Hi Ed's

Can I ask please what you think we will do with our Centre back area in the summer. Obviously we have 4 at the minute with our best 2 as Virgil and Joe, with the other 2 as back up. Do you think Klopp is happy with the back ups or could we well look to bring another one in with one leaving?

Ok mate cheers, he obviously isn’t happy playing as back up and must be pissed he is now behind Matip. I guess the issue is for us finding someone who is happy to be back up and better than the back up we already have.

He’s barely been fit, and not sure we should bring him back in if matip is playing week in week out, and showing signs of improvement.

Matip still gives me fits. Lovs is the better defender and CB and the only reason Matip is playing is cos the two CB's ahead of him (by a large margin, I might add) are injured. Were they not injured, he would have been on the bench, like he had been before they got injured.

Lovs is a good back up BUT I am not sure he would want to be back up so he might leave. And even if he does, we need a CB who is better than Matip and one who can step in for Gomez when unfit so the drop off in performance won't be that steep. We shall see.

I don't think we'll miss Dejan if he leaves. Matip is younger and seems to have put his fitness issues behind him. Let Lovren leave to go be first choice and bring in Dael Fry, who can also play RB (at least under Pulis) .
