Ed02 I read a case has been opened up about city and their FFP what’s the likely out come of this and are there other clubs due to be investigated after the football leeks thanks if u get to it.

{Ed002's Note - It is not related to any “leaks” but Chelsea, Manchester City and the FA were the first of many hits in England.}

2 point deduction would do me.

Thinking that myself benny. How would everyone feel if this investigation ends with man city getting a point deduction which hands is the league. Would you take it?

I have no idea if this would be an actual punishment or not.

lol Benny you wish. I reckon it will go the same way as the last one where the EUFA dude "let them off" which had "nothing to do with the pressure being applied by the clubs concerned". i've yet to see the authorities show willingness to take on the bigger clubs over this issue.

Man City are a case of ‘sports washing’ to a quite ludicrous degree.
A nation’s wealth projected into a football club.
That is just wrong on so many levels.

Large fines and transfer bans are the likely punishments if found guilty, not points deductions.

Are Liverpool due investigating? And what’s the worst out come of the teams in found of breach? Thanks again 02.

{Ed002's Note - Part of the problem is what the FA have allowed to happen, and they have already been punished and appealed, and numerous EPL sides are in breach of their interpretation - including Livrpool. REgardless, I would not worry about it.}

Do you think they will receive a serious punishment or get away with another fine.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City will be charged with a serious infraction - they have to be evidenced and found to be guilty of it.}

Banjo, to answer your question, you'd better believe I'd take it.

I wouldn’t want to win it with a points deduction, you just risk everyone saying you never actually won it.

I would SG Red. If you're guilty you're guilty, plain and simple.

Looks like it's business as normal for City. Like all multi nationals they just balanced the books. don't really expect anything to come out of it.

{Ed002's Note - Based on what?}

Would you all really want to win the title if we won it off the back of city being docked points?
Would that not take the varnish off it for you?
We would always be told that we only managed to win the title because city were deducted points, the title would be worth so much less to me.

The way City is just breaking rules with impunity, certainly cannot be allowed to go on anymore. They just seem to give a true middle-finger to FIFA/ UEFA rules (whatever you may think of them) . At some point, FIFA is not going to have a choice but to throw the book at them. What do you think are the chances of that happening, Ed02?

{Ed002's Note - You mean using the stolen "leaks" information - disjointed over multiple years, subject to sifnificant legal concerns right now? Or something else?}

I think uefa will just impose a big fine like last time. They're bent as hell and will want a nice pay off.

City are beginning to make us all look very naive and petulant for taking the micky out of Chelsea and Abramovich back in the day.

Ashy, yes I would. I'm sure it won't happen, but hypothetically if they are docked points for cheating, then I would very gladly take the championship. I guess the question in reverse would be should Man City accrept the title if there is evidence of and they are convicted of cheating? Not arguing with you just intrigued with the discussion.

I don’t think a points deduction would happen either but if it did it would have to happen in the next 4-5 games.
Can you imagine the chaos if they did it after the season had ended? Then there would be appeals so the deduction would be pending.
It doesn’t just effect us, what about the other 18 teams?
5th place could argue they should finish above city in CL place. What about the cup they’ve already won with potential cheating? 18th place can argue they should finish above City.
Points deduction is a HUGE can of worms. If they want to go down that road there are only 2 possibilities for me : 1) remove city from all competitions completely (very unlikely) or 2) give them a points deduction to start next season (much less messy for everyone) .
I maintain - it is very very unlikely to happen and agree it will be a moderate fine.
