A good way to start the week is to have a look at Garth Crooks team of the week. Always provides plenty of amusement.

Here's a pear from this week:

"Whenever Joel Matip plays for Liverpool he appears to be the one who is making all the last-ditch tackles, getting the ball smashed in his face and coming to Liverpool's aid in a crisis.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk looks beautifully groomed, hair swept back in a ponytail, strolling around looking like he's just returned from a week in Vegas! Matip must get Van Dijk to do his share of the heavy lifting when the Reds are up against it away from home. ".

Wassa, you are right. Crooks does provide great amusement to start the week. Have a good week, man.

This is the guy who advised klopp to buy Dunk for £45m!
I cannot read his column anymore but thanks for making me smile Wassa-lfc.

If the best measurement of how good you are is how hard you make the game look, I’d definitely be playing for Liverpool.

A sensible person would just say that both VvD and Matip complement each other very well as a CB pairing. Garth Cooks should know one of the CBs always has to hold back to hold the line while the other plays on the front foot.

He should also know that having to make last ditch tackles is more often than not due to being out of position in the first place. Making the game look easy is reading the game with a good positional awareness.

What would Crooks know about defensive football and CB's when he "advised" Klopp (YIKES) to sign the brilliant Lewis Dunk, as KK7 already mentioned (didn't know that one, mate. That is just bonkers)?
