i have some confessions and an apology.

for this season, i've been wearing a wine red tee to watch us play most matches. and we had won most matches whenever i wore that.

then, whenever i had watched or checked man city's results mid-game, they had gone on to win, with only 1 exception - the 0-0 draw at Anfield where i believe my wine red tee had mitigated it.

in the latest City CL game, when i switched over (cause the Liverpool game was over), the VAR review had just completed and Spurs duly went on to win the tie. i cannot imagine what would have happened if i switched over earlier.

Then i couldn't resist checking the PL game during the wkend, and City went on to score and win inside 5 mins. For the OT game, utd were doing well at 0-0, again, i couldn't resist it and watched the 2nd half and they went on to lose.

i will not watch or even check City's results mid game anymore this season. i'll just go to bed and wake up next morning, hopefully, smiling about their dropped points.

My Mrs buys me a new shirt every year as our anniversary gift as it falls at roughly when the new shirts are released. Kind of a tradition. Anyway I’m convinced that every time I wear it we lose against teams that we should really of beat. So I’ve stopped wearing it. Superstitious mumbo jumbo? I’d rather not take the chance.

but i a confident that we will beat Barcelona. Messi is Messi. but apart from him, i actually believe we have a superior team in all departments.

I have one to make too! whenever city play and i check the score. they score within 2 min of that. i have tried not to check score but its turning out harder than i thought!

I never look at the table. That's my one superstition - if it's shown on a webpage, or on screen, I look away.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea when it started, or why, but it's a compulsion now.
