Fairs dos to the Dutch FA. I could NEVER see our FA doing anything like that!

Morning Ed.

As disgusting as it was what Hennessey did, I find it equally as bad for Palace and co to try and cover it up with this BS! if ANY Liverpool player did it, I don't care how good x player is, I'd want them out the club immediately. I find it horrendous the constant backing of the lad, they must think everybody is thick! ANYBODY who backs up this kind of stuff are simply pieces of sh*t and that's as simple as it gets for me.

I hope you had a good party mate? take care and have a great day.

{Ed001's Note - it is not the salute that bothers me. It was obviously just a poor taste attempt at humour. It is the lies and cover up that are disgraceful.}

Cheers Ed and well said about Hennessey! There is no way on gods earth that he didn't know what he was doing!

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate. No one can possibly be brought up in the UK and not know what it was.}

Good morning and a good read Tris, it's about time supporters took some of their own supporters and had a serious chat with them. It's a family sport now with very you kids going to matches and shouldn't have to see that. If supporters got banned from away matches for doing monkey chants and other insults it wouldn't be long before people's attitude changed.

{Ed001's Note - unfortunately there is a major problem in the old East Germany.}

This Hennessy thing is getting ridiculous now, it's the thought that they think that all the fans are that stupid that they will believe that he had no idea what Nazism is that is the most insulting. It also says that by lying and covering up, he hasn't fully admitted wrong doing so therefore anything afterwards is pointless if you won't take full responsibility in the first place.

A photograph is a moment in time, often with no context. Many things can be captured by accident with completely different connotations - is an excuse he could have used and would have been far less devious and insulting and more plausible than the layer upon layer of bovine defactum that is being spouted now. Still, you can't blame them for trying to avoid the punishments if the numpties on the disciplinary committee can't even see through it. What a shambles.

Anyway, Cheers Ed, have a nice day.

{Ed001's Note - fair point.}

Completely agree Ed. It's one of them for me mate, anything to do with that kind of sh*te is a real sore subject for me and I as I say, it's as bad people trying to cover it up, there's no ifs, buts or maybes about it, its wrong and that's that. Disgusting.

I’m the same age as Hennessy (roughly) I know what it is and so does every single person I went to school with.
Footballers are not known for their intelligence I know but unless he simply never went to school he knows exactly what it was. Shame on the club and manager as well.

To kick them out the club for a salute used In humour is a bit excessive!
99% of the uk population must of copied Basel fawltys joke once upon a time 😂.

20 Apr 2019 13:36:59
I guess I'm the 1% then. I don't find it funny at all. You call it excessive kicking them out benny? You surprise me.

11.) 20 Apr 2019
20 Apr 2019 16:39:44
It would be excessive to kick him out the club yeah, it was poor taste but nothing more. He should have said as such and said sorry, lying about it and claiming ignorance is just absolutely ridiculous though he’s made himself and the club look a total idiot, Hodgson has made himself look like a total fool as well now.

12.) 20 Apr 2019
20 Apr 2019 19:07:50
Well mikey the way I look at it mate is if I were to be seen doing it on a night out, I'd be straight into the office getting suspended but because he's a footballer he get's away with it? it's ridiculous. I really don't find it excessive to kick him out, so many other people would lose their jobs for it but again, this fella is a millionaire footballer, so it's ok? nah, not in my books its not, why should he get away with it? same old though, this is nothing new, they get away with murder all of the time.

Salah I take it you’re equally offended at Firmino drink-driving? What do you think is more acceptable someone making a person salute and then lying about it or some getting behind a wheel drunk and putting there’s and other people’s lives at risk?

Some people need to give their head a shake.

14.) 20 Apr 2019

I agree with you guys, he clearly knows what it is and the excuse is nothing short of pathetic.

From the image he has done it as a ‘funny’ photobomb but between them (the players) they weren’t smart enough to laugh it off and delete it. Instead they share it and of course it grabs attention.

It was a completely misjudged thing to do; but own up to it rather than pretend you don’t know what it is. He has come out far worse, as have the FA, after this then if he simply said I made an error of judgement.

Spot on Benny, a complete over reaction by a couple of snowflakes who are just getting offended over a minor incident. Although he should just admit his mistake, serve his punishment and get back to playing football. Hopefully he has learned a lesson.

16.) 20 Apr 2019
20 Apr 2019 22:32:06
pegleg, did you see our club defending him because of it?

17.) 21 Apr 2019
21 Apr 2019 07:24:36
Salah, you were talking about his actions. Now you’re on about the club. So which one should get him the sack, his actions or his clubs defense of him? If you ask me you’re talking a load of man united.

I never asked you mate. I suggest you re read the thread before digging yourself a deeper hole. Or we can carry on if you'd like to? Good god I'm not the brightest spark in the plug but some people on here are bloody _______ fill in the blank.

Eds, I don't know how you do it.

19.) 21 Apr 2019
21 Apr 2019 20:45:17
They tend to do it with your tongue up their arses. Now you’ve said the bloke should be sacked for making an inappropriate gesture. I’m asking you if the same applies to Firmino for drink driving?

20.) 22 Apr 2019
22 Apr 2019 08:33:07
How is my tongue up their arses, please give me a detained explanation because someone said this the other week (you're obviously copying) and he couldn't back himself up. You're probably another gobsh*te but I'd love to see you try at least. :)

No the same doesn't apply to Firmino, he got a hefty fine and a ban for a year if I remember correctly, he was punished and that's the point! the club didn't support him with it so it's a completely different matter.

Again, please re read the thread because you're clearly confused but maybe that's normal for you? I apologise mate, maybe I should take more care when speaking to people like yourself, children like yourself use the site too.

If I’m the second person to say it then we’re obviously not the only ones thinking it.

So please answer me this, which is worse. Someone making an inappropriate gesture and then lying about it where the worst that could happen is someone’s feelings were hurt. Or someone getting behind the wheel drunk putting their life and that of others at risk?

I like most on here know the answer to this, you need to get off your pedestal what he did is no worse than what slot of us have done the fact that he’s lied and his club has tried to back him up is embarrassing and that’s all.
