This might be a bit trivial but I don't get why we have chosen to stay in a resort with 30 degree heat every day. Not to mention the sun for over 12 hours a day. You just can't escape it. What time are they training? It is 22 degrees at 10am and 10pm.

We have all been caught out with sunburn, sunstroke etc. Telling 30 grown men "have you put enough cream on, what factor". Put your hat on etc.

Why couldn't they go to France Portugal or a different part of Spain?

It will also be 3 weeks with no game and have always thought that is far too long. We def need a friendly match before, can't believe it wasn't organised before.

God it must be hell. Who would want to be a footballer such a hard life!

It’s warm weather training. Harder work for the muscles, and increases fitness. Strange thing is, for warm weather training, you need warm weather. Going somewhere cold is a bit counterproductive.

A friendly was/ is trying to be organised for the weekend but it's proving to be difficult with so many players on holiday. I saw this the other day so don't know if it's happening or not. I agree though, it should've been arranged ages ago.

It is not about them enjoying themselves, they are there to prepare for the biggest game of their lives. A game they can't afford to lose. They should have gone somewhere else.

Hmm warm, like Madrid maybe? Awful idea! Plus if its better to train in uncomfortable conditions, as then when you play in better conditions your body reacts better.

Mark, the game will be played in Spain in Madrid where the temperatures will be almost similar so in some way, it is a way for them to get a lot of work done w/ o distractions from the media as well as relax their bodies in a high class hotel where the facilities for physical regeneration are top class. What's wrong with that?

Besides, Klopp does this all the time so not sure why you are suddenly surprised by it. You say they should have gone somewhere else. Well, do enlighten us as to where you propose they should have gone to instead esp. since the players and manager are used to already coming to this specific location hence, knowing what to expect in terms of conditions and surroundings?

The best marathoners all train at altitude because the air is thinner, so the body works harder with lesser amount of oxygen, and training is more effective in preparing for the marathons (mostly at or near sea level) . Here, LFC players are simply training at the same temperature and climatic conditions of the day of the Final. Why change it if this option is available?

But you're right. It's a trivial point.

Try telling that to Andy Robbo he is burnt to F. Madrid is no where near as hot. Should have gone to Portugal or a different part of Spain. Are you saying Red Wolf there are no other quality resorts in Spain, Portugal France.

I agree with going away just not to the hottest part of Spain for 2 weeks.

Actually Ar Ay, whilst athletes do use altitude and temperature chambers, the motto has increasingly been to live high and train low, ie allow your body to make adaptations at altitude in general life, but come back down to sea level so that you can train harder and then head back up.

Why should they have gone somewhere else? The temperatures there are in the high 20's, apparently the temperature for the final is forecast to be. in the high 20's.

Mark, you are the one moaning that they should have gone somewhere else so the burden is on you to enlighten us on where you think they should have gone, NOT the other way around.

As for proposing Portugal, France or other parts of Spain, parts of Portugal are just as hot if not hotter than Costa Del Sol, which is where Marbella is cos I have been there. France (again, I have lived in France for about 5 years) is only hot starting around June when it comes to the south of France. Frankly, it just seems like you are moaning over absolutely nothing. I know you may be frustrated cos it is taking too long for the game to come BUT chill out, man. All will be fine. I just hope you are not looking for stuff to use as ammunition to slam the team and Klopp with should we fall short in the final. cheers, mate.
