Regardless of how the final turns out I'd like to see us treat both domestic cups more seriously this season.

Although the prestige is low for League cup it's a trophy in your cabinet in march which gives a bug boost to players for a month or so.

In the past I've never been too bothered about domestic cups because, like everyone else, all I thought about was the league.

There's no excuses now for not competing in everything.

Need to bolster the squad a bit then really. There is a reason that city managed to win 2 trophies, get to a final of a third and get to the champions league quarters.

You could argue that not being in the domestic cup competitions has helped us chase the two big prizes this season. I think in general Klopp and backroom team have managed the workload well this season. The only small issue was the lost rhythm after the two warm weather breaks. But those breaks might be what helped us with a run in filled with emotional late winners.
