Brandt apparently saying he wants Dortmund now.

Anybody got some other suggestions?

Lots of players don't seem to want to fight for their place. It will be easier for him to go to Dortmund but if that's his choice then he is not right for us.

I like him as a footballer and hope this is just the usuasl media bull. They have a massive game at the weekend and am sure he is not thinking about the move this week.

Ed001 mentioned he liked Fekier as he really wanted to come so maybe we revisit.

Monaco? Oh do you means players.

If Brandt isn't attainable my next choice would be David Brooks.

MK SCOUSER i really rate this lad and think he will go on to be better then maddison.

I like hime MK but he would need at least a season to bed in. But I suppose you could say that about most players. Fabinho, Keita, Ox inc.

I agree John and Mark. His ceiling is as high as any young British attacker around. He sees everything happening around him and anticipates what is yet to happen. His weight of pass and decision making is just superb. At 21 years old, he already makes people around him look better which is a very rare ability in a player.

He would definitely need a year to adapt though because in the Bournemouth side he plays quite high up, whereas I'd see him in the same vein as how Klopp coached Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain to convert from wide attackers to playing in the midfield 3. It would be well worth the bedding in period though. We don't need any big time Charlie or super-star type signings. Just talented young players who will buy in to Klopp's philosophy.

I doubt we're even interested in Brooks though so It's all hypothetical!

I actually really like that as a suggestion MK, big fan of Brooks. He's not on Brandt's level, but still a great young talent. Shame Maddison would definitely be priced out of a move.

I'm interested to see who we actually go for, can't see too many realistic options in the market that would actually challenge the first team, especially since Shaqiri can play there. Hoping its a Fabinho situation where it comes as a fantastic surprise.

Tiliemans.

I agree with MK, Brooks definitely looks the part and from I've seen, he looks phenomenal. Maybe someone for the following year?

I read a similar news in Sky if I'm not mistaken.

It stated he would prefer Dortmund if he is to leave Bayer, but he might stay if Bayer managed to get a CL spot, though he don't mind to stay even if Bayer only settle for a Europa League spot.

My reaction was "errrrrrrr"

Nabil Fekir.

This one going to devide opinion

Zaha

But not at the asking price. Say 50m.

{Ed025's Note - hes a big fish in a small pond which suits him ravi, and where would he even fit in mate?..

13.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 07:42:46
I enjoy watching Zaha play, but his lack of end product at his age is deeply concerning. No one doubts what he can do in a one on one, its after that where he falls seriously short. Plus Liverpool seem to be targeting an AM who can cover the wings which doesn't apply to Zaha. We'd be spending "50m" (its been quoted as double that) on a backup winger who isn't likely to progress that much, especially with even less game time.

But I get it Ravi haha, skilful players are always appealing as a fan. Sure, enough pints in and I'll be throwing on Ben Arfa compilations and demanding we sign him.

17 May 2019 08:31:01
He looks good in the Palace team as they play to suit him. He doesn't get anywhere near enough goals and doesn't work hard enough. No thanks.

Lacazette would be better IMO.

15.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 08:50:02
No Zaha please.

16.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 09:44:22
If a Brandt purchase does not work out then it's best to go back in for Fekir. I'm sure the scouts have had a look at him over the season and seen his play and how his knees have held up. I'd take a player who really wants to play for you over a player with mixed feelings, any day of the week.

Love the idea of Brooks in a Liverpool shirt.

18.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 09:50:24
Ravi, Ed is correct. Zaha is exactly that, a big fish in a small pond and is nowhere NEAR good enuff for the level of intensity and rhythm at which we currently play. I think people need to understand that right now, LFC is operating at the very highest level of PL and European football, full stop. As a result, we need to think big and wide when we talk about who we want to come to us now.

Players like Zaha who are nothing but one-eyed kings in the land of the blind, are not wanted here, IMO. We need if not proven, young and talented players who have shown their mettle for both club and country. We need those who have played in gig dometic and European comps. games such as the CL, EL and/ or international footie. Players like Brandt, Fekir fit this profile and are the types we should be aiming for. The likes of Brooks and Maddison tho talented, need to do more and show more over a longer period of time so they can prove they can make the step up to the type of club we have become. The era of one-season wonders are over or at least should be, IMO.

{Ed001's Note - I don't get the love for Zaha, he is awful.}

Lerchy I’ve just read also that Brandt wants to go to Dortmund mate. Hope not, really want us to sign him I think he would bring cover in so many positions.

20.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 11:06:07
Ed025 was spot on about Zaha big fish small pond.

21.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 10:45:48
I still think Brandt will happen. Nothing to base this on, just a hunch or maybe wishful thinking. He'd be perfect for Liverpool.

{Ed002's Note - There are two offers on the table already - and if he is to leave Bayer they would rather he moved away from Germany for the obvious financial reasons. If Liverpool want to do something - then now would be the time to act and come up with a decent offer.}

22.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 11:58:00
Sounds like we need to act quickly then Ed before it’s to late if he has 2 offers on the table already.

23.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 11:59:54
Ha decent offer Ed002 not the way that they have messed club's around lately but hopefully they'll have learned.

24.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 12:02:32
Thank you for that Ed.

25.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 12:49:02
If zaha is awful ed how come he rips us too shreds every time we play against him?

{Ed001's Note - I have never seen him rip us to shreds, nor has anyone noticed him do that within the club. You live in a strange world of fantasy if you think a player that has what 1 (I think) goal against us in his career is ripping us to shreds every time we play against him. A few fancy tricks before losing the ball is not ripping anyone to shreds. He may look good but he is not effective at anything other than diving.}

26.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 16:08:39
Brandt off to Dortmund to replace Sancho who’s off to ManU?

27.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 16:13:08
I know we're (or at least we've been) interested in Brandt, do you think we'll actually make a move and table an offer at this time as you suggested we would have to, ed002?

{Ed002's Note - I doubt it as it stands right now.}

28.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 16:38:41
Thanks for the replies regarding zaha.

He certainly is a player that has his doubters.

I fully agree his tracking back is poor to say the least. That is the only question mark i have over him.

Finishing will improve if he played for us as he will get fat more chance.

But imo, he could become under klopp guidance one of the top players in england.

He has all the raw attributes that just need fine tuning.

I think with the team we have now, its word taking the risk.

At worse we end up with a player who will certainly add to our squad depth.

At best he can push us that last extra hard.

I don't think he fits into klopps mindset/ style so won't happen.

If it did i would be chuffed.

29.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 16:43:14
Owe. Dagger in the heart Ed. I thought for sure we would bid for him. Is there anyone else for LW / AM position we are or could well look at? I guess the Sharkopod when you get chance to do it would answer most of these questions mate.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing beyond those I have previously mentioned.}

30.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 08:09:34
On the bench ed25.

{Ed025's Note - but would you pay £50m+ for a guy to sit on the bench cobra?..i dont think so mate..

31.) 17 May 2019
17 May 2019 21:38:36
Son for me.
If we can poach him from Spurs. He offers cover for a variety of positions 👍.

32.) 18 May 2019
18 May 2019 04:28:55
Would never happen but Son would be a dream signing IMO.

33.) 18 May 2019
17 May 2019 20:49:50
Spot on, Ed25. Would make absolutely no business or footballing sense to put a 50m player as a back up. City can do that cos they are funded by a country's government and we all know some of hose players are now wanting to go elsewhere. We can't do that, I'm afraid and I would not want us to anyway.

I agree with those who see zaha as very over hyped. Looks lively with his style but doesn't hurt teams enough.

Similar to people raving about bolasie when he could sprint down the line with a step over and turn back and forth without ever actually offering end product.
