I really like Ben Mee, glad to see him on the list. Thanks again for this. Great read.

{Ed001's Note - Mee has been outstanding for them and turned Keane and Tarkowski into highly rated players by carrying them!}

Thanks Ed001, surpirsed not to see Hendo on the list!

Would you like to see any of them with us in the future?

I have a liking for Mee and Jota potentially for us.

{Ed001's Note - Mee is too old now to be honest, he should have had his move by now. Shame as he deserved his shot at European football.

I would love Saul but I doubt there is any chance of that happening. Aaron Martin looks a good prospect as well. Other than that Jota would be good.}

I love these type of articles. I clearly don't watch football anywhere near as much as you do Ed mate but from what I do watch, my list would have Firmino and Hendo in it. Either way though, a great read.

Thank you mate you've certainly being busy, good god I don't know how you do it releasing all of these articles so quickly! Please continue. Quality.

{Ed001's Note - Henderson was on my initial list but Bobby had won a lot of people over last season so I left him off.

Cheers mate.}

Not sure Laporte is underrated anymore, he certainly is one of the best CB's in the League, I think people have woken up to him over the last 6 months. Awesome list, thought Fabiański might make the list.

{Ed001's Note - he was on the shortlist but missed the cut.}

I’d take Jota in a heartbeat. Looks like he could’ve the next Aguero.

Very interesting article, Ed001

What about Son Heung-min, was he on the short-list?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - no because he has become highly rated this season.}

Thank you Ed!

Slightly random one Ed001, but do you think Giroud would do a job at Liverpool as a back up striker? If I knew he would be playing so little at Chelsea I think he could have been a realistic option for us before he went to Chelsea.

As you said, he is very good at linking play. Just like our very own Bobby. Had me thinking.

{Ed001's Note - possibly, he does not work as hard but he would be a better option than Origi or Sturridge at this point.}

A bit more of a plan B with actual skill. Think he would be well suited for us. Quite like the thought of it personally.

And as I said, it seems he is used to being a bit part player of sorts.

Wouldn't want it to happen though as I can see it having an affect on Rhian Brewster oppourtunities.

Cheers Ed.

I mentioned Giroud about 2 maybe three seasons ago and got I think 45 thumbs down lol.

Love the list Ed. IMO Laporte is not as underrated as one might think cos he was already highly rated in Spain before coming here. I knew him even back then. Maybe to the English media and footie fans, he is. I know the hapless John Stones gets all the English media coverage but he is NOWHERE near Laporte's ability. Not even close.

As for Jota, I like him a lot in that Wolves team BUT I wonder how good he would be w/ o The Beast a. k. a Raul Jimenez (the closest thing to our Bobbie, IMO) playing next to him. Either way, nice article, Ed01. Keep them coming.

{Ed001's Note - I was aiming it as underrated in England really, hence LaPorte.}

The only one of that list id disagree with is Giroud. He was benched at Arsenal, benched at Chelsea. that's 3 or 4 managers over the last few seasons who didn't see him as an automatic starter. His recent goal record is poor despite a decent world cup. I wouldn't say he is underrated, i would say coming off the bench for the last 15 minutes of a game is the level he is at.
All opinions of course, but not a player id like to see at Liverpool.
