I was marvelling at the pictures and video going round of Liverpool's new facility at Kirkby that is nearing completion.
It's certainly apt that Linda Pizzuti put up a video too, as FSG have done a fantastic job in delivering that, on top of everything else.
From the time that Klopp was appointed the whole club and its set-up has improved enormously.
FSG's other appointments in the club's management have turned to gold too.
Those hit and miss / stop-start days of their initial 4 or 5 years ownership are now a distant memory.
I think it's important to recognise and acknowledge this. I've certainly been critical and sceltical of FSG in the past but since 2015 they've almost been the perfect owners. So absolutely fair do's to them and a huge thank you as well.

Just watched the latest Inside Anfield video . Linda meeting Klopp after the match in the Tunnel is brilliant, she looks like she gets the club more than John . FSG really have stepped past 3 years after quite a sticky start .

She's just more emotionally demonstrative or maybe she fancies Klopp, thinking that he's 'boom'in bed. Poor John. :)

Yep, fair play to them. They know what they're doing eh. Done it before. Whereas city's owners just throw cash at the club. I'd love the kop to turn their backs on the city fans next time we play them. Actually i wouldn't, we're classier than that. But I really hate city doing it.

Perfect people to own LFC. Yes they are business men but they envisioned rejuvinating LFC like they did with the Red Sox. They are well in their way!

City’s owners have invested huge amounts in the area surrounding the etihad, training facilities, academies and giving young players an education in particular, you cannot take that away from them. However they do also spend stupid amounts on loads of players who only come for the money and often look aloof, you can tell there is not the same connection that our players have with the fans, the manager and eachother. They all know full well they don’t have the same fan culture that we have. I find it insane that a team of their quality cannot fill up the etihad every week.

Well if you're going to give criticism when the were messing up then you should be big enough to praise them when they get it right. Things look good at the club, pretty much from top to bottom so they deserve any plaudits that come their way for their part.

Robbie I think City's owners have a fair idea at what they are doing. I think they deserve a little respect for what they've done for City and surrounding area.

City's owners are doing alright mind.
For FSG, they were perfect from day minus 20 or however many days it was before they purchased the club. Again, they laid it out from the beginning but it seemed like majority of fans ignored what they said and we were waiting for money to be splashed and trophies to start falling out of the sky. FSG have been and are awesome for us.

I am a big fan of the owners, however I’m not only very sad at the thought of the 1st team leaving Melwood, I’m pretty annoyed with the club just planning to flog off the land for houses. There are genuine world class facilities there, what an absolute waste and another blow to the local community.

Liddeland, I'm actually watching that whole Inside Anfield clip now.

I don't think city's owners can be criticised, they have been great for the club and the local area. I love our owners, mind.

Yeah, fair enough Irish rover. It was a bit of a throwaway comment. They are in trouble with the fair play rules tho.

But they have been fantastic this last few years. It just goes to show how brilliant klopp and Co have done to catch up and overtake them. They looked set to dominate for years. And I hate to say it. But this league isn't over until its over. With players like aguero and kdb they can catch.

Fair enough. I take my comment back. Not the bit about them turning their backs tho!

Lfc hopeful, when were you last up Deysbrook Lane. I drove up there last week and outside Melwood's gates I was forced to go on the wrong side of the road not knowing what was approaching me. Luckily I got nearly to the end of said parked cars, possibly 50 yards, when a SUV reversed to let me through. The houses opposite Melwood have no driveways thus they park on road. This is exacerbated by a medical centre yards from the entrance with very little off road parking.

To develop Melwood for the public would require a major reshaping of the facility to make an entrance on Melwood Drive.

I live in west derby mate so I go down that road a lot. Interesting you point out roads and access, you think that that’s going to be better with more houses built? Everton sold their ground for houses, there’s houses built on old school properties, there’s houses going up everywhere around here. There’s going to be major redevelopment one way or another, ripping up pristine playing surfaces that are flood lit, knocking down changing rooms and physio rooms and canteens and a swimming pool, it’s madness.
