Had mixed feelings about City being knocked out due to the upcoming Spurs game. But when I thought about it, surely this weekend's game will still be played the same way? Spurs will still be trying to secure CL for next season and even if City had have won this game, they'd still be all guns blazing to win the league as well?

{Ed0333's Note - I would City win the title than the champions league. Good luck picking up the players after that blow to the heart Pep.

Burkeyboy, I don't have any mixed feelings at all, man. This is EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted City to be caught up in two titanic battles vs Spurs and get eliminated. I am chuffed to bits for Spurs. City have just seen their whole season (to some extent) crumble GAIN in the CL and Pep is now going to be under immense pressure now, no doubt. Brilliant!

As Ed responded, good luck to Pep or in fact, any manager getting the City players ready to play another high octane, cliffhanger vs the team that not only just ended their CL season BUT just ended their chance for their "quadruple" quest. They will still have heavy hearts, no doubt. Spurs have their tails up now and will go into the weekend game bouyant and confident while City will be low in confidence. We'll see what happens.

{Ed0333's Note - exactly confidence is what beats City and spurs have it in droves now. What a climax to the season. Regardless of who you support you gotta love this game of ours. Opiate of the masses it surely is.

You don’t feel tired when you win. I bet City feel bloody knackered!

{Ed0333's Note - I just realized spurs supporters have got to travel to Manchester twice in four days.

Son is absolutely on fire. Admired him for a while but never expected this run of form.

I don't think the ManC players, and Pep, will be able to brush this off and go out firing on all cylinders against Spurs in the league. De Bruyne had a wonderful game, Kane was not playing, and they still lost; every ManC player will feel this. And judging from Pep's after game interview (where he literally shrugged his shoulders 10 times in 2 minutes), they are very much rattled. That chink in the armor is in fact a slightly larger hole, especially now that the quadruple is gone. May well turn out to be just the FA Cup for this year.

Amerigo if ever we lost Salah or Mane, Son is the ONLY one I would not mind LFC tabling a 100m pound pluss offer for. He is that brilliant.

Id take son in a heart beat.

{Ed0333's Note - for sure. Class act. Genuinely great player with humility and respect. I was reading an article about him saying his father won’t let him get married or have kids while he’s a footballer as family are a distraction 🤣

I rated son for ages, but Kane been the golden boy at spurs but honestly I prefer son overall, I do rate Kane super highly, but he the whole team playing for him to score, son is like bobby puts in a shift, literally got everything, works hard, can use both feet, good touch and good dribbler. If moura carries on playing well, Spurs might do well cashing in on Harry, Levy will get a solid price, and then if they invest properly will be a very exciting season for them! More so doing well in the champions league they might keep Harry and earn themselves some more money!

But if i had to choose who to win the Cl then it would have to be us ;)

I actually felt sorry for pep tbh, as much as city are our rivals, I actually like the bloke. But I was not unhappy to see them lose, I just hope this result does not spark a backlash and see them cruise to the title. As much as I would like to win no 7, the premier is what I really want.

Thanks for your replies ed0333. Im glad im not the only one who believes we can win a MASSIVE double.

{Ed0333's Note - no worries mate there’s absolutely no reason on God’s earth we can’t win the double.
