So all the drama we have had in this brilliant season is about to come to a end. Only a few games left. I haven't missed a game in three years and you all know we've had some drama in that time.

So my point is what do we need to make us really grip the league ( not that we haven't already) in first team and squad depth for next year?

Let’s enjoy how the season pans out. Whatever happens happens but we’re now firmly back where we want to be.

Next year we need very little change other than squad depth. The Eds have clearly identified what we need and are looking for.

With the Ox coming back and Brewster stepping up we already have 2 very decent signings.

My only concern being how we manage Milner. He has been magnificent for Liverpool and his versatility has been so useful. So whilst we do need coverage for LB/ RB we also need to consider a midfielder who can adjust mid game. Maybe between Fabinho and Henderson we have that already?

I would say stability and continuity would be the best way to maintain, and try and improve, our already excellent league form. No radical overhauls, no marquee signings for the sake of it, keeping our best players (if possible), signing a couple of quality additions that can drive competition for places. That'd be, in my opinion the best approach. Basically do what we have been doing the last few seasons - steadily improving the quality of the first team and, with it, the squad. It is working and continuing along that path will certainly aid us in our pursuit of success for the coming seasons.

As someone said the other day, we're in our prime, city are ageing and need replacements in key areas. Everyone else is playing catch up. You always need to improve the squad to stop complacency creeping in but we're not crying out for any thing desperately other than a dedicated RB, to aid Trent, not to oust him. Other than that, just look at Ed002's transfer target list from the other day. The club knows what it needs to do.

Fabinho and Keita fully settled and accustomed to the Premier League would be fantastic. Apart from that, a quality centre-back to cover for Gomez and Van Dijk. Matip or Lovren can be fourth choice.

It’s a difficult predicament. It’s hard competing on all levels with a team like City when you look at their bench. But now you are starting to read about all the players that are unhappy with the amount of game time they get. So do we go out buy the marquee player and risk upsetting the Apple cart or do we stick to what we have and hopefully some youngsters and reserve players step up. Barcelona managed to be dominant for a few years with a crap bench mainly due to the wages they pay their first 11, but the. The difference was obvious when several main players moved on or retired.

I reckon the only starting 11 position we could feasibly improve on would be RB. We all love TAA, he's got a HUGE future with the club, but he's the weakest positional player in our first 11. With him being able to play midfield, and being so young that he doesn't have to play every single game, I think he's perfect for 2nd choice RB/ Rotational midfielder next season. Don't watch a lot of other teams play, and haven't updated Football Manager since 2017 edition, so I don't have a list of potential signings, but I do like Ben-Wissaka, and I've never been disappointed with Thomas Meunier when i've seen him play, so that's what i'd put forward for next season, and then some squad freshening up to replace players looking to leave.

We're a few smart buys away from being an absolutely tremendous squad, it's really exciting times.

I’d say we need 4 players:
A Migs replacement
A versatile full back to back-up and challenge Trent and Robbo
A proper CB to challenge Gomez with one of Matip or Lovren leaving and the other staying as back up.
A versatile forward to challenge/ rotate with the front 3 who are all themselves versatile.
