Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

11 Jun 2017 20:43:47
So everyone is still moaning about transfers.

For starters the window doesn't even open for another 3weeks. Also most moan about us signing that player then moan even more if we don't get them.

Best bit of business was getting solanke done and dusted before the u20 tournament.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

11 Jun 2017 21:24:28
IS he actually done? No chance of this not happening?

11 Jun 2017 21:31:22
Transfer window opened 9th June and shuts 11pm on Thursday, August 31st.

11 Jun 2017 22:10:22
Another person moaning about people moaning lol.

11 Jun 2017 23:43:51
Solanke looks like he could develop into a player, on those wages for a young lad let's hope so.
I thought that Onomah kid from Spurs looked the business though.

12 Jun 2017 05:17:06
Most aren't moaning about transfers but more about the way we conduct our business. Not just illegal approaches but the constant lowballing but pricing out sales of our own players. It's not just been this year either, FSG have consistently done it window after window. Should I say inconsistently done it consistently. Won't pay £35m for a quality player like Salad, would rather muck him about yet again but will reportedly pay up to £40m for Is whose sick for most of the season and mediocre the rest of it.

12 Jun 2017 08:06:02
I wouldn't pay £35 million for a salad either.
It's a bit pricey for a vegeterian meal.
Not sure about us asking too much for our own players, until last season we would typically get rid of players for less than their value.

12 Jun 2017 09:57:49
Don't know what you're moaning about jk82.

Liverpoor fans are a moaning bunch,
With no transfer news to delight 'em.
The moaners then get moaned at,
And so on ad infinitum.

With apologies to Mr Swift.

{Ed025's Note - love it adam..

12 Jun 2017 14:19:23
if we do eventually get Salah he will prove to be a big success.
Lightning quick, intelligent, can score goals- I'm still keepng my fingers crossed that this one goes through.

11 Jun 2017 20:20:32
Do you think Solanke will get many opportunities next season. I really hope he does but where does he sit in line with Firmino, Sturbridge, Origi and Ings!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

11 Jun 2017 21:15:39
I think a loan is best option to aid his development further. I don't think he would get many games if he stays and doesn't go on loan. We also still have Ings who desperately neeeds games.

11 Jun 2017 21:27:44
Huddersfield would have been an ideal loan for him, but I expect them to loan Ward. Abbé someone like Brighton or Bournemouth would be a good shout or even Newcastle?

11 Jun 2017 21:23:16
If were just going to send him on loan, why did he not just stay at Chelsea?

11 Jun 2017 21:28:58
After watching the tournament during the mornings, I'd put him on the bench, fit Sturridge is our best striker. Solanke looked better then either Origi and Ings, but it was a U20 tournament. Mind you, without the pace, he could be a Rashford. As in a young striker who tore up the prem with goals and no fear. If you're good enough you're old enough.

11 Jun 2017 22:20:26
I would be very suprised if he was loaned out, Sturridge will no doubt spend the majority of the season injured (if he doesn't leave), Origi hasn't cemented a place, God knows how Ings will do, I think he will be fighting with those 3 for 2 bench spots with firmino starting.
He could well see himself in the match day squad regularally and maybe start in cup games, I could be wrong but I think he will be in Klopps plans and probably one of the reasons he has joined us.

11 Jun 2017 22:20:49
Why n earth would he leave Chelsea for us, only to go on loan? He could've got a loan to a bang average team from them.

If he has been tempted away from Stamford Bridge by anything, it is the opportunity to get first team football at a big club.

Sturridge in my opinion is going nowhere. Ings likewise but more because he wouldn't have any interest. He will be in the U23's for most of next season regaining form and fitness. Origi for me is in the most danger. Solanke is here to play and Origi is the weakest of our strikers by some distance. I like him but he just hasn't improved enough. Rumours of interest from Europe as well and I think if a good offer comes in, the club will take it.

11 Jun 2017 22:36:04
Forget about Ings and origi neither of them are Liverpool standard. Sturridge and solanke will be our strikers so expect another to arrive and we should be sound up front once Ings and origi are sold.

12 Jun 2017 01:31:02
Very impressed with Solanke today. he showed off all the aspects of his game but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Firmino and Mane and then Sturridge and Origi before Solanke provided there are no more reinforcements. That said, I can see Solanke becoming a first team player for us by the end of this season and long term he could end up being one of the best purchases we have ever made.

12 Jun 2017 04:17:06
Best signing ever? Didn't you just tell us not to get ahead of ourselves Amerigo? ;)

12 Jun 2017 07:45:26
Do not forget at his age Origi was showing well for Belgium in the real World cup. There is no telling how much or how little a young player will improve.

