That is a brilliant profile piece on Jurgen but it could go further.

No mention of his issues on tapping up and alleged broken promises on playing time for certain players or on the fantastic effort Klopp has made in uniting the club and its fans.

Also Klopp’s relationship with the owners is important in the scheme of things.

Madrid seems to me to be a really important place in our journey with Klopp but it’s hopefully no where near the end of the line and plenty of good times are ahead.

{Ed001's Note - none of that is within the remit of the profiles, it is not really relevant in this instance. Particularly the broken promises, they would be in every profile as every manager has done it.}

Spot on analysis. I suspect you had to cut this article to about 10% of what you could have written!

The only thing I think you missed out is how good a people person he is. There are other manager’s with similar skill set but for me what really sets him apart is his hug giving love and loyalty to his chosen players.

{Ed001's Note - that is not really that stand out, Poch is similar in that respect, he is just less overt with it. Most modern day managers are now on that route.}

Nice one Ed001, thanks for that mate.
I think we saw a slight improvement in his substitutions this past season. And like you said if he has even better/ more trusted players on the bench next season that could improve even more. I try hard not to wonder if we'd have won the league with a left-foot rocket from Fekir off the bench at Old Trafford, Goodison or the London Stadium. Pointless, I know, but our bench next season should be tasty with just one or two signings.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

All this broken promises crap, the players aren't kids who havn't got the toy they wanted for their birthdays they're grown men. Most bosses in every walk of life break promises or lie to their staff. For all we know players were probably told they'd get chances but then dipped in training or weren't matching their rivals for a spot in the team or were just told what they wanted to hear while it suited klopp. Either way get over it.

Good read thanks for the article. Agree with all except the controlled possession. I think we are striving for that part and that will take us to the next level if we manage to improve the midfield. Whether the improvement will come from within or we have to buy only time will tell.

{Ed001's Note - I have made a note of the date. The date we agreed on something!}

Good read as ever. Was interested in the backroom recruitment part, this has answered many thoughts and questions I had. Bit of a daft one perhaps, but is there any backroom changes or additions being touted this summer?

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of. Difficult one to find out about though.}

Would it be too much trouble to ask for an article on pep lindjers (excuse the spelling) . Or maybe a brief overview of what you think he's brought to the table so to speak?

{Ed001's Note - I have added that to my to do list.}

Ed001, do u reckon that klopp hasn't ever managed better than He is doing at the moment? Don't mean is he in his prime but just mean is this the best he's been as a manager so far in your opinion?

{Ed001's Note - defo mate.}

Can you imagine Mourinho as manager of LFC. Probably would have signed Lukaku and promised him to become a versatile forward!

Thanks for the article, Ed001. Great read. It's been very interesting to see Klopp evolve over his brief time here, especially after winning the most important title of his career when his long term associate (Buvac) was out of the picture. It's a shame he has become more subdued on the sidelines (I love the fireworks) but we still get an occasional glimpse of his larger than life character (running over to hug Alisson) .

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate, glad you enjoyed.}

Great review Ed, thoughly enjoyable read.

I agree that Klopp's main weakness is his substitutes (or lack of) I do think he has improved in that regard, particularly in the CL final.

Firmino and Kane both not having their best games due to lack of fitness and recent injuries. Poch sticks with Kane. Klopp subs Origi in and he scores that vital second goal.

Great read Ed, I must admit I was worried when buvac left but it seems as klopp and the team just evolved after that happened in terms of playing style, do you think that was klopp just playing what he wanted his team to play like all along where buvac probably influenced the more hectic style.

{Ed001's Note - no it was a joint decision before like I said in the profile Klopp used it to make up for a lack of ability compared to the top teams.}
