Origi has signed a new long term contract.

{Ed025's Note - bloody hell you must be gutted..

10 Jul 2019 18:48:39
Why would anyone be "gutted" Ed025? Anyone upset that a kid whose clearly worked his arse off to get himself back in the reckoning, to then be rewarded for his work (and the vital goals he got along the way) needs to get a new "hobby".

{Ed025's Note - lets be honest irish its very underwhelming for the supporters mate, if i was a red i would be looking to offload players like divock and get a bit of quality in, but it would be a boring old game if we all felt the same i suppose..

2.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 18:52:07
Jordan Pickford’s definitely gutted Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - that was his only assist of the season 6 times.. :)

3.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:04:26
I’m with you ed25, I honestly don’t think he’d get in the Everton team.

{Ed025's Note - he would,nt even get on our bench pegleg...and we are desperate for a forward mate..

4.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:22:14
Ed025 is just peed off cause he know's Divock is going to gun Everton down lad's😁.

{Ed025's Note - i actually want him to start games for you barry.. :)

5.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:32:04
To be fair to Origi, he's not the world's best footballer but he's done pretty well when called upon and I'd rather give him a chance than pay £30m for someone to warm the bench. He must know he's going to be on the bench for most games and if he's cool with that then he deserves some respect from the supporters.

6.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:36:17
Too bad Pegleg, you need to deal with it because he's here for a long haul! Can't wait for you to eat your words!

7.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:40:06
I'm happy. Brendan Rodgers said that Origi was going to be World Class.

8.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:57:45
Brendan Rodgers was wrong.

Origi is Galaxy Class.

9.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:14:40
Origi has got numerous important goals this season coming off the bench. We have been crying out for years for someone who can change a game when they come on, if origi continues to score important goals I don’t think you can ask for much more from a second striker.
Plus I think he is 24 so still time to improve to.

10.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:23:45
He’s not an amazing player, but for Liverpool he just has a knack. maybe a long term super sub, but three shots in the CL, two to send us through one to win it.

There’s just something about him in a red shirt.

11.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:44:18
I think origis is wgat ole was for United late important goals.

12.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:52:51
2 against Barcelona in semi for the champions league winners, 1 in the final, loves a goal against everton, that alone is worth a new contract .

13.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:55:14
Origi is give or take a 1 goal every 3 games for Liverpool. That's decent for a player who doesn't start regularly. Every successful team needs a player that can come off the bench or play now and then and score goals. OGS did it for years at Manchester United.

14.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 21:15:43
Didn't the Belgian coach say he's the most talented player he's worked with, bearing in mind the talent at his disposal, that's a complement.

15.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 21:51:16
Bill dean never got close to a European trophy let alone scoring in the final to lift the trophy. His claim to fame was to score 60 goals in one season 1927/ 28. Not fit enough to lace big divs boots.

16.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 22:01:44
He was getting some sort of form til he was stamped on in the derby a couple of years back. The lad is akin to Lucas not liked by many ridiculed by some but is 100% committed . I can’t believe ed25 thinks DCL and tosun are better😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️. It’s hard to shine in the shadow of our front 3 but he has tried his head never drops rewarded with a end of season dreams are made of.

17.) 10 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 22:19:57
origi is the everton "giant" killer. hasn't he scored like 10 goals against them? :p.

18.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 00:21:26
I don't get the hype regarding origi, he scored 3 massive goals for us in what seems like 100 years, and is literally poor any other time, in those particular games he was poor bar the goals, if that is worth a new and improved 5 year deal then I'm baffled, he's not at the level he should be to play for liverpool, very underwhelmed.

19.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 00:22:44
He delivered at crucial times when it was needed. He's as valuable as anyone else on the team, as a backup striker/ winger.

20.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 00:23:40
Origi isn't very good. If we need to rely on him for a stretch of games he will be exposed. Scored some important goals but he's poor.

21.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 00:28:09
Origi isn't the worst player in the world but let's be honest he's not what a title winning team should be relying on as back up. Stop being biased and call it like it is.

22.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 00:24:57
The comments from Klopp say it all. Origi was hitting his best form for us when Mori took him out (and was subsequently red carded for the challenge) . By the time he returned to fitness he couldn't get a game because we were flying and his confidence was completely shot when we sent him to Wolfsburg to catch games. With fitness, patience from the staff, lowered expectations from the fans and a hell of a lot of hard work on his part, divock showed the form Brendan only hoped for. Sure, some of it was luck, or bad goalkeeping, but I'd say the lad is due! I'm excited to see Origi stay and I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the pitch a lot more often this season. Think it was the correct decision to resign him; athletically and mentally he is the strongest he's ever been for us.

