Hey Ed25, you sure do a lot of smack talking for someone who has continued to be on the receiving end of Origi's immense talent as a goalscorer and the Bitters'Tormentor-In-Chief. No matter, tho. I admire your ability to stil be in denial of what is in front of you. I guess that makes ou sleep better at night, lol.

{Ed025's Note - we were you know drogie, when we won the title in 87 we were an excellent side and i believe if we had the chance to compete in the european cup then we would have had a good chance to win it mate, unfortunately english teams were banned after heysel so we will never know, but its nice to dream..

You were an excellent side mate but as history states, the best team in Europe doesn’t always win so whilst being banned Disney help, there were no guarantees.

What happened in Heysel was just horrendous, I had friends in the crowd that fateful night, there’s certainly two sides to that debate, probably best not discussed on here to be fair mate.

Football hooliganism was rife in the 80’s as you know, Liverpool fans certainly weren’t the worst, I have two cousins that were, shall we say, high up in the ICF with West Ham and you wouldn’t believe some of the things they got up to.

I also have mates that were in involved in the battle of Everton valley, a bloodbath when United came to town, with Liverpool and Everton fans joining forces.

People tend to forget or are completely oblivious to the fact that Liverpool were not the only team that had a firm chasing havoc on the terraces mate.

You Blues should just know your place. Which is definitely not in any type of European competition. Or any final of any competition come to that.

We were banned because the ground chosen to host a European final wasn't fit it safe enough to host a 5 a side kick about. Plus the Italian fans tried to kick it off with us and couldn't handle the situation when we reacted. Then the lack of safety in the ground took its toll.
