As an Irish Red I'm sad to see Corey Whelan, Conor Masterson and Glen McAuley all departing. I knew Whelan wasn't Liverpool 1st team material, nor McAuley being realistic, but had some hope for Masterson.
Anyway i wish them the very best for the future and hope they find a good club, coach, career etc.

Same for Connor Randall and Juanma, and eh the nomadic Bobby Adekanye as well I suppose.

Ed any info at all on interest/ offers for any of these youngsters?

I do find it surprising that some of the above players were still at the club, surely you must know that you aren’t going to make the grade.

Do you think it’s a case of seeing out their contract to get money? Or is there something else l.

E. g. Juanma is 22 now, and is now a free agent having no first team experience. Surely a year ago he knew he needed to move?

Juanma was given a three year contract when he arrived in 2016, his first season was disrupted and last season was basically a write-off due to injury so I guess he wanted to give it one last shot this season. Best of luck to him.

I guess for some players, they'd rather have Liverpool U23 for 3 years on their CV than 3 years at Brackley Town.

I guess it's down to that and where they believe they will develop better.

If Juanma gets a contract at Middlesborough or West Brom, then I'd think that he's done OK and better than if he'd have started playing at a low level team.

Of course, it's all guesswork really though.

Ed have these players officially been released by the club then? I didn’t see it announced that’s all.

All deamed not good enough?
