marked him out the game under Kenny.

Secondly a win against city and a point against Chelsea and the title is ours.

I think our support has been excellent this year and Rodgers is proving that if you use your brain instead of your wallet then budgets don't matter. I'll be drinking at 9am tomorrow since that's what time is broadcast here in boston, here's to a win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

3 from city and 1 from chelsea would put us in 2nd a point behind city and 2 over chelsea if city win their 2 games in hand. They would still be favourites so we need to either beat both of them or hope they city slip up against everton.

Either way this season is going to go down to the last game of the season and I need some new pants. Ken where can I get a pair of yours?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see city winning every game until the end. Nor us. But I still think that 4 points from these games will give us a title.

Is it just me that would rather face Aguero rather than Dzeko tomorrow?

Red Rum

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am not that bothered about either of them two it is David Silver that has me worried he controls everything man city do on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Yaya Toure might disagree with you albeydered, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear no one, but I am cautious of any player whom needs few chances to score. Dzeko needs an average of 5 chances to score. Aguero only 3.

Nevada

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on then Red-Rum >:-(

Agree0 Disagree0

Toure and silva pull all the strings. Keep them quiet and you can start giving the defence nightmares. Obviously easier said than done though. Hopefully a combination of Lucas and Gerrard can keep them quiet.

Agree0 Disagree0

HI dags congrats on reaching fa cup final you did make hard work of it but your there now so go and win it . yes yaya good player but I think you will find silver is the fella who pulls the strings . we have kept yaya quite a few times over the years mate little jay spearing marked him out of game a few seasons ago so he can be sorted

Hey Eds,

just wondering, with the impressive performances of Jordan Henderson this season, is there any interest from other clubs in buying them and/or would the club be willing to sell him? I really hope he stays because I'm thinking of getting his name on the back of next seasons shirt!

Thanks in advance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in him.}

Get his name on your shirt mate I think he's here forever

Agree0 Disagree0

Had his name on mine since September, the hate it would get.

Following on from the above question Ed02

Could you tell when is the deadline for PL teams to submit squad numbers etc?

I want to get Sturridge on next seasons shirt but I'm thinking that depending on potentials transfers out, he may end up with the no 9 shirt {if offered etc}.

{Ed002's Note - Mid August.}

Hi eds any truth in our interest in toni kroos thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Kroos is well beyond the means of Liverpool unless Suarez is sold to start financing such moves.}
