It’s actually quite funny scrolling through the match posts after the game. Everyone’s getting slated, game over after 30 mins, may as well just tell the opposition we’re throwing the cup. some people! I reckon we should have started a full strength 11, especially bearing in mind we have two games a week until the end of the year now (and one more to fit in somewhere! ) (and a trip to the club World Cup)

It was a strange game. Some of the poorest players on the pitch ended up producing the business. Thought origins as dreadful most of the game and comes up with 2 goals. ox was poor and scored an absolute screamer. Gomez started poor but improved second half. Even Milner didn't have a good game. Thought Lallana was terrible Keita poor and off with another injury and that's the players that should be fighting to get into the first team. Haven't seen much of the youngsters before but Williams impressed. As did Jones when he came on. If we had of gone out I certainly wouldn't have wished that we had put out a stronger team. I think it's a great opportunity for players to get important match experience. The only disappointing thing for me. Is I didn't walk away thinking that any one player tonight deserves a place in our starting 11. Another win and we keep marching on.

I'm honestly happy we've persevered with the youngsters in the competition, tonight has been a good lesson for all of them. Kelleher could have done better with most of their goals - despite that he comes away having contributed significantly to our progression in the competition. Part of the idea is to give them experience, tonight you'd argue that Ar.

Posted before I'd finished, sorry. I was going to say you could argue that arsenal deserved it, but we still won. I think that in itself could be beneficial for all of the younger players.

considering that the gunners put out a strong team and a strong bench, I didn't think we would win this game, boy I was wrong, some great and late goals, ha yes another late late goal, tomorrows draw will be interesting
City will get the easy draw, Oxford, lucky lucky,
we will get Everton or Leicester for sure, unlucky.

Learning curve and some time under the belt, what impressed the most was a not giving up mentality .

Bring any of them on, who cares who we get, we're Liverpool and we're capable of beating anybody. If we went and got Oxford there's no guarantee we'd win. Same goes for City. I'm hoping we get Everton.

People are quick to forget we're champions of Europe. Believe.

You knew City and United would get the easy teams.

{Ed047's Note - I don’t think Colchester United will have it that easy mate.

It’s a potential banana skin for them! 😉
