Big difference between the team that started against Villa and tonight. This is our reserve team abd the one against Villa was our under 18. Regardless im proud of how the attitude everyone showed today as well as against Villa. The fans were superb today. Genuinely Believer.

Ed what did u think of William and Larrouci. I think they did ok. Specially William keeping up with Richarlison. If these two keep working hard and improve on todays performance then we are sorted at the full back position. Williams showed some shades of Taa today.

{Ed001's Note - Williams was excellent, put in some good deliveries as well. Difficult to judge his defending though, as he was not exactly pushed! Really impressed with him though.

Larouci looked good going forward but lacked awareness defensively and got caught ball watching a few times. Something that will have to improve if he is up against a better side.}

Most of their chances in the first half came down Larouci's side but he was thrust in at moments notice.

I think Williams was excellent, good delivery, generally did well defensively when he had to and grew in confidence as the game went on.

It wasn't that different dzekykid. I don't actually think Everton will go down and I really hope they stay up. But I do hope they are biting their nails all season.

What did you make out of Mino’s debut Ed?

{Ed001's Note - it was ok. He worked hard but he has yet to build an understanding with the others and it showed. Decent enough for a first appearance though.}

Didn't klopp say something about minamino not being overloaded with instruction just yet. The runs he makes and his interplay around the box, I think it's a guarantee that he'll be a star here.

Remember the windows when we would sign 5/ 6 players and hope that 2 or 3 would work? Ridiculous. Apart from karius (who did help us to a cl final and was an improvement on migs) I don't think there's been a bad signing. Grujic is different. I thought klavan was really good towards the end of his spell at liverpool. I guess dom solanke didn't work out but we made a load of cash and helped his career. He could still be languishing in the Chelsea reserves but is now a premier league player. I still believe he's going to come good. Loving our recruitment these days. City paid 50mil for mendy. We got robbo, shaq, mina and matip for around half that.
