Morning Ed

'150 hours of community service' sounds about right but it's bloody disgusting. I wish to Christ these thugs would get more of a punishment, I think half of the time they WANT to get more of a punishment by acting the way they do, repeating their idiotic behavious, yet all we do is give them x hours community service, a slap on the wrist and tell them to jog on and not do it again. It's an absolute fu**ing joke, the whole system is messed up. Does my bloody head right in.

Have a great day mate.

{Ed001's Note - a one year ban is hardly a deterrent either. Hardly going to stop the next divvy having a dig is it?}

I agree Salah - they talk about constantly dealing with the problems like that, the never deal with them. It's so annoying, and 'sentences' like this mean there is no deterrent whatsoever.

I know Ed mate, it should be a lifetime ban imo. Shouldn't be around normal people trying to enjoy themselves, get them out for good!

Surprising to me that 63mil is city's record transfer fee.

So those who complain that city have this endless wealth and can always throw an extra 10/ 20/ 30 mil at transfer targets to ensure they get their man. We have signed players (or player) that are more expensive. And have signed another couple for similar fees.

Ed01, do you think 63mil for felix is about right? Is it a bargain? Or have they over paid?

{Ed001's Note - but they have spent more since their takeover than we have spent in our entire history. Just because they are not spending it on one player is irrelevant. When you consider they have spent even more on the infrastructure of the club as well, they spending is incredible.

Felix? Felix cost over 100m and went to Atleti.}

Just to add; i thought they paid 70 odd mil on mahrez?

{Ed001's Note - 60.}

Agree totally with those sentiments Salah, the prick has obviously not learnt his lesson and is becoming a serial offender.
Good luck to Conor Masterson at QPR.
How crazy is it that some footballer's wages could cover the running of a entire football club, or at least pay off a substantial amount of a clubs debt? when will this madness end?

Sorry ed01, my mistake.

Do you think 63mil for Rodrigo is a good deal/ bad deal?

And when you put city's spending in that context ed01, then peoples comments on their wealth are totally justified. Spent more since their takeover than we (the mighty liverpool) have in our entire history! Crazy.

Thanks ed01, and thanks for the reply mate. Have a nice day.

{Ed001's Note - Rodri is excellent, not quite Saul, but he is a lot younger. Imo Atleti have made a big mistake letting him go.

You do have to put context into the spending to be fair. We spent big on Dalglish, for example, but it was only £440k so not a lot in today's money. Though they are partly responsible for the increase in player values too so that needs to be taken into account. Also they had to spend big in a short period to catch up.

They have bought the league, just like Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd have done in the past, but it is by buying well, not just because they have spent lots.}

Great review though I think Peru getting to the Copa America final for the first time in 44 years is worth a sporting mention! Everyone loves a good underdog story! ( I have a soft spot for them as my Mum comes trom Peru)

{Ed001's Note - they were playing when I put it together so I couldn't include it.}
