Ed001, apologies if this has been asked but I couldn't see anything on it. Has Ryan Kent forced his way into Klopp's plans? A lot of reports are stating Klopp wants him in the squad for next season. I've seen a lot about Wilson being for sale because he doesn't work hard enough, but Kent despite being less clinical in the final third does actually work a lot harder.

Just today, the official club social media page has posted a video of training goals that might as well be a Ryan Kent highlight reel! Just wondering if he's done enough in training to be considered or if the reports are jumping the gun and we've actually rejected a loan offer because we want to sell him permanently!

{Ed001's Note - we have been trying to sell him and Wilson. There is the option of a loan back to Rangers available if no sale can be found. Though any player always has the chance to change minds if he puts in the effort, Origi did last season, so it is not inevitable he will go.}

Just my opinion but Kent and Wilson are a long long way off the standard required for this current LFC squad. Kent I don't think is a premier league player.

We will probably see a lot of The window finished by the time we leave America, I can only assume we won’t be able to sell both as price tag too high so Kent will go back to rangers and Wilson will go to a prem team.

{Ed002's Note - Life continues regardless of where the players are TSR.}

Very true Ed01. Brendan Rodgers tried to use a certain player as part of a deal to get Clint Dempsey many moons ago. That player captained Liverpool to number 6 thanks to his never give up attitude and fighting spirit. Quality will only get you so far, mentality does the rest.

Is one or the other ‘ahead’ in terms of staying and earning a spot? Seems Kent has a better work ethic but Wilson is a better player?

I think kent is close to being a big player for us. Maybe not a starter but he's moving in the right direction, no doubt. I don't doubt he could do a decent job for many premier league teams but i wouldn't mind keeping him. I think gerrards interest in him speaks volumes too. I really think he would come on a lot training with the first team regularly. After brewster i think he's the best youngster we have (not counting gomez or trent) and with us being a tad short up front id give him the season. Doubt it'll happen. We played a strong bayern in pre season a year or two ago and kent was fantastic in that game. Ran the bayern defence ragged.

Robbie, anyone can have a once in a lifetime great game in pre-season, just look at how well Vorinin did one pre-season. Kent is 22 now and all he's got is pace and dribbling ability. His decision making is erratic, he doesn't pose a consistent threat on goal and he lacks end product. I think he's another player who's unfortunate not to have been a little younger, so his time in the youth team would've coincided with Klopp's reign. Klopp is definitely a lot better at managing young players development than Rodgers.
