Eds any information as to why we've not been playing Shaqiri. is it because klopp thinks that he doesn't do enough back tracking or work off the ball? Just find it strange as he was almost always brought off the bench when we was looking to mix things up a bit.
{Ed001's Note - I keep answering this question over and over but it feels like no one is bothering to read the answer! He lost Klopp's faith when he stopped bothering to work back and left Trent exposed. It was why we ended up going back to 4-3-3 and he was given a few chances off the bench to earn his way back but continued to fail to work back so he is now down the pecking order. You have to earn a place.}

Be all and end all in my opinion is he's not good enough for this Liverpool team. 2 years ago? Sure he'd of probably fit right in but now nah, he's way off. I want to see him do well at Liverpool but will we see it? I have my doubts. He comes across as lazy, its like anything in life, if you try harder you succeed, if you keep on the same track you're stuck in a rut and if you put no effort in then you'll get nowhere. Shaqiri isn't putting enough effort in therefore doesn't deserve a place in the team right now, let's hope he sorts it out otherwise under Klopp it's game over for him.

For what it’s worth I had taken note! It really surprises me that this has happened as it’s not like it wasn’t clear on what Klopp’s minimum expectations were!
Given that Klopp would have signed Shaqiri knowing that he would have to change his game, I. e track back and he hasn’t done this, can you see Shaqiri getting a second chance for Liverpool?
{Ed001's Note - Klopp expected him to realise that it was his last chance at a big club I think and also thought the price was worth the risk as the resale would no doubt recoup almost all of it.}

I think he will realise that eventually Ed, at least i hope he does, he has real talent and unless he is a total clown like Balotelli i expect the penny to drop at some point; this is his last chance at a big club. We all want to love him, he just has to put in the work! Hopefully over time him and Keita will come good, competition for places in midfield can only be a good thing.

OK 👌 Cheers Ed wasn’t aware you’ve addressed this before my bad . thanks for the reply much appreciated ðŸ‘. I agree if you ain’t going to put the effort in then you won’t make it in a klopp side. that’s one thing that can’t be said about lallana as he always puts the effort in when he starts or comes off bench.
as regards to working hard and tracking back 🤔 how can he fetch sturridge on as sub because he doesn’t seem to run a lot when I’ve seen him. the guy seems really slow and sluggish and looks like he’s to frightened to sprint in case he pulls up again. Which is a shame because Jedburgh a very talented player going to waste.

Ed01, this was the fear and concern we all had when Shaq was being signed and unfortunately, it has come to pass. I mean if Salah was picking a sprint t the LB spot to protect the defence during a counter vs Fulham or when you see Bobbie track back to tackle Aguero at the edge of the LFC box vs City last season or when you see the amount of defensive work Mane puts in (in addition to his goals), what's Shaq's excuse for not doing the same thing? He does not have one that's why. I hope he gets his head sorted BUT if he can't then he will be out of here in a flash and we won't miss him at all esp. with Ox (who is a beast defensively) coming back next season.
