Congrats to Everton for signing the no nonsense midfielder Fabian Delph for £8.5 million plus another £2 million if they win any silverware or qualify for Europe.

Two utterly mediocre players signing for a mediocre team. This is what that club does, signs the junk from big teams that can’t wait to get those players off their books. Walcott, Sigurdsson, Delph, Gomes, Digne (who is actually quite a useful player I concede), Bernard.
Ed025 must be rubbing his hands together at the thought of Everton playing out their skins against us next season, then losing 1-3 to Aston Villa in the same week as usual.

{Ed025's Note - if gomes signed for liverpool he would be your best midfielder lowel and you know it, all your guys are work horses who,s job is to defend and win the ball back with no intention of actually creating something, they get rid of the ball asap and thats fair enough and quite effective if a little boring, we know we are not the finished article yet mate and are building for the future..

In our playing system/ formation, he has no chance of starting. Our midfielders are very effective in what Klopp tries to achieve. And technically, Keita n Fabinho are better than Gomes IMO.

At the risk or getting slated, I actually think Gomes is really decent and Delph wasn’t bad when actually used at CM and not fullback (a while back now I guess)!

I’m also of the opinion the £31m for both could be great business for Everton.

I think Ed1 mate you're being very generous saying he's a good championship level player lol, I don't even know about that mate hahaha but on a serious note, I just really don't rate the lad and I never did, he does literally bugger all and runs around like a headless chicken. I'm glad he's at Everton is all I'll say.

{Ed001's Note - he is alright, he is strong and a decent passer with a nice touch but he has the mobility of a stubborn donkey and the turning circle of an oil tanker. Not sure partnering him with a player who can barely make it through a match without pulling a hammy is the best decision either. They need Gueye and the youngsters to do his running as he has all the movement of Ed025 at the end of a night out (and the gut to match).}

Tbf Ed I think our midfield Gini Hendo Milner Kieta have more goals and assists than your CM’s last season so can’t really say they don’t create anything mate. I’m all for good banter and it seems some are on the edge of taking it to far with you mate tbh imo. The Eve are a decent team and strengthening for next season but to say Gomes is better than any of our Midfielders is questionable to say the least.

{Ed025's Note - hes certainly more creative virgil, liverpool,s midfield are all ball winners and grafters mate but thats what klopp wants and it works...having 2 great full backs and a prolific front 3 helps i think..

I think there's a bit of a misconception regarding lfc's midfield. Henderson and milner are very decent passers. Keita and fabhino are good passers. No they're not ultra creative but hendo and milner are usually involved in most good things we do.

And lol@ "the turning circle of an oil tanker"! I'm sure i've heard it before but ill have to remember it.

Ed25, there is nothing smug about my post. It is you who are getting triggered for no reason. I mean, was it not two summers ago where your team were mouthing off to everyone about the players you signed and how that season was your year to bust into the top 4 after spending 145m on Pickford, Walcott, Klassen, Keane, etc and you had won the "Summer Transfer Window" trophy according to your own fans and the media? Can you remind me what happened that season? Yeah, exactly. Stop being so triggered, my friend. it's just banter.

As for LFC next season, I have no expectation that we will get 97 points and I think City won't either so for me, the season will bring what it will bring and all we can do is hope that we can get over the hump this time.
