Could do with Everton beating man utd this weekend? so citys "game in hand" on us is a must win for man utd, a plus from that game if god forbid city were to win it puts a nail in the coffin for Champions League next season for Ole Solskjaer who man utd fans will find next season is not the next messiah?

And of course the following scenario could happen this season, we win the trophy we don't prefer (Euro Cup ) and city win the trophy we prefer (premier) so Jurgen make it a winning double to avoid all scenarios.

P. S. Liverpool Police are investigating the idiot who threw a flare into the Chelsea end on sunday, wasnt the win good enough you IDIOT, ban him for life? Also Dejan Lovren not travelled to Porto today he has an illness, the OX has not gone either!

Mr Bond, I don't think it's going to matter really. Utd will be up for it vs City and even tho I agree that they are pretty poor right now (they got their arses handed to them by WH, of all people), the club will DEMAND that they get out there and give their best.

I think United will want to win that game for sure. However with Chelsea to come for them after the City game and having 4 games in I think 11 days, the City game could be the one where changes are made. They will have a good chance of getting something from Everton and the Chelsea game could well have a much bigger impact on deciding weather they are top 4 or not regardless of the result against City. United will want to win who ever plays, it's a local Derby against the noisy nieghbours, however it's the "whoever plays" bit that might be of concern if that is indeed the game where changes are made. I think OGS will loose no respect, no credence or no loyalty from United fans if they make three or four changes and loose as it will be seen as perhaps doing it for the greater good as they will be fresher for the game that could send them to the CL next season. Liverpool will perhaps need it to be Spurs on Saturday that do them a favour as if City win that I feel they will beat United and therefore take the leauge. United will do us no favours and if needed will rest players for what can be seen for them as a bigger game against Chelsea four days after the City game.

It’s a must win no matter for Utd there’s not a hope they are getting champs league footy next season ole’s holiday is over! They need to win everything and I can’t see them getting anything from city!

So we want everton to win and we want utd to win. Has this ever happened?

On another note, Barcelona are 2 0 up (3 0) so it looks like messi at anfield. Big test for vvd but i think he will keep him quiet. I think we are going to make the ucl final.

Ive said it before but i can feel a big double this year.

everything else aside, I don't thin manU should be looking at any of their next matches any less than muat-win. out of the 4 teams chasing 3rd and 4th they are probably on the outer and should be gunning for 3points in every match.

The way they are playing tonight and how they played on Saturday we can't expect any favours from them.
I don't think City will drop any points now and one of the Eds promised us they would, haha.

Robbiesline, let's wait till we've got past Porto before we start thinking about dealing with Messi! I think we have a good chance of making the final too but you are talking like the game tomorrow night has already been won!

Agree with you, MK. I'm still a tad nervous. Early goal for us will bring my heart rate to below 200!

Who ever gets to the final from our side of the draw it will be tough for them. This Ajax team look so good, watched this game tonight as I've no interest in watching United against the Liverpool want aways. Ajax are like their teams of old, real pace, movement, power, skill nd brilliance, it's a joy to watch and if they get through City or Spurs will have thier hands full. A Liverpool v Ajax would be a spectacle.

Rigsby, the Ed gave his opinion just as many of us have as to whether City could drop points so not sure why you think one of the Ed's saying City will drop points should be relied on as the truth.

Spot on, MK with your assessment. Let's get past Porto first (that's not going to be a cake walk by any menas) before thinking about Messi and the lot.

As for Utd, they have NO choice. Whether it be City, Chelsea or Everton, they have to win to make top 4 cos that battle will go to the final game of the season. Now they may want to rotate their team and they are free to do that BUT they simply cannot lose ANY of those game s and frankly we don't need them to beat City (altho it would be super awesome) . We only need them to take a point off them and we are back in business. Here's to hoping.

Surprised no one commented on the flare incident which was one day before thirtieth Anniversary of Hillsborough and followed an impeccable response by both sets of supporters to the minutes silence before the game (you must give Chelsea fans credit to the one minute silence they duly observed ) and were rewarded for this later by a "PATHETIC " Idiot who threw the flare? Words fail me.

Good Night All bar the Idiot.

You're right mk of course. But i don't see us getting beaten by three goals. Lovren played the first leg but i would have matip in there tonight. Dunno why, i think he can handle that big tank of a forward they have better than dejan.