23.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 02:40:56
Evertons bench must be pretty good you know. to reject a guy who scored so many winners for us last year. and those two goals against barca. and a goal in ucl final.

{Ed001's Note - if Everton had a player as good as Origi to come off the bench they might have won something rather than finish mid-table.}

24.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:45:40
Cenk Tosun 39 games 8 goals
Origi 20 games 6 goals

As long as big Origi keeps popping up with important goals then I'm happy enough. 😁.

{Ed025's Note - and thats why we are getting rid of tosun irish, mediocrity should never be tolerated mate..

25.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:54:45
Bit harsh Ed025. Entitled to your opinion mate but he isn’t that bad a back up player! Scored some useful goals last term including the CL Semis and Final itself. I’d rather have Divock as back up to our magnificent front 3 than Cenk Tossup or Calvert Lewin.

{Ed025's Note - calvert lewin needs to improve his finishing virgil but is miles better than divock mate, origi has had some really good cameo,s and if its written into his contract that he never starts a game maybe its not a bad move..

26.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 19:56:26
Look Ed when all's said and done he'll be a ok option from the bench.

{Ed025's Note - yes barry hes an option when things are not going so well i suppose, its just that when you look at the city bench you see names like silva, jesus, gundogan etc....then you look at the reds bench and it looks like something from a carry on film mate.. :)

27.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:29:24
Klopp has said what some of us saw last season, and that's that big Div has worked extremely hard to earn the back up forward slot. I'm more than happy with him covering left wing and cf this season, and if ed25 thinks benchwarmer Walcott is better, he's had one too many shandies over the last 90 years. :)

{Ed025's Note - thats the thing rugby, walcott is not good enough so i want him to go asap, yet the red apologists are trying to make a case for divock to stay even though they know hes not up to scratch mate, by the way i dont do shandy its real lager or nothing for me mate...im a bit of a snob when it comes to beer.. :)

28.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 20:32:26
Ed025, Origi surely a better option for LFC on the bench than Calvert cough cough.

{Ed025's Note - hes not you know max, DCL will turn out to be a very good player i think as he has all the attributes except he needs to improve his finishing mate..

29.) 11 Jul 2019
10 Jul 2019 21:39:02
True Ed025 it could be seen as underwhelming but none of us see him every day so he must be doing something right. I still reckon another forward will join as for who that will be I've absolutely no idea.

{Ed025's Note - i say good luck to the guy irishman, maybe he will come good...and maybe everton will win the european cup mate.. :)

30.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 06:26:23
They did have Cenk Tosun and Calvert Lewis Ed001on bench Ed lol, both better than Divock in Ed025 eyes.

{Ed001's Note - which is why he supports Everton....}

31.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 09:44:24
if we had unlimited funds would we switch Origi, we probably would. But in regards of the team I think finding cover/ competition for Robbo and TAA is far more important.
When we had to play Milner there, who is trusted to defend, we lose a weapon in attack which means less space in midfield as the RB/ LB isn't pulling a midfield player away. That's why I think we struggled in certain games last season.
Origi, as it stands, is happy to compete and scores big goals for us. I say he deserves a season and if it doesn't work out, he has four years left of his contract and someone will buy him next summer. I think it's smart business and doesn't do an Arsenal that allows him to walk away for nothing next year.

32.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 09:48:31
ha some of the replies from Ed25 are superb. DCL will be nothing more than he is, he's 22 now if you had signed him you would be kicking off that he's rubbish and booing him around October time again, he just won't ever score enough to move you on from where you are blinkered (same as you to our fans on origi) .

Origi is by no means a great option but at the same time why would we be spending 60-70 mil for someone to be a sub 80% of the time?

yes City have a better bench but as one of the other Eds has said, there is a lot of moaning about this.

33.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 11:30:55
Calvert Lewin hahahahaha, never seen him have much of an impact on more than 5 games if I'm being generous, he is more a Sunderland player.

34.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 08:42:26
Could all happen Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - im sure it will irishman...just not in my lifetime mate..

35.) 11 Jul 2019
11 Jul 2019 15:21:42
Haha i doubt it ed01.even lord divock won't be able to save them!

{Ed001's Note - fair point.}

36.) 12 Jul 2019
12 Jul 2019 12:40:54
ed25s glasses are as blue as ours are red! that's the point tho aye guys and girls!?