12 Jun 2017 09:59:48
I have a feeling that with Solanke, we may not need to buy another striker. He's a really good talent, and when Sturridge is not fit, just give Solanke a go! He could very well be another Rashford.

{Ed025's Note - good prospect but not ready yet imo robin..

12 Jun 2017 10:14:20
Don't write off Danny Ings.

12 Jun 2017 10:40:01
Sturridge and Firmino are clearly a cut above IMO. Origi has all the tools but still needs to mature. Same for Solanke, and while a little bit behind in terms of experience, might quickly catch up if Origi doesn't watch out. Neither are the finished article yet though.

I love Ings but reality is it's hard to know how quickly he can recover - two years out is a very long time for a professional footballer, and while he can be very effective I suspect was never going to be truly top drawer in the mold of a Costa, Sanchez, Lukaku or Kane, and the injuries make that even more likely now.

12 Jun 2017 12:17:48
Agree ed, posted as much this morning but poor signal meant it didn't get to you. Origi will be way ahead of him in the pecking order tbf. Ed, is it true chelsea reported us for tapping him up or the rag shut stirring again?

{Ed025's Note - its been mooted IAC but nothing confirmed yet mate, if they have then they are cheeky bar stewards as they are the kings at that lark..

12 Jun 2017 08:58:54
Chelsea were right he is not ready for the first team, not sure what assurances klopp has given him but i do not aee him getting more games than origi nxt season.

11 Jun 2017 15:51:09
Hi Eds, would you mind giving us a run down of players you think LFC are looking at and who they may look at. This way maybe some of the indistinct chatter may stop. Cheers Eds.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts, listen to the Sharkopod.}

11 Jun 2017 20:34:55
Sorry but where do i find this sharkpood eds?

{Ed003's Note - http://www.football-news-views.co.uk/podcasts/ }

11 Jun 2017 12:39:00
Eds, forgive me if going over old ground, but those rumours about us talking to Lacazette last week that sprung up say, 10 days ago. did they ever happen?!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

11 Jun 2017 17:28:11
We are not signing a striker this summer. Only a wide player that scores goals on a consistent basis, hence the Salah interest.

11 Jun 2017 19:15:44
journo's have stated Klopp is looking for a high-class striker.

11 Jun 2017 21:37:00
And of course the journos are always bang on the money and are never known to print rubbish to boost sales.

12 Jun 2017 10:15:45
Err except we have already signed a striker subject to tribunal, Buzzer.

12 Jun 2017 10:53:38
Andy, Solanke has been signed for the u23 team initially with a few appearances for the first team from time to time. He won't be a regular for the first team next season.

11 Jun 2017 09:45:07
Morning eds. Youve said regarding Klopp looking at CB's and likely Gomez will be loaned out. With Da Vrij not confirmed are there any others you know of not mentioned please?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure I said that anywhere at all.}

11 Jun 2017 17:02:36
I hope the u20 squad for England that just won the World Cup is kept together and not chopped and changed and put into the senior squad to be completely ruined. Keep them together for the u21 or u23 World Cup and other international tournaments for that age bracket (whatever it's become now) and let them stay together step by step.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

11 Jun 2017 17:14:11
All good in theory, but if someone pushes on in the next two years, and is good enough for the senior team, they will go - that is the point of the youth teams.

11 Jun 2017 19:48:35
Well they will never get anywhere like that, especially internationally.

11 Jun 2017 16:54:09
A lot of reports saying salah to be anounced this week. let's hope its true ay. Also massive well done to the young lions for bringing the world cup home. Fantastic achievement for the young lads.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

11 Jun 2017 13:13:07
Solanke player of th tournament at the u20 World Cup
Well done lad.

Believable24 Unbelievable0

11 Jun 2017 14:46:10
We should sign him up! ;)

11 Jun 2017 15:23:04
Maybe Ojo can have a word 😉.

11 Jun 2017 17:14:29
Probably already has.

11 Jun 2017 12:50:26
Not every9ne, but there was a few of you who claimed the u20 world cup tournament was pointless. As klopp didn't allow someone to go.

Well go and tell these boys that. World champions congrats lads. They have nowbtasted tournament success, what it takes, how to manage yourselves in a tournament. First final for 51 years. Will set us up well over the next ten yesrs.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

11 Jun 2017 13:01:36
Congrats to the young boys, they really deserved that, shout out to onamah, don't know who he plays for but he is going to be a beast.

