Good evening all, haven't posted for a while, I'm one of those annoying people who go missing throughout the season and pop up again in the silly season!

A question for anyone who will answer or have any info.

Ruben Neves. any interest (still) there? I ask because of Pep Lijnders comments not so long ago? I know it may feel that we are sorted in that area but with Lallana/ Grujic possibly being moved on and Milner, Henderson, Gini nearing/ in the 30s, it would be a position I would look at.

Also, wondered if eds or fans had any idea on left back options?

Many thanks,

Without trying to sound silly, aren't all players under 30 nearing the big 3O due to the way time works.

P. S I learnt it from ed2, how time works.

Neves is a very good player, reminds a bit like Alonso, great passing range but probably wouldn't get stuck in like Xabi did. Anyway no chance of getting him and for me it would be Neves or Fabinho in the first 11 and I see no reason to drop Fabinho and both are too good to be on the bench.

Agreed TIR, if it weren't for Fabinho being here I'd be saying let's go for Neves but there's no point now. Fabinho took a while to get settled in but once he did how good was he? he'll be a vital cog next season as long as he stays fit, we don't need Neves as much as I rate him.

Neves is a player I truly adore BUT we have Fab there right now and besides, Neves will cost a fortune and since we are not City with deep pockets, we don't have that kind of money for a guy who will just be part of the midfield rotation. We already have that with Naby. I would love him to come BUT we don't need him right now. Our issues lie elsewhere at both FB positions, a reserve GK, a forward who can cover all three offensive positions and perhaps a no. 10 and a CB should Lovs leave.
