I’d like to see Harry Wilson be given an opportunity next season. With him and Ox coming in that’s like 2 new signings. Add Brewster further forward and it’s already 3.

Do they plus Origi give enough cover (and quality) to rest the front 3 every now and then?

Maybe rotate grujic with fab and keep hendo as a cm. then we only need to sign a full back.

Grujic and Wilson will probably be leaving us but Brewster will be a full first team player and Ox is definitely back.

Wow. Didn’t expect my post to be so one sided disliked. I wasn’t discussing the defensive half of the team just the attacking end. I still don’t understand why I got so many thumbs down. Do people really think we need to sign a world class player for the bench?

Maybe the thumbs down know enough to see that Wilson isn't of the quality needed for our first team.

g1dgo, world class players don't want to sit on the bench so trying to sign one to do that, is a futile venture.

World class players sitting on the bench? Can't remember Messi, Ronaldo etc being on the bench. We have a few players who can be world class

Allison
VVD
Mane
Salah
and I suppose the full backs could but I will never be alive to see us have world class on the bench. If we sign anyone close to world class then they will definitely be in the first 11. Our midfield has no one anywhere near world class.

I'd add Firmino to that World Class list. Plus in Trent and Robbo we've got two of the best fullbacks around atm who both should be considered world class if they maintain this form, if not already.

No team with a clear identity has world class players on the bench they have no idea what to do with. Even the players that warm the bench at Barca, Real or City are not exactly top notch. The likes of Sane, Mahrez, Gundogan, Malcom, Coutinho, Vidal, Isco, Bale etc are either past it, overrated or were never world class in the first place. That's why they are sat on the bench.
At the minute, we are not signing anyone that will be anywhere near as good as our first 11 (excluding our midfield which Klopp likes to rotate and is very player specific about) .
Alisson is in the top 5 GKs in world football and the best in the BPL at the minute.
TAA and Robbo are the best full back pairing in world football at the minute.
Our front 3 don't need any justification as to why they should be undisputed starters.
We cannot expect some of the best players in their position to sign, but we can get in people like Depay, Kenny Lala or whoever it is the club is looking at that will not demand to start every game and is willing to work their way up and earn their place.

Makes me laugh all these people thinking Brewster who’s very much unproven is going to be good enough yet write Wilson off who’s just had a fantastic season with derby and may yet to go on and help them gain promotion. Yes he might not have the quality to push for a place but let’s face it he’s a lot further on than Brewster!
I for one would like to see them both make it but also I think if they’re good enough they’ll push through and we should buy players to strengthen the squad and not rely on youth hopefully making it.
