The Liverpool manager would be willing to let the Egyptian go if it lands him the Lille star

Jurgen Klopp would be willing to sacrifice Mohamed Salah if it meant landing Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, according to le10sport.

Pepe has been subject of a transfer offer from Liverpool, but has yet to convince Lille, who also have two other offers for the forward.

However, Klopp wants the player and due to an increasingly complicated relationship with Salah, would be willing to see the Egyptian sold if it allows the Reds to land Pepe.

HEARD IT ALL NOW.

Ed do you know if it is true that klopp and Salah have had a disagreement about something and also is it still unlikely Salah will leave this summer.
I just can't see why he would want to leave a club that looks like it could dominate for years to come.

{Ed002's Note - Done to death.}

Why would Salah want to leave? There's a million possible reasons. Players are people too. They can have motivations other than just winning things. Maybe he wants better weather? Maybe he doesn't like his neighbourhood. Maybe he wants to raise his kids outside of the UK. Maybe he just wants to move.

Spot on Alvy. At the end of the day he said he wanted to come back to show the premier league the real mo Salah and by god has he. Now he wants to do the same in la Liga. I think we will hold onto him for one more season. Let's hope we can get number 19 and number 7. I love salah as a player but at the end of the day whether he stays or goes Liverpool and the fans will always remain and we will move on together.

Even if the Egyptian leaves it's no big deal doing my head in his manager always edging for a move if you want to leave mo get us some spending money pack your bags thanks for your service wish you the same level of success pipco found in Spain. We will sign a great replacement who will stay at the club and not use us as a stepping stone to spain.

If he wants to go then good luck to him. Our team is now strong enough to not have to rely on one player for a change. Mane, VVD, Alisson, Fabino, Robertson, Trent had as good a season than Salah for me. He’s not irreplaceable. No one is thanks to Klopp.

End of the day we're European Champions on the top of our game, and Bar Manchester City, the rest of the European giants and big 6 are rebuilding. I said it at the start of the season and will say it again, Liverpool are in the very top bracket now. Mo Salah knows this I couldn't care less what the rumours are.

on a side note, if Real Madrid do sign Salah this summer it would bring them close to a half a billion euros in media quoted transfer fees. (being very careful with word-choice so as not to rile the eds lol)

{Ed033's Note - how very dare you :)

Salah is a core member of our squad. We should do everything possible to keep him, but at the end of the day we must accept most players won't retire with a Liverpool kit on. I think he has to be one of the most expensive players in the world right now, so I could certainly see Liverpool cashing in and replacing with Fekir, Pepe, Bruno and the like.

ed001 why do people think that Mo is easy to replace 22 league goals and 8 Assists this season. How much space did he create for his team mates because teams where doubling up on him.
I would love Pepe join are club but not to replace Mo at least not this year. ed001 when was the last player in are teams to hit that many goals 2 season on the trot. And he was not at his best because of the injury at the start of the season.
All I can say REDS fans be care full what you wish for.

{Ed001's Note - Mo's got a little too big for his boots mate. He needs to return to planet Earth or it is time to get rid before he starts to become a problem on more than just penalty kicks.}

I said it a while ago, his interview post spurs game at Anfield was one of the most awkward things I’ve seen, his sole concern seemed to be home bring given that goal, it never sat right with me.

Exactly hopeful it's a danger to the family atmosphere klopp has created only takes one diva to ruin it and if we bend over backwards for salah what does it say to the rest of the squad

Grino was salah only able to do what he did because the other 10 men on the pitch were doing thier job right not him carrying them.

Faithinworks owen never scored 20+ league goals in a season once torres scored 20+ once. and to bring Sturridge in to in the all the time he was there he only played 20 league games twice in 6/ 12 years.
people on here seem to think MO is easy to replace but don't won't to lose Origi because he scored a few late goals last season.

To me salah has grown out of his humble modesty as he has hit stardom over the last 2 years, very noticeable change in him. I can't see him leaving this summer but he will move on at some point, for a large fee and we will replace him. Until he starts making it clear he wants out, I won't be worrying.

also, imo we kinda can't have it both ways. Like we want to attract the world's best players and / or hold on to our own world class stars. So that double-edged sword of it is that we may have to manage the personality / ego that many of these guys come with.

With hindsight, perhaps the writing was on the wall from the beginning. Mo always said he came back to the PL with something to prove. Now he can quite confidently say he’s done that and that’s gone to his head a bit. A bit of greed in a forward is a good thing but Mo took it a bit too far last season particularly towards the end which is maybe understandable, considering his underwhelming start to the season, as he may have just been trying to make amends. It probably also stood out more as greed this season, as last season, everything he touched hit the back of the net so it becomes irrelevant if there was a better option than shooting but I still think he was happier to lay it on a plate for mane or bobby last season than this. Anyway, I think we’ll get at least one more season out of him and who knows after that. As we all know he will go to Madrid if they come knocking but I haven’t heard ed002 say they want him. I believe they currently have higher priority targets for his position and he may never get his chance but if he does he will command a high enough fee to bring in a capable replacement so can we all stop worrying and talk about something else?! 😁.
