I was hoping Man U could do us a favour by beating City but they are losing 4 nil to Everton.

The only team who could throw a spanner in Citys works is Leicester. City will beat Utd and we will finish second. But so much closer than last year. On the bright side, we will beat Barcelona then its the spuds or Ajax. I fancy that.

Even though it's bad news for us vis-a-vis their prospects against Man City, I burst out laughing when I saw the result.

I suspect Solksjaer is not the answer there.

I was hoping they'd win today, so that they'd have something to play for on Wednesday.

They'd have been level on points with Spurs if they'd won today with top 4 in their own hands - obviously only by beating City.

Luckily, with Crystal Palace taking 3 points off Arsenal, Man United still have something to play for. They're only 2 points from 4th with 4 games to play.

Man Utd will go into the next match suitably chastened, with something to prove and something still to fight for given Arsenal and Tottenham both lost. I think City still the likely winner but hoping Man Utd come out with plenty of fire in the belly after that whipping and give them a decent game.
