Does anyone think that our more reserved approach has led to us getting a shot at the title?
It's served us well all season so why abandon it now?
Leicester and West Ham were not great but United and Everton were nightmare fixtures. How often will we go there and for both to be delighted with a draw?
Playing with energy and emotion is all well and good but can it be sustained all season?
Give me this season over last season and Rodgers' one good season any day.

Well I think it can be argued that the reserved approach got us here

We were poor at the start of the season and won games ugly getting points on the board but who's to say with van dike full season and Allison in goal Trent and Robertson starting as our main full backs instead Gomez as a centre half with a defensive midfielder (fabinho who took time to settle I agree) who's to say we would or wouldn't be in a good position?

I think it served us well but 4 draws in our last 6 matches isn't good enough so a tweak is on the cards for me

Introduce shaq and Keita in more maybe shaq has goals in the locker.

OP, It is that change in system that got us into this position to go for it with 9 left to play and Klopp's plan for the most part, has worked. Like you say, why go back to a system that has proven over the last 2 years to be unsustainable? That is just stupidity at its finest. Now, is it time to just go for it without calculating or holding back with 9 games to go? We shall see.

Tweaking, yes, but not panicking. And remember two of those four draws were United and Everton away. Most other seasons those would be a point gained game.
We're picking up points without playing well- and they might not be enough- but we've done it for most of the season and playing this way means that we are City's closest challengers.

Due to my love of the club I do get worked up a smidgen and occasionally freak a bit but looking at the games remaining I have thought since the new year that it is going to go to the last 3 games before we have a clear idea of who's going to become champs. There is still a lot of football to be played.

Top post, Rigsby. I think our boys will react decisively vs Burnley cos well, they have no choice now. We got to bring the heat in every game now cos again, we don't have a choice now. Also can I just say that Klopp is the reason the title race this PL season is as exciting as it is. Without Klopp and these wonderful players who go out every week and compete at the highest level, it would have been another procession for City and the PL would be slowly becoming the Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Seria A, The Scottish PL and La Liga. What do they all have in common? They are all a one-team league.