11 Jun 2017 13:06:56
Onomah is a spurs player, hard midfield to break into.

11 Jun 2017 13:08:57
Who didn't he allow to go? Ojo, ejaria and solanke are all there.

11 Jun 2017 13:09:15
Tottenham.

You have to all promise to do something. Leave these lads alone to develop. No demanding they play. No destroying them for one bad game. Leave them alone. let's see who comes through.

11 Jun 2017 13:17:44
Well done England Under 20's. World Cup Winners

Dominic Solanke won Player Of The Tournament Award
Well done lad . Looking forward to seeing you in a Liverpool shirt 👍🏼.

11 Jun 2017 14:16:48
TAA buddy. To keep him on the bench for us.

Apparently it was a crap tournament where the likes of pongolle looked amazing, so didn't really matter.

11 Jun 2017 15:56:07
May 2017 21:36:40
Haha, the U20 World Cup. I remember when Pongolle was top scorer and Le Tallec was named player of the tournament. I'm sure that experience was invaluable to them.

Jailbot

Not my words.

11 Jun 2017 16:31:24
It certainly meant a lot to the players. You only had to see the Venezuelan players in tears, and the jubilation of the England players to realise that!

11 Jun 2017 16:41:59
Apart from that's all crap and untrue supermane, neither of them achieved that at an U20 World Cup. conversely there are some big names in the tournaments history. messi, pogba, saviola, figo etc.

11 Jun 2017 18:10:46
I know triangle. Why are you trying to educate me :$.

I was congradulating the lads on thier victory and just saying i understand to certain posters that they though ot was a meanigless tournament as they were sayung so when klopp refused to allow trent to go.

That post i posted about pongolle was one of the posters at the time.

Read fella.

11 Jun 2017 11:15:03
Has there been any mention of loan signings to Huddersfield Town? The managers kind of know each other and have similar styles and philosophies.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Jun 2017 11:20:41
What, like Danny Ward for a full season?

Yes, lots.

And wagner worked for Klopp, so they do have a passing acquaintance!

11 Jun 2017 11:50:45
Is ward happening again?

I also heard Wagner attended his wedding reception but only as a +1 😉.

11 Jun 2017 12:03:31
They are best friends.

11 Jun 2017 10:32:56
I think that it is about time that our club needs to get written clarification from the FA regarding how to conduct a possible transfer and what is tapping up. We have been guilty of this from academy through to first teamers. I know that we are not the only ones doing this but at the moment the spotlight is on us. Do it right or don't do it at all. If I was a chairman of another club I would point blank refuse to deal with us. We would gain more respect from other clubs if we negotiated in the right way and quietly.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

11 Jun 2017 10:39:40
We don't need a clarification, is quite straight forward. We just need to start following the rules.

11 Jun 2017 10:32:34
Everyone needs to chill a bit I'd be first to admit that after what's supposedly the clubs first picks in the transfer market the names being linked with us are hardly inspiring but first of all we've only made one signing so far so let's try and wait and see who the club gets before having a melt down for example even the eds who do great work and are well informed didn't know about Vvd about To sign I know it didn't work out because of a total balls up on Liverpools side of things but my point being we really don't know what's going happen till a deal is done and now especially with what happened we might not hear of deal so till there actually done.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

11 Jun 2017 09:24:15
There is interest in Anderlecht's Youri Tielemens according to some local gossip I heard out last night. Does anyone know much about him? Apparently a 19yo that is already class.

Believable0 Unbelievable14

{Ed004's Note - He just signed for Monaco}

11 Jun 2017 09:09:08
Tadic tumour in one paper, lazy journalism or us yet again wanting a lesser target than expected?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

11 Jun 2017 09:24:50
Lazy journalism and I can't see Southampton selling to us!

11 Jun 2017 09:49:54
Hope he recovers.

11 Jun 2017 09:55:36
Lets hope the tumour isn't terminal.

11 Jun 2017 10:05:17
Seriously? I hope he is ok and makes a speedy recovery.

11 Jun 2017 10:29:24
YNWA Tadic 😔.

11 Jun 2017 10:42:35
Going after another sick note, FSG OUT!

12 Jun 2017 10:27:17
I also suspect it may be lazy journalism. With a £13m release clause he represents reasonable value for adding squad depth.

11 Jun 2017 08:55:40
The Solanke deal being looked into by the looks of things now!

Are LFC really that senseless to burden every deal they try to do?

