Could Fabinho be converted into a centre back, if we are looking at the can from INTER?

He probably could, but why on earth would we do such a thing? If we're signing a CAM, he'd surely displace Wijanldum, Ox or Keita rather than Fabinho.

{Ed002's Note - The player suggested was DM.}

For me that would be trying to put square pegs in round holes. Why take one of the best Dm around and convert him into a centre back. If we need another centre back why not just buy a centre back. If Klopp thinks we need another Dm to compete with Fab then so be it. I know Fab has filled in for us at centre back before before someone says. My comment is clearly on converting him into a full time centre back.

One thing I've learned while klopp been here is that if he buys a player who is known to play a certain position, it doesn't necessarily mean that is where klopp sees him for Liverpool. It just means he has the skill set klopp is looking for.
Ox
Minamino
Gini
Salah
Milner

All played in different positions at previous clubs.

I'm sure he's played there for us already hasn't he? Maybe in a cup game or when we had injury problems?

To be fair, Fabinho has looked good when he has played at CB. He’s calm, defensively sound, is good in the air and physically strong.

Robbie that is absolute tosh mate, sorry.

Of played CM for arsenal towards the end and made no secret he felt it was his best position

Salah has spent his entire career as a winger

Milner whilst he’s played LB for us, it was out of necessity and his main position has been CM, again spent a good portion of his career there

Minamino played on the right for RBL and has played ST for Japan so not sure what you’re referrring to there?

The only major position change Klopp has done has been Bobby who you missed off your list.

That's not tosh shaq. Ox was a winger for most of his career and played there for arsenal. Salah played as a forward with dzeko at roma. Milner was a winger or RM in the 442 days. Gini was an am for Newcastle and mino played centrally for rbl. All play different roles with Liverpool in the main part.

Robbie so do you want to see Fab at centre half full time or you happy with him in the midfield mate. I know he can play both and right back. But where do you see his main position. I see it in midfield as I would rather have Trent at RB and Gomez and Matip ahead of him for the slot alongside VVD and I think Fab is a beast In the midfield.

Fab is a midfielder, a true DM (after being converted from RB at Monaco) and that should be the position he should always play provided we don't need him to step in and do a job at CB, which he already has in a few games last season.

Oh without doubt jk23. He's a dcm first and foremost. The fact he can fill in at rb and cb is just the icing on the cake. Klopp likes players who are versatile. If lovren leaves then I think we need another cb. Whether that's a new player or a youngster stepping up I dunno. My hunch is that vdb, Philips and hoever are not at the level to play pl and cl. Hoever maybe at rb but seems a bit small for a cb.

When fully fit and firing on all cylinders, Fabhino is immense sitting in front of the back four. He can also pick a pass too! He has great ability and can easily slip into CB. £40m ( obviously not including the fees etc ) we paid for him is a steal in today’s market. When you look at Harry Maguire last night, put things into perspective.
