Comolli has now claimed FSG chief John Henry has since admitted he made a mistake in parting ways with him when they did.

"I could see they would be absolutely ruthless if they didn't feel comfortable with something and they were ruthless with me at the time, " he said.

"I think they panicked when they got rid of me and lacked experience. We were on the right path and had the right players and right ingredients.

Damien Comolli has been singing for the longest time that he was fired because of buying Jordan Henderson. He knew from the very beginning that Hendo will live up to be the best thing that ever happened to Liverpool!
Now Comolli is claiming John Henry admitted he made a mistake firing him. I wish the guy would just be quiet rather dripping snake oil all over the place! [Ed001 is a legend! ].

As for Comolli, that is nonsense, he was fired because he was crap at his job. Hendo had been watched by Liverpool and many other clubs (including Man Utd, Fergie even tried tapping him up) since he was a kid. He was captain of Sunderland and very much in demand. He had been Sunderland's young player of the year 2 years in a row and FIFA had named him as a young player to watch for. It is not like it was down to his skill in identifying him. I had been asked about him a thousand times about him on the sites, particularly Man Utd, in the years before we bought him.}
