Thanks ED001, that was really insightful. I was pleased to see Jordan in the top 2. I think his contributions have been more appreciated this season by all and not only LFC fans. He has afterall lifted the CL, WCC, and SC. I think he deserves the PL player of the season accolade. Also he seems to be a very likeable and genuinely humble individual. a quality that often goes amiss in modern day footballers in my opinion.

Liverpool are a brilliant team brilliant but individually there not as good that is why klopp needs so much praise that I don't think he's getting
If this was a pep team could you imagine the football media they would be walking around like 17 year old boys on viagra at a netball match
Klopp is the best manager around at the minute but I don't think his players are individually imo.

With respect, Ed, I don't think there are too many Blades fans who would have Fleck at number 7. It's all about opinion, of course.

I remember the hype about fleck when he was a kid at rangers, then he dropped down to league 1 level (with Coventry, I believe) . Just goes to show you that it can take a while for the brain to catch up to the body as far as football talent goes. With McTominay, McGinn, Maclean, Fleck and even Callum McGregor, Scotland's midfield is the best it's been for a long time (mcstay, Collins and Lambert may have had them beat)

Gianfranco Gola, I agree with your post overall BUT I fully disagree with your notion that our boys are individually not that good. That is not true, IMO. Hendo was already a brilliant footballer before Klopp arrived judging by his 14/ 14 season when he was a key player for us in a season we should have won the PL had we been able to keep teams out. Gini was a Dutch Champion and a key midfielder for Holland in the 2014 WC before he came to England.

Sadio Mane was already a very talented player who just needed better players and a good manager around him to flourish. Even Klopp was on him like a rash and wanted to sign him at Dortmund. Bobbie was a beast at Hoffenhiem, Salah was class at Roma and VVD was just TOO good to stay at the Saints and I can keep going.

IMO, What Klopp has been able to do which is phenomenal is that not only has he turned some of these player to WC players and top Balon D'Or candidates, he has created a great team where the whole is better than some of its parts. IMO, If some of our players were not as good on a basic talent and ability level, Klopp would not be able to create the team he has created.

Thanks Ed, good read. I’m a massive fan of Saul Niguez personally. Would be my no1 choice if we decided to move on Keita. What are your thoughts on him Ed?

{Ed001's Note - he is mainly played in a defensive role, he is certainly not a replacement for Keita. Wrong type of player. He is not going to unlock defences.}
