I know this prob wouldn’t happen and am in dream land but if there was one player I’d love us to sign it would be James Maddison he looks like he’s going to be world class if he carries on. And would be good for the home grown players.

I hardly think he's a "dream land" signing. He is a top player. I keep thinking about trent playing in that position regularly. There are better ams out there.

Hey longthing, sorry if i sounded harsh mate. isn't maddison a chelsea player on loan? If so then why not. don't forget; we are liverpool. Most players on the planet would be happy to sign for us. Good shout. But if Leicester have bought him outright then there's no chance.

If Leicester can see a profit in it then they may be willing to sell. That bunch are close though. Have been through a lot for such a small club. I can see them staying more or less intact for the next 5 years at least.

The thing is with these young players is they’re at the stage where they are playing regularly for there current clubs moving to a top 4 team could see them lose game time. Personally think it’s a year to early for the likes of madison or Brooks.

Yea I like Maddison a lot but the lad has started 30 of Leicester's 33 premier league games, can we honestly say we could offer him the same amount of game time? also based on how Leicester priced Maguire when there was interest, we're looking at like 60mil +

Need to sign these talents before they make the move to a decent premier league side. Still annoyed on how we missed out on Dele Alli for example (keeping in mind how talented he was at the time, very different player to the one now)

We play about 60 games including CL and club competition so he would still get 30 I would have thought.

Maddison is a good little player BUT very inexperienced at the level LFC currently play at and the same goes for Brookes for B'mouth. This is his first season in the top flight so let's give him time to mature and improve before we say whether he is good enuff or not. I am always afraid of players who are doing well as rookies in the PL.

They need to go through what is called The Sophmore or Second Year Slump when teams game plan specifically for them and see how they react. Even look at Salah. He cam out of nowhere to dominate in the CL and PL. Now look what other teams are doing to him and we are seeing that he IS a top player cos he has proved his mettle. Maddison has to go thru that and then see how he reacts, IMO.

Longthing76 I was speaking about the premier league alone with those 30 fixtures, 30 out of 33. Maddison started those 30 games. Our additional fixtures to Leicester are made up of the champions league alone, which really doesn't add that many. We also don't tend to play with a CAM, hence Shaqiri only having something like 14 starts.

Maddison is a great talent, but he would get no where near as much game time as he does at Leicester and there's simply no way to spin it otherwise.
