Ed002 did you ever watch that documentary series about the Vietnam war by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick yet?

{Ed002's Note - I had forgotten about that Barry.}

Its on netflix and uktvplay. It is well worth a watch for anyone interested in what actually happened in vietnam. I was born in the early 80s people still talked about the Vietnam war then.

I admit, i knew eff all about the conflicts except it was america against the viet cong, but it was a messed up, intricate affair that began with big European forces colonising the world. that's not come back to bite us has it! Hard border in ireland, that unacceptable.

I digress, brilliant documentary. Kens doc about the european conflicts are excellent too.

{Ed001's Note - does it go back to the British involvement post-WW2?}

Ken Burns’ Civil War series about the US is also excellent. Don’t know how good he’d get on in our midfield but he makes great documentaries!