Believable2 Unbelievable5

11 Jun 2017 09:25:21
He was a free agent and able to talk to other parties wasn't he?

11 Jun 2017 09:36:38
Calm down. The media are just preying on the situation. They only care about hits on their page or papers sold. The truth is a rare bonus.

11 Jun 2017 09:58:16
It comes from the Sun I wouldn't worry.

11 Jun 2017 08:51:34
Good luck to Ojo and Solanke today! Come on boys!

Believable7 Unbelievable0

11 Jun 2017 08:22:07
I'm assuming it's all gone quiet on any transfer news Eds because the club are trying to clean up the VVD mess/ leaks etc. Would this be a fair assessment of the situation?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - What are you expecting?}

11 Jun 2017 09:42:35
Not expecting anything really. I'm just asking if the club would likely shelve any transfer plans until their house is in order. Or does the work still go on regardless?

11 Jun 2017 07:54:44
Reports emerging out of Italy that an agreement has been reached for Salah and a deal will be concluding upon his return from International duty. Ed's have you heard anything to suggest this could be accurate? Many thanks.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - This is Twitter is it?}

11 Jun 2017 08:31:13
BeIn sports Italy.

11 Jun 2017 08:35:40
A poster on here claiming to be reliable (Alansbarnet) said exactly this.

{Ed002's Note - That will be on Monday then.}

11 Jun 2017 08:55:57
I can't see it happening, we're not prepared to pay the fee and Roma have queried if we've made an illegal approach.

11 Jun 2017 09:45:36
Who said we'd made an illegal approach Shanks?

11 Jun 2017 10:47:19
Expect Martin's too. Ojo Kent and Wilson out on loan means we have one winger in mane.

11 Jun 2017 17:17:45
Coutonho played all season there so I'm sure even if he plays inside in some games he can still play wide if needed.

11 Jun 2017 03:03:16
When I said lfc was crazy to spend 20mil on Markovic instead of 12mil on Salah, I was mocked when we spent whatever on Balotelli, 35mil on Carroll etc. Just wasting crazy money on players that can't make the bench at any top team. But I've learnt that lfc off and the transfer window is nothing but lots of disappointment and little satisfaction. Still I only love this damn club. Ynwa.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

11 Jun 2017 07:42:42
Maybe people really like mocking you?

11 Jun 2017 10:09:13
The club should employ you KaleIs.

11 Jun 2017 01:05:34
Do we still hold any interest in fosberg?
I read that Milan have bid €18m but they are holding out for 30.
Would be a decent deal for the top assist in Germany last year and plays lw.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The interest of Liverpool dates from an attempt by Brendan Rodgers to purchase the player from Sundsvall when he first arrived at the club - but he opted for Assaidi instead.}

11 Jun 2017 01:23:03
Fair enough m, what a great signing he turned out to Be.

Cheers ed.

11 Jun 2017 08:57:33
Forsberg is a quality player. Quick, skilful, hardworking and can take a dead ball. He won't be Joining is mind you.

11 Jun 2017 00:57:57
I know its early in the window. people are gettingvocal about lack of movement. my worry is our lack of direction and conviction.
We were ready to take vvd cos he was available and seem to be flirting with various options. ideas an prices.
We know what we need. just focus on our targets reqd and get it done.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

11 Jun 2017 01:17:23
We will end up overpaying for VVD but we might have to wait at least a month before any deal happens. The Salah situation is really infuriating. We are only signing one attacking player this summer and yet we are haggling over that one player's cost who would add pace, unpredictability and decisiveness to our attack in Mane's absence. Have FSG and the club forgotten what happened in January when Mane was at the AFCON?
All the other clubs are strengthening around us and we are haggling yet again for quality players. If 'potential' is FSG's go to motto this transfer window as well, LFC is going to be in deeper s**t next season than u think.

11 Jun 2017 04:23:13
maybe they haven't forgotten about Afcon - Salah would also be going so we'll lose 2 wingers!

11 Jun 2017 07:56:26
AFCON is in 2019. Not an issue for the upcoming season. Salah is a player I think will be a solid signing and gives us pace upfront. 35 million is a realistic price worth paying for a goal scoring wide player and FSG should stump up the cash than settle for second rate players like Martins.
In the worst case scenario, if we don't get Salah or Brandt, then I would rather give Ojo and Markovic another shot than spend stupid money on Martins or someone with similar inexperience, or God forbid OX. But knowing LFC, that is exactly what will happen.

11 Jun 2017 09:48:58
indian i was just pointing out you're prior post that afcon will be an issue with mane, your next post now says it isn't.
