Hi Eds,

If Salah were to leave do you think that Leroy Sane would be an option?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? A player who was dropped for not trying and having a bad attitude by both his country and club?}

we could do much better than that.

Shame. Has the talent to be the best, that lad.

His lack of motivation has ruined it all for him, he seems to of got very lazy. A player I'd never want at Liverpool because we have a team full of hard working lads willing to give 100% every single time. Sane at one point really looked the real deal and still has the potential to be but his heads just not into it as much as it should be which will ultimately see him fail at the top level.

{Ed001's Note - I don't see it that way at all. He was lightning fast but little end product, very raw and was never going to be a special talent imo.}

I dunno, Seems to score against us every now n then. I think he's a top player.

{Ed001's Note - that is not what makes a top player, what a strange thing to say. Players raise their game against us, doesn't make them 'top'.}

Umm. i think few years back whenever we used to play palace someone. probably Dwight Gayle or someone used to score more frequently! so let's sign him then🤣.

{Ed001's Note - exactly.}

I get that his work rate isn't as good as it should be, but he has been really good in the premier league. Playing with david silva and kdb. Serg aguero and sterling etc made him look a better player than he is. I still think he's a really good player, he's not going to win the balon dor but i see him having a big future.

And as for being a salah replacement, he plays on the left doesn't he? Salah on the right. Son would me my choice if we ever need to replace magic Mo.

Personally I wouldn't say he was never going to be a top talent Ed mate, at one point I thought he ticked a few boxes to enable him to be a top talent (imo) but will he ever be? No, I completely agree. I just thought as a youngster at one point he showed a lot of promise yet never delivered due to how lazy the lad is.

I think if he got his head down and concentrated on his football he'd be a 'good' player. For Liverpool or City? No chance, arsenal, spurs etc yes I think he'd do well if he was more level headed but he's not so he's going to fail no matter what, in this league anyway. I just think if he'd of had the mentality of a player for an example pulisic, he'd of done well. The youngsters should want to improve and improve until they really make a name for themselves, this lad failed and will fail in the future but I do find it a shame because I personally feel he could've been a lot better if his head was in it. Its all about mentality for me and this is where his downside is.

{Ed001's Note - I just didn't see the talent as anything other than being able to run very fast with the ball. That would be fine if you can then do something with it but his end product was awful.}

Klopp is still interested in Same, is being kept informed on the situation with Bayern and he is still being considered in case Salah leaves. It is unlikely due to the club he is at but with Bayern not being keen at paying £90 million we could very easily make an approach IF Mo did suddenly decide to go. This is from a solid source and I've shared this for over a month.

I appreciate his negatives but Klopp does like him and we have no choice but to trust in him.

For me, Sane flatters to deceive. His goal ratio is considerably worse than Sterling's over the last 2 seasons, in the League. Yet, for me he should have more technical ability and end product than Sterling. In that Man City team he certainly should be doing a lot better. Maybe he's a bit of a pre madonna, not working as hard as he should, which you wouldn't get away with under Klopp.

Sane has been found out, IMO. Yes, he is fast and is talented BUT like Ed said, his game is focused mainly on pace and that is about it. The worst thing for him is that he has a wretched attitude and lacks motivation to actually be the best he can be. How do I know? As soon as things got tough at City, he now wants out. Tells you all you need to know about his mental make up. Now should Salah leave, Sane would not be even in my top 5 players we should go for to replace him. My personal pick, would be Son of Spurs.

Also, the fact that Sane scores against us so we should sign him, is the dumbest argument I have ever heard. Benteke used to score against us at will. We signed him and found out he was a complete waste of space. Thank heavens some of us here, don't run our scouting dept. cos we'de be in Administration once again.
