Prediction for the upcoming season ladies and gents. Guardiola going to have a serious wobble and end up in China where he belongs, City finish 3rd. Lamps will get Chelsea 4th, Spurs will finish 7th. Can see Arsenal coming second about 15 points behind us, Wolves 5th. United will sack Ole after they finish in their favored position, 6th.

1st: Liverpool
2nd: Man city (I'm optimistic going in, but who knows with these two. I think a full season of Fabinho might be the difference, but let's see)
3rd: Spurs
4th: Arsenal
5th: Chelsea (Going through a rebuild, but may do well long term with the youth introduced)
6th: Toss up between Man U, Wolves, West Ham and Everton.

I see it being a very close one again between us and City, I won't sit here this time and say we'll go and win it because who bloody knows but we have as much of a chance as anybody. For all we know Everton will go and win it, in this league you just never know but imo, again, it'll be us and City right up there with the rest way behind.

Wouldn’t look past City to be honest. Silva, Silva and De Bruyne can get their way out of tight games, we lack that invention when teams park the bus, we’ll be close, but not quite there.

Matr - city third, Chelsea 4th - are you saying arsenal second?!

Always welcome your positivity Salah mate, keep it coming.

My fear is losing ground early on, we play Norwich at home on the 9th, Chelsea in Istanbul on the 14, saints away 3 days later then Arsenal at home the following weekend.

That’s a tough start with potentially Mane missing for a few of those games.

City top spot for me again this season, they have the squad depth to go all the way again. I think we will finish second, I actually see Spurs pushing us for second place , I think they will spend this window.

Salah, i don't know why mate but your post made me a little sad. I rely on your optimism to get me through the moments of doubt. don't let people put out your spark brother, its admirable mate.

We WILL win this league and i agree that it will be close again between us and city. I am a little worried about the availability of the three musketeers after a long summer and i can see us losing the community shield (and lfc fans going into meltdown) but a strong season i think.

I think we'll have a slow start due to the late arrivals in the squad. Don't think we have Cities bench either. I would think we come second again this year, but win something like the FA Cup.

My opinion is that Liverpool will struggle to achieve what they done last season. Klopp has done a really good job but I personally think you need to refresh parts of the team or you get "found out" I can't see us getting the points total or within 1 point of the League Champions.

LIverpool 3rd or maybe even 4th this season. Man City to win the league again. Wolves and Everton to challenge for the top 6.

Spurs struggled early part of last season because of WC.
they now scrambling doing some good business in the market because not strengthening their squad set them back 13 losses last season.
if we fail to strengthen, we might end up like them.
Missing Mane, Salah, Allison, Firmino is a MAJOR loss.

Say

Trent gomez vvd robbo

Hendo fabhino gini

Salah firmino mane

Start, we could have a bench of

Migs
Lovren
Milner
Aoc
Shaqiri
Origi.

Thats not a bad bench. Creativity, strength, determination. A guy who scored 3 huge goals in the last 2 champions league games. And there are still

That still leaves

Brewster
Matip
Lallana
Im missing a cm?
Not to mention wilson, kent, larouci lewis. Im surprised villa haven't looked at wilson

Eds, has there been much interest in wilson and kent? Sorry if this has been asked guys.

{Ed001's Note - there has been a fair bit of interest in both but not at our asking price yet. There is always the option to loan them out available though, which is looking more and more likely.}

I can see it being a close battle btw us and City however, I have this feeling that neither team will surpass or reach their points totals for last season.
