today is Klopps 4th year anniversary, it is amazing on how different he made us in just 4 years.

I think the message here is that it had taken him 4 years to get where we wanted to be. Whilst Klopp always showed steady and noticeable improvement it still needed patience and belief. Not many managers get that luxury.

Looking forward to Ole's 4th year at Manchester United, Salford may have overtaken them by that point.

the patience is easy when you can see obvious trajectory the club was on.

Agreed Faith - he’s been methodical about his vision and focus building the current team to what it is. Yes some moments of learning too, but I’ve never doubted in those 4 years the club was on a journey of continuous improvement.

There were some posts a couple of years ago from a few about Klopp always coming second etc. however I’ve always believed if you focus on continually improving the performances, the trophies will eventually follow. Thank god the management have kept the faith.

I have said it many times before. The day Klopp agreed to come to us, was the day our luck changed for the better. I did not need to see what he would/ could do. I just knew if allowed to do his job, we would come good. What game convinced me of this? When we went to the Etihad and ripped City and Pellegrini a new one, a game where The Bobbie Dazzler was born. Right there, I knew we've got something here. It'll take a while to to get there BUT we've got something here. All Hail The Normal One.

Absolutely right. I remember only 2 years ago the media was full of how ‘Klopp can’t organise a defence’ as we’d been beaten by city 5-0 and Spurs 4-1. What they didn’t realise is that he was waiting for the right personnel to a) available and b) attainable.
That’s the best thing about the way this has been done. Gone are the days when we will just throw money at all and sundry hoping that they will come good (a la Everton right now) we have a very clear plan and won’t waiver from it. If the right players aren’t there we do nothing.

It’s also easier to be patient and not overpay/ jump at the wrong deals when your squads already in good shape (as Man Utd are finding out now.

Klopp has also been brave in that even when he came in he warned the fans that it’s not just about signing players, it’s also about being patient enough to develop the talent that’s already there and work on the squad you already have. A slower process but one that builds commitment, loyalty and resilience.

A lesson for every manager both in football and outside.
