I don’t think Salah is being purposely greedy. It’s more that he moves so quick and is single minded about scoring that he simply doesn’t see other players. He’s a tunnel-visioned goal scorer who lacks vision for the game around him. Despite his faults he’s still brilliant though! Annoying but class.

Salah is a brilliant footballer. An international super star and a world class talent, hands down. The scary thing is that he still has a lot to improve in his game which is mad cos he has already improved in leaps and bound since the time we signed him.

Now, Is he selfish or single-minded in front of goal at times? Sure and yes it is frustrating to see BUT in the end, I would rather have him on my team than a player with WAY less ability who is "unselfish".

I'd prefer he get into greedy mode at 2 nil. We don't throw away 2 goal leads anymore.

Redscarface, I do not recall a game where we threw away a two goal lead in the PL since last season. Can you provide evidence of this, pls?

Sometimes looks also like he’s trying to score the perfect goal? Could shoot earlier than he does.

A few days ago, Klopp was asked about Hendo and this is what he said :

“With Jordan, I don’t read newspapers, but I heard that people were not happy with this or this or this and I could then react to that. It’s important that I can say I’m completely happy with the performance even when the public perception is different - you get grades that look like you weren’t really relevant on the pitch and if I see it differently, then I tell it to the players. I know exactly what was expected so it’s the more important feedback. If you fulfilled that job, it’s good.

“If he scores two goals, but other things went wrong for example, then I would tell him as well. That’s what a coach does. I need to know about these things so I can work with it. ”

He could just as easily have been talking about Mo or any other Liverpool player. Klopp selects them with a particular job in mind. If they do it, great. If not, he points out where they must improve. If they don’t improve, they will be replaced. I think we can all trust that Klopp knows what he is doing and leave him to get the most out of the players and select the best team for the game to be played.

Would we be better if we had sancho instead of salah? He’s selfless and always looks for the pass but do we need a greedy player? Would mane get the goals? I think we’d be better but it’s a tough one.

I don't buy it. Salah is a top footballer, he can see a guy 5 ft away in space. Had salah scored we would not be too worried but he would be just as good, if not better if he had three assists instead of one goal.

Had we drawn that game it would've been a massive issue.

I have no issues with Salah being greedy, I think every striker needs to be a bit greedy, its not an issue at the moment because we are winning, the problem may be when we are against the cuff in an important game and he is greedy when there is a better option to score. The other problem is if it causes tension with other players, (I hope that isn't the case), but as said above, i feel Salah can get even better, it is actually frustrating watching him because i do feel he can get better and better. I don't think we should trade any of the front 3, they are all integral to the team, and from what I see from games is they all want to play for us, and enjoy playing together.

I believe we all get frustrated when there is an obviously wide open player and Salah takes on three defenders or a more difficult shot. But it evens out in the end and he is certainly one of the most talented players in world football. He produces game in and out and is actually on a great run of form. I wouldn't trade him for anyone.
