Well first of all he didn't have a good end of season, more a bad start to the season only. Once he found his feet people could quite clearly see his quality. Fabinho is a very good player and if he isn't getting into the Brazil squad then the players keeping him out must be superstars, does anyone know who they would be? I dont!

Thanks Ed002. Fernandinho is clearly a very good player while Casemiro has hardly been pulling up any trees for Madrid.

I'm not complaining fabs not in the Brazil squad would prefer non of our players to be in national teams if I'm honest give them a nice break then get them back for pre season.

Ed025 did you not see him for large parts this season? I get what your saying with the tinted red glasses etc but come on he has been quality and one of our best players. I think it’s a case of you having Blue tinted glasses on mate lol. Tbh I’m not arsed who plays international football and who doesn’t but the Brazil selector set up is and has been for a long time twisted to say th livery least.

{Ed025's Note - after a very dodgy start he has done very well virgil, when i watched him at monaco i was not impressed and thought he would struggle in the EPL but he has proven me wrong, im not saying hes a world beater but hes certainly better than i thought mate, maybe bacchi thinks he needs a rest after all the games he has played and with the CL coming up?....or maybe he reads my reviews.. :)

Ed25, Fab had a very good season overall, IMO. If he is not picked by Brazil, that has nothing to do with his talent or performance cos if you know anything about how Brazil picks players, you would know that it is almost NEVER based on merit and has not been for well over 2 decades. For me, not arsed about it really cos it will mean we will have Fab for all of preseason fit and ready to go. Thanks, Brazil.

Pulis sacked seems like a lot of the types of managers are getting fond out now they won't evolve and just think tackling hard high balls and long throw ins is the way forward, just waiting for Warnock jr. at burnley to get found out now.

I think that Brazil squad in general isn’t up to scratch, some great players obviously but I don’t see a system or style or ethos just seems a bit like a ad campaign more than anything. I used to love watching Brazil play now I couldn’t care less. I may be too young to remember but I don’t recal a single player having so much sway in the international team at Brazil as Neymar does now and they’ve had better players, ronaldo Ronaldinho Rivaldo etc.

I thought it was crazy that Fabinho missed out after the season he had but understand why Fernandinho is ahead of him. But he’s far better than Casimero on this years showing. But as a Liverpool fan I’m glad he gets the time off in the summer.

{Ed001's Note - why would Fernandinho be in ahead though? He lost his place in the City side in the second half, he only played as a rotation option and got injured when he did. Casemiro is about 8 stone overweight and plays like the pub player he looks like. He is crap!}

What amazes me is that players who have been around since the last millenium like Dani Alves, Filipe Luis, Miranda and Thiago Silva are still in the picture. So much for developing of the younger players to take over eventually.
