IMO priorities for this season are;

League
CL
FA cup
League Cup
WCC

Personally I'd rather see us put a rotational mix of experience and youth for the bottom three (not all youth as want to keep winning mentality) . Trent got thrown in at OT and look where he is now. Give the kids a chance in certain games but like against Arsenal add some experience around them.

Next couple of months are going to be one hell of a ride with all these fixtures. Let's look forward to and enjoy them as we are lucky/ worked very hard to be involved!

there is only one priority this season IMO league. We will never have a better chance. Next season City and Chelsea will be better we have to get this over the line.

Another CL run would be great but the league is the only thing that matters for me.

Yeah I'd agree with that Mark, the league over any other trophy, at any cost. We must go for it this season. Great start and it can be a perfect finish if we continue. I hope we win every game no matter the competition but I want full focus on the league, bugger the micky mouse cups, it'd be nice to get one I suppose but who really gives a damn? I couldn't care less tbh. Many claim they do which I don't get, yes it's silverware but at what expense? Bugger that crap.

The only good thing for the silly cups is that the youngsters get their chance to shine which is great, good luck to them but let the big boys handle the league and be injury free with full fitness!

If you could guarantee me the League then I would say scrap everything else right now. The issue is that it never works like that. I think we just need to go into each game and try to win, no matter what the competition. Rest and rotate players where necessary and hope to stay injury free and in form. Its tough going having all these games and the expectation on the club and players but certainly better than what we have had to endure in years gone by, out of the League race by Christmas, no Champions League, knocked out early of League and FA cups. Winning, in any game is the best habit to have.

I echo those thoughts gents. I would be happy to go out of every cup right now if it guaranteed the League title. Winning breads winning mentality though and I think it was proven midweek when our young / reserve side came back from 2-4 down to win the game against a very good side Arsenal put out.

Of course the league is by far the number 1 priority but I also feel we are more than able to manage all cup fixtures too with a level of importance. Last season we played a full CL campaign with maximum amount of fixtures while also performing so strong over 38 league matches. FA cup is played on weekends without fixture congestion while just 3 more games in the league cup would see us to a final. Our squad has much more strenght this season with Origi, oxlade Chamberlain, lallana, fabinho, Brewster, matip all playing plenty minutes when this stage last year most hadn't even featured or either saw little game time. With Hoever, VDB, Williams, Jones, Elliot also offering us rotation when needed I think we can combine league consistency with strong cup runs.

I remember last year many fans were calling for us to play weakened team in CL knockout stages and only focus on the league, how silly that decision would have been. Winning is a habit and were currently showing that we have that never say die attitude and cup runs can only aid that winning mentality throughout every member of the squad.

The league is the priority this season clearly. But CL schedules alongside PL are the issue which needs to be fixed. Games need to be rescheduled to give teams in CL enough recovery time to enable teams to compete.
