Ok ladies and gents I've just been watching back a couple of videos of the Champions League celebrations and aside from giving me a sense of enormous wellbeing (Parklife) it just makes me realise how lucky we are to have such a great and talented group of players at the moment.

We can all exalt the virtues of most of the squad, but is there one player who gives you the most joy to watch? Be it a Virgil saunter to retrieve the ball in front of an attacker as easy as stepping on a bus, a Gini giggle to claim possession and calm the situation or a Salah shimmy and strike when we need it the most, who just makes the football juices flow?

For me it has to be Sadio Mane. From his debut and that goal against Arsenal I knew we had a superstar. Plucked from relative obscurity to become one of the most devastating wingers on the planet, he plays with a smile on his face, has a style that isn't often seen these days and bamboozles defenders for fun. He may not always have brought the end product we know he can, but this last season in particular, when the chips have been down he has so often been the one to step up and pull us through. Humble and hardworking, from savannah to stardom, he epitomises what football is all about, in my eyes.

Any thoughts folks?

Great post mate and Mane is a good choice for all the reasons you have mentioned, as you've picked Mane I shall go for T. A. A a local boy who has only ever dreamed of playing for Liverpool, he has broke into the 1st team and even when its not been all plain sailing for him ( klopp even dropped him on his birthday! ) through sheer determination he has become a vital part of the 1st team.
lets look at his highlights so far, scored free kicks in both premier league and champions league, has displayed pin point accuracy with crosses that cannot be defended, has a passing range that suggests a midfield role awaits, and gave one of the most iconic moments in champions league history with THAT corner vs Barcelona which enabled him to take part in his 2nd champions league final all at the age of 20.
Real life roy of the rovers stuff.

ps: honuary mention of course to Andy Robertson for his incredible rise as well, we are so lucky to have them both.

I just love watching Henderson. Seeing someone who cares as much as the fans is worth a million Pogba's and all their fancy flicks.

Wow I obviously get a bit sentimental when I’ve been on the sauce. But all is true. Infact, the 4 players mentioned are probably the ones in the team that give me the most pride. I may not be a scouser but who can’t appreciate the local lad living his dream and knowing that every moment for him is exactly where he’s dreamt of doing it, then he rise of Robbo and proving to everybody how far hard work and endeavour can take you and lastly the most underrated player in football, Hendo.

I think a lot of humble pie will have been eaten all round about Liverpool’s past season, the quality of not just 5 or 6 stars but of the whole team and of Klopp’s giant trophyless monkey on his back. Lots of people will have to rethink their narrative about Liverpool now.

All are good shouts but for me it's Allison. What a difference that lad has made to this team, he's my favourite out of the lot. The way I look at it is if it weren't for him we'd of been out of the title challenge way before we were and we'd of never won the champions league. When you consider it was his first season here? Its exceptional. Huge shout outs to our front three, hendo, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, robbo, trent and of course VVD. We have a full team of great players now so it really is difficult to choose a favourite.

Good Post BTW mate, I'm still watching the videos as well lol can't get enough of it!

I love to watch Trent for such a young kids (and I mean kid) it’s been brilliant to watch him develop into an outstanding footballer with more to come. To win the CL at that age is special.
