I know all this conversation about only playing kids, if I was one of the fringe players, or recently returning to fitness I’d be demanding to play to both prove myself and get my match fitness up.

Do you think Klopp would refuse a first team player’s request to play?

Because critchley is going to be the coach on the sideline. He is not matips coach, or Keita's. This has been done to death.

I think he'd absolutely refuse the request.

The whole point of this rather public display is that we want the period to be a rest for the players, as has been agreed by the clubs and Premier League. He's not going to accept one player saying he doesn't need the rest any more than he'd accept a player that the physios can't pass as fit wanting to play anyway.

I don't think our players would go against direct team orders.

Does this mean Curtis will play? Technically he is part of the first team but I'd prefer to see him captain the side.

Why does Klopp take his first team eleven on break leaving his subs we know who they are behind to play in cup when they have played they go on a break? Klopp can take the game then have his few days off every one gets a rest and players get match practise u23s get experience everyone is happy . Shrewsbury deserve to be taken seriously and shown the respect they deserve after their fantastic performance on Sunday.
