What's everyone's favourite transfer window?
Mine is probably the first I remember 1987 when we signed Barnes, Beardsley Aldridge and houghton I believe. Obviously the windows were a lot longer and the only way I knew how what these players looked like was Pannini sticker album.

This'll sound weird and ill get a tonne of thumbs down, but i was well impressed with houllier. When he signed hypia, henchoz, babel, westerveld, camara, meyer, a whole new squad really. Unluckily owen and fowler were out a lot and i think we had that german who could head well too. Karl heinze readler? So camara played a lot. He skied loads but scored some crackers too. Meyer was a flop of course. Can anyone else remember some other decent signings that window? I remember it was the year gerrard broke through. Played twice at right back and by the end of the season was being compared with viera.

Alonso, reina mach etc was a gooden. didn't we get the gorgeous luis garcia too?

I used to love the days of going to get the echo to see who we had signed now we are all guilty of needing to know everything yesterday . Although the information we get now especially on here has gave me such more appreciation for football as a game and business . Although kind of makes u not like players aswell when u hear the crazy demands . I’d love to swap jobs for a week see ho why would get on plastering . (Milner robbo&henderson would be ok ) IMO.

The 3 full seasons under Klopp have been very successful in the transfer market. There just seems to be 3 great signings every year.

First was Mane, Gini and Matip.

Second was Robbo, Salah and Ox.

Third was Virgil, Fab and Alisson.

All 9 of those guys went on to be regulars. Even guys like Manninger, Klavan, Shaqiri etc have all served a purpose too. Only bad signings Klopp has made from memory are Keita, Caulker and Karius. Keita still has a very good chance to turn it around though if he stays and fights for it.

When we was linked with the 3 best strikers in world football at the time. Torres, Eto'o and David Villa.
And in the end we chose the best one although all brilliant.

Not my favorite summer because my favorite player left, but I see the summer of 1977 as being one of the most impactful in the history of the club. Kevin Keegan left and Kenny Dalglish arrived. The rest is history.
