Morning Ed's. Sorry to hear your sponsors/ advertisers backed out. I have supported and even suggested the donate option in the past and we all looked at ways at how people could benefit from supporting the site so long as it wasn't to the detriment of others who had other "strains on their resources".

I have donated already and intend to continue in the future but I feel I need to bring something to your attention. I really don't want to sound ungrateful but I am not sure about the Liver Bird logo next to contributors names. It is a bit like school dinners where the poor kids got theirs in a brown paper bag and were ridiculed for it. I would prefer to remain anonymous with regard to any donations I make and although it would feel great to show that we are supporting the site it may cause animosity.

Once again, please don't think I am being awkward or righteous as I am incredibly thankful for everything you guys do for us.

Got to disagree. In theory you can have a badge for 1p. it would be different if there was different badges dependant on how much you donated, but there’s not 🤝.

A would love to donate myself but unfortuanly i am struggling to make ends meat for my wife and 3 kids at mo, due to no fault of my own. I have worked as a groundworker since day i left school 27yrs ago but before xmas a young labourer jumped on a 10tonne dumper and instead of going forward he reversed straight over the top of me. Altho am lucky to be a live a certianly don't ferl lucky as my body is a mess and have ended up with serious head injuries. Hopfully a can have the surgerys needed to get myself back to work as i am not in a good place at mo without been able to work life is worthless, anyway hopfully things tuen around in thw future and hopfully i can return to work this is my main goal and if i do then i will start to donate as it reallyis a fabulous site and gives me alittle lift on a daily basis. But apoliguies eds i really wish i could donate to help you guys out for your great work! YNWA.
